When his “anti – lynching” bill was sensationalized and misrepresented by the media, despite tthe fact that a similar law was passed in the USA, Ndi Mbaise advised him to withdraw it, which he promptly did in absolute obedience. Beyond that, he has periodically presented his scorecards and progress report to the Peoples Democratic Party, Ndi Eze Mbaise and Ezuruezu Mbaise. He equally visited our various churches and communities to encourage them to participate in his comprehensive development projects and take advantage of avenues for economic survival presented by the Federal government.*

He has ensured that his two bills seeking to establish important institutions - the Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery and the National Football Academy in Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Constituency - pass second reading. The respective committees are at the verge of approving them for reports. His commitment to persuade the Federal government to establish its presence in our constituency is not in doubt. It has never happened in the history of the constituency.*

11�The A. T. Mbegbu Template: It may surprise us to know that future -facing development planning is not new. From 1964, when Barr Theodore Ahamefule Mbegbu represented our constituency at the Federal House, a template for Mbaise development has remained in the pipeline until recently excavated by Hon Emeka Chinedu. The establishment of the National Football Academy Ahiara, in line with the dreams of ‘Mbaise First Eleven’, the Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery, etc. are extracts from this road map. We cannot afford to elect those who have no clue about where we are coming from and where we are heading to.
