The last sentence on my PCC reads "This Certificate is issued to the holder for the purpose of Travelling to United States of America and it is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance." I believe I applied for travelling....

Thank you very much. This really helps. Someone told me I chosed the wrong option (traveling) that I should have chosen residency. That was why I became confused in that respect

Please any clue on this also?
I applied on 20.08.2023 from Diaspora, but till now, no progress. Showing pending. I chatted them, they said it may take 24 to 48 for the status to move. But still nothing since then.

Any clue from anyone?

I think one of the best things we can do here to help ourselves in terms of knowing what is happening is to state our DQ and priority dates. With this info, we can begin to make informed guesses about what moth the embassy is/has invited for interview. The wait is killing!!!

Finallly!!!! Really happy for you bro!!!!! keep us posted!! seems like the traffic jam is slowly clearing off with end of fiscal year. WIll be on the look out post Labour day holdiay on monday if this largesse continues or we wait till end of the month for another batch.!. eku patience every body

The FY begin in October each year.

In 2022 FY, a total of 127 IL were granted in Lagos Embassy.

In 2023 FY, and with the release of July Lagos EB-2 visa interview update (only 1), it brings the total so far to 125.

This means that only 2 EB-2 visa interviews were scheduled for August and September.

With DQs of September to maybe November or December getting IL, It will be interesting to see how many EB-2 visa interviews granted in October 2023 (beginning of 2024 FY). This will give us a clue on how the IL will progress for the remaining part of the 2024 FY.

Reason for asking is if this rate of 2-3months continue, which should be the case (similar to CR1,IR visa scheduling in the past 6 months ) at least from september through February 2023, the backlog may be reduced to average of 4 months (seem overtly optimistic, US consulate please humour me )...

The Letters today possibly was meant to have been sent out between Monday 28th august to cover for August IL batch. If this is the approach going forward, i will probably expect September IL to cover Dec '22 through February 2023 DQ bare in mind PD also ought to be current based on visa bulletin

October IL to cover Feb/March through April/May 2023 DQ, with Current PD based on visa bulletin (Visa bulletin may move to November 22 PD ROW)

November IL to cover May/June through July DQ. one month at a time we shall get there.

From what we have heard recently in this group, November DQ received IL, not sure about December, I only speculated.

However, your forecast doesn't work that way.

Dec. 2022 - 10
Jan. 2023 - 13
Feb. 2023 - 01
Mar. 2023 - 00
Apr. 2023 - 00
May 2023 - 00

Sept. 2023 - Yet to be released but should be 0

That will make the total 127 slots for EB-2 visa interviews for the 2023 FY.

More IL are issued at the beginning of the FY. So, the fewer ILs released in October to have gotten to DQ of November 2022, the better for us down the que.

E.g. if 125 ILs are released in October and November 2023, it means they can only issue 2 more ILs for the rest of the FY.

Time will tell. 125-127 is a function of capacity by the local consulate and not some etched in stone annual limit as you insinuate. if that is the case, how do you explain the 7% country cap (summation of Employment based + Family Based category) of the total visa allocated for the fiscal year ?

I think they stopped at Dec 2022. I already had private chats with people with DQ of Dec 2022, Jan and Feb 2023. The person with Dec 2022 DQ confirmed receipt of IL last night for mid Oct.

Listen to their webinar. Missed most of the first hour. At $12k - 15k, one needs to double check and be sure of legit and credibility. On face value, they seems legit though but one must be double sure.
Their 'approach' to NIW is WOW. I would not have thought of it this that way. Following their NIW approach, even for a DIY, one should sail through.

$12k is a flece. Don't pay any Lawyer beyond $4k, actually you can self-petition or find genuine people that can assist for less.

Is there anyone with Dec 2022 or Jan 2023 still awaiting IL.

I don't think anyone with 2022 DQ is still waiting. I stand to be corrected though.

I am EB-3 with January 2023 DQ but still waiting for IL. Fingers crossed
