@Beaf is a Shadow that seeks attention and that's why "it" is always on the side of minority vs majority. I advise you to ignore "its" posts and responses to your posts. Through that, "it" will become irrelevant. I agree that there are poor in Osun state but we're not wretched as opposed to what one @poster typed. The 3,000 acres of farm land in the news is inaccurate because the directive was that each LG should provide 1000 hectares of land which is 31,000 hectares total, about 77,500 acres. May be 3,000 acres (1,200ha) of farm land has been cultivated so far.

DAY11.:

@Beaf,

Bro, you always somersaults fire on NL. your point are always baseless and senseless

You just like another baba suwe on NL. undecided

Gbawe:

Correct . The ignoramus does not even know what dry season farming means (a very important consideration for Africa given our challenges with drought and poor irrigation) yet he jumps into this thread ignorantly to try and ridicule Aregbesola. In the end , Beaf only succeed in highlighting his own ignorance and mischief . Let us remember the saying of Sir Walter Scott ; "oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive ".

I used to think that as a journalist and someone so close to the corridors of power, this Beaf would have bridled tongue and logical reasoning devoid of biases and crass political jingoism, alas!, I was wrong. He appears to be a BEEF (malu) after all. No wonder he was replaced by a more decent gentleman.

@Beaf
must you always be a pessimist, i have followed you for a long time and thought you to be a balanced critic and knowledgeable, but alas, you have disappointed me over and over again.
Leave partisanship and discuss issues with fairness to all. Lastly, stop the name calling if you are to be regarded as a serious person.

‘Osun’ll Open Up Orile Owu To Link Ogun State’

Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said that the road linking Osun State with Ogun State en-route Orile-Owu, would soon be reconstructed, to enhance inter-state movement and trade between Ogun and Osun states, thereby fast-tracking socio-economic transformation of the two sister states.
Aregbesola made this known while on a visit to Ayedaade Local Government Council Area, where he commissioned series of projects executed by the Chairman, caretaker committee of the council area, Evangelist Nathaniel Akinsoji Arabambi, to mark his 100 days in office.
The state deputy governor, who represented the governor on the occasion, Otunba (Mrs) Grace Laoye-Tomori, commissioned several blocks of classrooms, teachers’ offices built in various schools at Oogi, Orile-Owu, Odeomu and Gbongan. Others included a new Primary Health Centre at Motako, Orile-Owu and a block of 10 open market stalls at Odeomu.
Also at the commissioning, the council’s caretaker committee boss donated medical equipment worth thousands of naira to the Primary Health Centre in the area. He commended the administration of Rauf Aregbesola for being a people-friendly government that has taken several worthy steps towards ensuring qualitative health care delivery in Osun State.
While recounting his list of achievements, Arabambi described Aregbesola as a motivating factor, whose style of governance, passion and skills have kept him on his toes to make laudable impact on the lives of the people of Ayedaade.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of Aregbesola, Laoye-Tomori described the Ayedaade council boss as a true replica of Aregbesola, an attribute which the deputy governor said came through the council boss’ laudable impact in the areas of education and health-care delivery within his short period of holding sway at the helms of affairs in the council area.
The deputy governor then assured that Odeomu, being a major town in the council area, would receive a lot of face-lift, just as Orile-Owu would be opened up as a town linking Osun with Ogun State.

Why is everyone so focused on Fashola sometimes. Esp when we have politicians like mimiko and Aregbesola. The thing I like about Mimiki is that he does attach a lot of propaganda and spotlight to his good work. The way it should be.

Osun govt promises access roads to farmers

Written by Adewale Ajayi Wednesday, 07 September 2011

Osun State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Prince Wale Adedoyin, has assured farmers in the state that the state government was committed to rendering all necessary assistance, to make it easy for them to get their produce to the market.

He said this when he inspected the level of work done at Iwo Farm Settlement by Rural Access and Mobility Project RAMP which is handling road construction and drainage system construction.

He also took the advantage to listen to the problems the farmers encounter before getting their produce to the market.

Prince Adedoyin noted that , the construction work was slowed down because of the rains and as soon as the dry season approaches the work would resume in earnest. ”We will concentrate on the major access road , we have gone round and seen the level of preparedness of government, the problem we are facing is this rainy season , we can’t do much now until the rains stop .”

He explained that he was aware that , when it rained heavily, farmers often found it difficult to transport their produce out of the farm promising that all the problems would be addressed .

He equally directed the Director of Agric Service, Mr Dauda Ajisekola, to ensure fertilisers were released to the farmers to boost their produce, just as he warned that the fertilizer should be released to only those that required it , and as well make optimum use of it .

Appreciating effort of government in assisting to repair the roads leading to the farm , the president of the farmers, Alhaji Raimi Olabanji, said lack of access road had made some farmers abandoned farming , but now that the state government had repaired the road , they were happy , just as he urged the state to expedite action on the construction of bridges over the river that demarcated a portion of the farm and Akinyemi farm .
