I lived very close to Bar Beach for 20years. I can chronicle how the Fg spends billions of naira every 2 to 3 on reclaimation of the beach. Just before Nigeria 99 the whole of the road that was erode was reconstructed within 2 weeks.

The present embankment on Bar Beach had 60% contribution by the FG and the total cost was over 10billion dollars.

*Secondely if its going to be under water in 50years, itsn't it reasonable to start relocating people from there, why invest so much scarce resources in a place that will be under water in 50 years, Many ND communities face this sane sort of natural challanges from the ocean, they end up relocating, Better the Lagos state govt start planing for the future than wait for FG to distribute ND funds to it,
