lillaowow: i keep checking back everyday for the 6ppl i registered for (including myself)....I'm hoping it will just change from ""HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED"" to something else..even though i don't really know what it would say if one is selected..i haven't personally met someone that won a visa lottery before but from the testimonies here, ppl do win this stuff...can someone just give me hint about what the winning notification wld say... (folds arm in front of my system)..shl i keep checking back or just wait till the end of September?

Good bro, send an email to them explaining your situation and lets know their reactions. That would determine whether to continue with the application. They will reply you withing 3days

If I understand you well, Your wife won the visa lottery, your relative won the lottery and you insisted that both of them go as husband and wife, and now you want to make your own plans to join as her husband, how do you think the embassy will recognize you as her husband when she has "a supposed husband", your relative? why did you tell both of them to go as husband and wife? you think the embassy will grant you your visa to go join your girlfriend or wife who they know is married(to your relative) according to their records? infact both you and that your girl are stoopid.

Even if she divorces that guy which could take up to 3 years or more, how are you so sure they will grant you your own? what if things work out well for both of them and they decide to continue with their marriage? your girl friend won, instead of letting her travel as a single woman and then come back for marriage with you, you told her to marry someone else.Just start waving bye bye to her instead of coming online to waste the time you will use to look for another woman. Justwise, nice to have you here. Well, they won't practically be staying together. She goes to Boston while the guy is already in NJ. But somehow, they will work things out over the papers. Time is the factor here. Can I wait? Well, time will tell and I sincerely hope I can wait. She will be coming back home once in a while or we meet in UK when i travel. Anyways, God will take control. auschris: Dear forumites, my brother was selected in the DV2013 program. while submitting his entry, i made a mistake in the surname(CHISTOPHER instead of CHRISTOPHER. Please, can anyone one provide me with info on how to correct this mistake? i've already sent a mail to KCC but they are yet to reply. I need to send the DS 122 and 230 forms as soon as possible. which of the names do i fill in the forms?
Also, how soon can his interview date be scheduled? His case number is 13XXX.

My man, thanks a lot. They were interviewed and issued the winning lottery early last April. The winning will expire by October and both were expected to have traveled to the states by then. Though the principal applicant (my relative) traveled two weeks ago. I have no doubt that my woman is mine. It's just about trying to see how best we can utilize this opportunity. mistakes in your name does not disqualify you.
what matters is that you are the one in the picture in the application, because when u get there on the day of the interview,the passport you bring will be used to confirm the one you used in the original application. if confirmed to be the same person, u are good to go. keep ur mind at rest. no panicking and prepare very well for that daY.

Wow!! i mean wow!!, how much do you love and trust your wife and the relative? I mean. . how do you expect your wife to travel and live with your relative in a strange land for at least 2yrs without things getting awkward?

People telling you to get a good lawyer and divorce him and file for you did not tell you the whole truth.

If she managed to divorce him, she has to come back to Nigeria, get 'married' to you then apply for spouse visa for you then wait, all these will take nothing less than 4yrs, will this marriage survive this expensive gamble? Can you afford the cost?
