Prison in Norway is posher than the houses of many of your politicians. You would think after stealing so much money, they live like humans, but no, broke prisoners in Norway live in better conditions than them. Prison should rehabilitate you, not destroy your will to live and make you bitter during release, something Norway (and the Nordics generally understands).

I also know a guy that was a prisoner, he have to serve for some hours every weekend, then live his normal life as a dignified human. In fact, if you get a speed ticket in Norway, you will have to pay a fine or serve some days in prison, and usually, you have to book an appointment in advance for a slot to serve your sentences. So no police slapping and insulting you because of a crime.

We might be equal as humans, but culturally, some people are actually superior to others.

So, what do you expect. Norway is one of the most peaceful Countries in the world.

It would be unfair for the prison not to look like this in one of the most peaceful Countries in the world.

I heard in Netherlands and denmark prisoners can be allowed to go out and work or school provided they'd come back to continue their sentence whenever work is over.

Yes, greed and wickedness make people suffer. If we are ten in a room for example and we choose to be wicked to each other, we will never grow, compared to others that choose to be good to themselves. Because even if the most wickedest of the ten of us is rich, he would have to spend an unnecessary amount for personal security, live his life in fear, and burden himself with the fear of the other nine of us.

Meanwhile, we all could just treat each other nicely and be happy, then grow without limit.

No, people will not purposely commit crimes just to have rested there. Nigerians and Norwegians are humans, and no humans want captivity. But if it happens that Nigeria becomes as good as Norway, people will have an awesome life to a point that such prison will be hell for them.

No amount of luxury will be better than captivity, after all, a golden prison is still a prison.
