Atiku supports restructuring, so Yoruba will be okay with his presidency

He says he does. Buhari said a lot of things too that made Yorubas leaders work for him and Yorubas vote for him. It was all Taqiyaah.

He had never won a single Yoruba State in several previous attempt. In 2015, with Tinubu and other prominent Yorubas in his corner, he won all Yoruba States bar Ekiti which was under Fayose then.

That is the sort of support Yorubas are now demanding from the North. They have had their 8 years to better Nigeria and themselves personally. They did not.

Instead Buhari and his crew followed a parochial agenda of trying to give the North pecuniary, physical, ethnic, border control, partial allocation and even armed forces advantages.

No sensible Yoruba will trust Atiku's promises. He is the same person fighting the ban on open grazing when any sane and progressive Nigerians knows it is no longer "tenable" as Tinubu directly insisted.

Any changes Yorubas cannot implement ourselves we won't trust the North to do on our behalf. We did that with Buhari and look where it got us. We will not vote another Northerner. Least of all Atiku.

If he wins then the agitation below just has to become full time and concentrated till we get it. Yorubas are now convinced Northerners cannot be progressive or innovative.

They seem happy, leaders and followers, to live regressively and that will always affect how a Northerner can lead as President.

Atiku can say all he wants but once President he will never restructure Nigeria because doing such means giving tough love to Northerners. No Northern leader has ever shown a desire or determination to do that.
