NANS should take over all airports in Nigeria. Let the politicians travel by roads so that some people can get business. If you know, you know. |

Sixfiguresmart: Reduced Fee, you say? Even western nations citizens are paying a premium for education. You want them to ask for a reduced fee but expecting better infrastructure in the schools. It doesnt work that way. |

I think this guys and the organisers should be arrested for disturbing the peace of innocent people in Lagos and other states. Is Lagos the sit of power? What stops them from going straight to Aso Rock or the Minister incharge. NANS should do the right thing and stop being used for political selfish gain. |

Don't do 3rd mainland; continue with the airports but go to Nnamdi Azikiwe! Enough with protest in SW, Lagos is not the seat of power. Take the fight to your oppressors |

Sir, we are a oil producing nation. Look at what other nations do for their citizens. We have the cash to do more than that Sir. There is no need why every single citizen in the country should not be a millionaire. Other countries pay free tuition and even grant loans for education to be paid during a lifetime. Why should we pay fees in this country? How many lecturers are active? how much are they paid. Some are paid 150k naira with decades of experience. Then, how much is our actual oil revenue when you cancel corruption? other countries pay salaries to their citizen for doing nothing in 30 days. Just free dividends of oil. You are very wealthy MT, do not be deceived. Other countries use education to sustain their economy. Nigeria only needs to sell oil and that's that. without corruption, you would have been booking tickets to a new destination on tour every single month. Do the math for yourself. MT: |

Sixfiguresmart: I understand you but let us face it, Nigeria is not in position to reduce tuition fee for the students. We do not have such money at the moment. How many products are we exporting apart from Crude oil? The students traveling out of the country, medical tourism, flight etc deplete the FG dollar-denominated account everyday. It is a tall order. Advanced countries offer their citizens loan to study and pay back later when working. But this loan is gotten from taxes paid. How many people are paying taxes in Nigeria? Even, the little taxes paid, Is it not being mismanaged? We are not ready! |
Re: NANS Denies Reports of Planned Protest on Third Mainland Bridge by Sixfiguresmart(m): 11:55am On Sep 21, 2022 |
MT:What you are essentially saying is that the mismanagement should continue because if it stops, it will benefit the youths. The cogent reason why the mismanagement continues is because there is nowhere to use the money. If all ministries and government mount this sort of pressure from NANS on the government, there will be little to steal. Did you know that there is a functioning ministry of water resources in Nigeria? Who works there? Did you know that the Nigerian water board is still in operation? What do they do? Did you know that there is a functioning ministry for transport? What do they do? Where does the allocation go? Ministry of power AND STEEL. Nigerians are not asking. We die in silence. The government sees the loophole and takes advantage of it. Your job as a citizen is not to speak for the government. The government should speak for you. You are telling the government that there is no money while they are telling you that even their snakes and monkeys eat money. There is money. I live here in Abuja. I see money everyday. Many countries survive on crude ALONE. Why should we be different. Some have no crude and they are better. If the government cannot find the money, let them create the tools to make it. Let me show you how they deceive you: Nigeria's crude oil production fell below 1 million barrels per day (bpd) in August. Okay, it fell and we are suffering. Fine. Before it fell, why WERE we suffering? Where is the cash for the 1 million barrel in June and July? If we can remain steady with less than a million, where would they have put the one million barrels had it not fallen short? Nothing fell short. Someone simply stole the one million barrels. He is going to continue to steal it until someone else comes in or it gets discovered. Whatever you do, never ask the "how" for any government. Ask them 'why'. |
