My dear, you may read the scriptures but understanding comes from God.
Lack of understanding of the scriptures have brought about different interpretation by individuals.
Understanding, according to Jesus Christ, comes from using even the little understanding you already have - Matthew 13 vs 12 and Mark 4 vs 22 - 24 and Matthew 25 vs 29. You can pray until you are blue in the face, but the only way to get understanding from God is to begin by using the understanding He has already given you, even if it is simply human language comprehension skills. undecided

Lack of understanding of scripture is born of a refusal to obey God's teachings and commandments, and this is the very reason why people go around injecting their personal delusions as interpretation for scripture where God has required none. To understand scripture, one simply needs to open one's eyes and mind to accept what is written as is written. undecided

In Proverbs 3:5–6, we read this counsel: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

The Holy Bible is a book that is well loaded with information. A preacher can actually take only one verse in a chapter and give a very long expository teaching. Another preacher can take the same verse and simply browse through and move on.

In Proverbs 3:5–6, we read this counsel: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
So, is what is written in Proverbs 3 vs 5 - 6 somehow meant to counter what is Jesus Christ's direct commandment to you which is that you use the understanding you have, in order that more will be given to you? undecided
21 Then Jesus said to them, “You don’t take a lamp and hide it under a bowl or a bed, do you? Of course not. You put it on a lampstand.
22 Everything that is hidden will be made clear. Every secret thing will be made known.
23 You people who hear me, listen!
24 Think carefully about what you are hearing. God will know how much to give you by how much you understand now. But he will give you more than you deserve.
25 The people who have some understanding will receive more. But those who do not have much will lose even the small amount they have.” - Mark 4 vs 21 - 25
...
10 The followers came to Jesus and asked, “Why do you use these stories to teach the people?”
11 Jesus answered, “Only you can know the secret truths about God’s kingdom. Those other people cannot know these secret truths.
12 The people who have some understanding will be given more. And they will have even more than they need. But those who do not have much understanding will lose even the little understanding that they have.
13 This is why I use these stories to teach the people: They see, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really hear or understand. - Matthew 13 vs 10 - 12
....
28 “So the master told his other servants, ‘Take the one bag of money from that servant and give it to the servant who has ten bags.
29 Everyone who uses what they have will get more. They will have much more than they need. But people who do not use what they have will have everything taken away from them.’
30 Then the master said, ‘Throw that useless servant outside into the darkness, where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.’ - Matthew 25 vs 28 - 30
...
25 “The men said to the king, ‘But sir, that servant already has ten bags of money.’
26 “The king said, ‘People who use what they have will get more. But those who do not use what they have will have everything taken away from them.
27 Now where are my enemies? Where are the people who did not want me to be king? Bring my enemies here and kill them. I will watch them die.’” - Luke 19 vs 25 - 27

Christ is insinuating that you are blessed to be a blessing.

That's why he said that a lamp is not meant to be covered up instead, it is to be put up to give light to all.

"Take heed what you hear": means diligently attend to it, seek to understand it, and lay it up in your minds and memories, that it may be of use to you in time to come, and you may be useful in communicating it to others.

Matthew 13:12 NLT
To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.

1. There is no mention of the word "blessing" in any of the contexts, so be careful not to twist what is written to suit the narrative you prefer. You are asked to carefully process and use what you glean from what you hear. So, please go over what is written in that context as it is, so you can understand exactly what Jesus Christ is in fact saying from that which you seem to want Him to be saying instead. undecided

As for blessings, Jesus Christ more than made it clear in His teachings that those who are blessed in HIs Kingdom are those who obey His teachings and commandments, not just anyone who brandishes claims of believing in Him. So please be careful what you subscribe to using the Name of Jesus Christ. undecided

Please refer to my earlier message, we don't need to argue about the scriptures. Instead, pray to God to reveal the truth to you through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Note: Jesus Christ confirmed the scriptures. He knew the scriptures, he very well understood the scriptures and even used the scriptures to overcome the devil during his temptation.

Good night

God never said you have to pray for His Truth to be revealed as you have probably been thought by your pastors and mogs. Instead, God made it clear, even through Parables, that it is by using that which you have that you will be able to receive more. Those who refuse to use what they have will not be given more. undecided

We are admonished to pray without ceasing.
Even Christ promised to send the Holy Spirit

John 14:16-17
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—
17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Open your eyes to see what Jesus Christ is telling you even in that verse which you conveniently lift out of context to say that which it doesn't mean. Jesus Christ, even in that, is telling you that you need to use that which you have been given, not hide it like the ungrateful servant who dug the ground and hid the talents he was given by his master. The lamp shouldn't be hidden under the bed but used to light up the place so that others can benefit from it too. Again, He is asking you to use the understanding you have, and it is only then that more understanding will be given to you. undecided

You are indeed asked to pray without ceasing, but no amount of praying will change what God has declared to be the way to receive even understanding from Him. If you refuse to use the understanding He has given you, you will not more understanding from Him no matter how ceaselessly you pray for it. Obedience, not prayer, is the key in the Kingdom of God. undecided

Recall that Jesus Christ told you in John 14 vs 6 that He is the way, the TRUTH, and the Life? Well, the one who is the Spirit of Truth is the very Spirit that was in Jesus Christ when He was here on earth, and as Jesus Christ clearly informed you in John 16 vs 1 - 15, the Spirit of Truth, His Spirit, who comes after He is gone, will take from what is the Truth of Jesus Christ to give to you. So, if you think the Spirit of Truth came to change that which was decreed by Jesus Christ while He was on earth, you have another thing coming for you. undecided

I believe that the significance of the teaching of the talents is for us believers to go out and work for Christ and win souls to God. Try and reach out to people who have not accepted Christ and win them over.

Like the Apostles and the early christians and even the missionaries did. They left the comfort of their homes and came to Africa. Some of these missionaries were killed and their flesh eaten by African natives back then.

These people are examples of the people who received the Gospel message and weren't selfish with it. They gained more souls for Christ.

That statement in bold is not what Jesus Christ told you as He made clear the lesson of His telling you that Parable clearly in the context. And the message is clear "Everyone who uses what they have will get more. They will have much more than they need. But people who do not use what they have will have everything taken away from them.’" This is the statement in Matthew 25 vs 29 and Luke 19 vs 26 . Once you begin to add your own interpretation to that which is written, not only have you veered away from the teachings of Jesus Christ, but you guarantee that you will remain blind to His Truth for longer. undecided

Jesus Christ made it known from the beginning that those who belong to Him, those who love Him are those who obey His teachings and commandments- John 14 vs 15 - 20. So, if you instead follow the examples of those you refer to as His apostles, you delude yourself because He never asked you to do any of that, to begin with. undecided

So, one needs to always pray for understanding. In all thy getting, get wisdom.

If good people are going to heaven
Why did Psalms 37:29 says otherwise

Why did Jesus says some are going to heaven why others will enjoy life on earth Mathew 5:3,5.

If people don die & wept in heaven, where will people enjoy this blessings in Revelation 21:4

Where in the Gospels did Jesus Christ in fact promise you a crown, to begin with?
