hahaha....the US has more access to security information in your country than your country's own security services. The US entered Nigeria's territory and carried out an ops to rescue an american kidnapped by Boko Haram and your country's security forces never knew about it until after the ops when the US now informed them and Lai Mohammed ran to the press to claim it was a joint ops between Nigeria and US.
In case you don't know, your country is totally screwed.

Like I said, even if our security agencies knew about it, they wouldn't come out to issue such security warning, it will create panic and chaos. It's usually issue as an internal memo.

Why Abuja? If US learned of an impending attack why not share the info and help prevent it ? This is fear mongering ... and the DSS is not helping. This is not a new warning. It's a routine update, amd the DSS has made such warnings in the recent past.

The current status is reconsider travel, which is the normal status for most of Nigeria. When there is a stronger concern, the threat level will be raosed to Imminent and the advisory will be DO NOT TRAVEL.

Does DSS share protests Intel with US embassy?
Their job is to keep Nigeria one and they have no response mechanism for real issues. That's why anytime a bad thing happens, they end up claiming they shared Intel about the impending danger but never foiling it. Example is Abuja-Kaduna train attack and abduction.
