Yet, Peter Obi and Atiku want to rule Nigeria. People who dont know how to make money for the people. They only know how to make money for their pockets.

I don't care about IGR, it does not translate to quality standard of living. Those states with big IGR are still shit hole, some of the indigenes are still very poor and not better off than those states u mentioned. Until Nigeria is restructured keep ur IGR to yourself. Again those u mentioned as landlock want to go their separate way yet they wouldn't allow them.
SE leaders are not stupid to exceed out of Nigeria cos they knw how worst the outcome would be.
Biafra will be worst that Haitis if you secede.

You're not from Lagos!.

Most Yorubas claim Lagos saying Yorubas
are one but most don't claim Ekiti or Osun.

What is your contribution to Lagos IGR?
successmatters:
Thank you NBS

I think the amount allocated to Lagos is wrong. Dangote has been doing a lot of business and paying so much tax to Lagos government, the money should be deducted and given to Kano before hunger finish hi brothers up north grin

A whole Kano, with over 10 million people in population is doing only 40 billion with Edo sitting on top of Kano, looking over its head grin

Bini no dey carry last abeg

South west #972 billion
North West #174 billion Only?
Haba, upon all the landmass, and small South west is still beating them silly? grin

Lagos should just buy over Yobe state grin

Proudly Lagosian grin grin grin

Lagos leads the pack with a clear lead.

And villagers from a riff-raff region want to jump on nairaland to make noise where southwesters are having intellectual discussions?

Obaseki great job
Delta and Edo State (BENDEL) representing well

Using iGR to praise governors is just like praising the pastor for collecting offering.
What you should be praising is the ability to effectively utilize the IGR collected.

I can see how Lagos and Ogun are benefiting from each other ...

This could have been the same story between Akwa ibom and Abia ,but bad leadership won't allow these two states to harness thier potential,

If you the enormous human capital and entrepreneur that's lost due to lack of access road between this two states, then you'll weep

Obi is the worst. In 8 years he couldn't add N1b to the IGR of Anambra. The same man is jumping (all alone) from one TV station to another saying he would turn around Nigeria's economy within weeks.

I am very impressed with Edo state, despite the pittance it receives from the center it is still able to look inwards generate such huge amount compared to huge states like Kano and the rest.
Thumbs-up to Gov. Obaseki to his dogged leadership.

let it happen first, this type of system of Government we practice here is holding some states down, whether they work or not there must be monthly allocations.

I quite disagree with those saying there is little a governor can do to help improve IGR.
This report clearly shows VAT should go to the states not FG . 2. restructuring is needed. 3. Lies of APC is 2nd to none (Crude Oil discovered in Bauchi lol) 4. Many northern governors are billionaires but see poverty in their states. 5. Governors can give 10 years tax relief to investors, protect investors, and give land to investors who can add value to the state. This explains why Nigeria is the way it is.

What investments are in those states to generate such iGR? IGR no be magic o, na correct hardwork.

No body is holding any state down, they have their own executive, judiciary and legislature but most are sleeping on bicycle

Why is Delta state taking loans upon loans. Back to the topic, it seems the more states generate from igr, the more loans they take and the more people become poorer.

Lagos leads the pack with a clear lead.
Just look at my Edo state! Very impressive internal generated revenue, but I don't know what Obaseki is doing with the money. When Oshiomole intensified efforts and raised IGR from millions to the billions the state is generating under Obaseki, Oshiomole's projects were visible across the state.

Ogun State needs to invest in Housing and security

If that is in place with a rail link to Lagos many people will relocate there

Also with technology Ogun can feed Lagos

Why is it that IPOB terrorists generally are bitter people?

Lagos recorded that high lead and instead of at least commending the government on the topic, you had to smuggle Tinubu in to show your bitterness.

The lunatic Obi the fugitive that governed Anambra couldn’t set up a clear path for the state revenue to grow which led to Soludo borrowing over 100billion in his first 100 days as governor.

USA is the most indebted country in the world, yet they are the number one economy in the world. Loans does not neccessarily mean you are doing bad, it is what you do with the loans that matter.

In Lagos, we are building light rail, something your Igbo governors right from Azikiwe days never dared achieved. We attracted refineries, deep seaports, and etc. while your people continue to hate and hate and hate.

What has your hate led you to?
The refinery we have already built.orient refinery in Anambra state.we do things without the federal government surport that's why we don't give a shit who rules just need a level play ground and you see wonders
