You've not travelled out before. The whites on average are far far nicer than blacks!

Tribalism is worst than racism. While racism is on the decline, tribalism is on the increase and tribalism is done to your fellow compatriots
Light78:
Racism.
Imagine no one wants to talk to you because you are black.

Many of the men here think if they go there they will make friends easily. That's a lie

Let's practice...

We are gonna use Man A and a White lady as an example.

He is walking toward a while lady to start a conversation with her.

White lady: Who is this person gravitating towards me?

Man A: Hi, how're you doing?

White lady: Are you sure you are okay? Should I call the authorities on you?

Man A:. He says to himself, shaiii, I think say na so e go easy oooo...

Heard of Nasal Rinse? Also, I believe there's a precise instrument used by ENTs called a nasal suction... endoscopy... Thin camera like tube inserted in the nose with the image displayed on a monitor. That could give a precise prognosis to your blockages... apparently finding a good and WELL EQUIPPED ENT is the bone of contention

The fear of becoming an 8th class in a strange culture/society/environment.

The experience wasn't palatable at all.

1st class - Female citizens that are not brown in color
2nd class - Children of the above citizens that are not brown in color
3rd class - Dogs and pets
4th class - Male citizens that are not brown in color (including the fathers and husbands/ex husbands of the 1st class citizens)
5th class - gay, lesbians, non binary and every other rubbish out there.
6th class - Immigrants that are not brown in color
7th class - Citizens that are brown in color
8th class - Africans of all shades of brown. (This is where majority of you will belong)
Hmmm

After reading replies in this thread, I came to a reasonable conclusion that 90% of people here are either illiterate or are people who can't afford to relocate.

As someone who understands the basis for most racial discrimination, I don't get fazed by those acts. In my mind, I say, I perfectly understand why they behaved like that. If you understand how the average human behaves, you will have fewer issues to deal with. Also, the issue of mass shootings is US-centric. Nigerians who stay outside the US don't need to be bothered about being shot (I still don't know what a gun looks like).

My four cardinal rules on how to thrive in the abroad esp for non-English speaking countries:

- Learn the language
- Stick to the rules
- Be highly skilled
- Respect boundaries.

I was raised using those rules, so even when I served in the South West, I faced no issues even though I was not from there. When in Rome, do like the Romans. As for Ndi LGTV, you let the kids spend or experience life in sub-Saharan Africa so that they see how life can be for people who look like them. The reasons are to ensure they understand the privilege they have, where their dad or parents came from, the reason the parent(s) had to migrate etc. Also, you put them through religion to an extent. The major issue western societies face is a drastic decline in religion, which has affected the culture as it was largely Judeo-Christian. It is the reason non-Christian Asian nations are not dealing with LGTV issues. Also, many politicians/policymakers are not pragmatic due to extreme wokeness.

If you are socially inclined, you should stay in Nigeria or mind your business by focusing on what took you there. Afterwards, you can decide to move elsewhere that is seemingly functional (many Nigerian elites worked or studied abroad, so you won't be an exception). You cannot win in all ways. Also, no born plenty children so that you can be better involved in their lives.

linearity:

You can protect yourself from this.

And, NO they don’t steal from you. They do equitable distribution, which means both parties gets almost equal share of assets & liabilities in case of divorce regardless who earns what.

This is why White Americans hardly marries down the economic ladder i.e. the percentage of low income whites that marries high income blacks are higher than the reverse case. This results into net-wealth flow from blacks to whites if the union get into divorce.

Having known this truth, blacks should use it to their advantage. Don’t go with the African mentality that, only the ‘man provides for the house’, marry up the economic ladder, do not be ashamed to ask your wife or girlfriend to contribute 80% of the rent that you can only contribute 20%…at the worst case scenario settle for someone that can at least contribute a minimum of 50%.

You are no longer Africa, check your pride and egos, no one’s cares about those in the western world. Don’t be ashamed to ask your girlfriend to pay for the dinner date, that you are broke. Don’t fall for that trap about your fiancée wanting to be a ‘full Housewife’ so that the kids can be well taken care off by their mummy instead of the daycare, let’s her go hussle and bring-in her 50%.

Judged during divorce default to the home lifestyle that both of you have created before divorce. So if you have agreed that, she be the ‘Housewife and home keeper’ and you the workaholic and breadwinner, her attorney will use that against you and win…the Judge will not all of sudden force into the streets to go look for a job when you have rendered her economically invaluable and degrees worthless by allowing her not to work for the past 10 years. The judge will in most cases agree that, the lifestyle you guys have created be maintained for many years after the divorce i.e. she remains a housewife taking care of the kids, she should likely take the house since she did have updated employable skills and you go out and continue killing yourself winning the bread and paying for everything while she slowly ramp up her employable skills over many years in the future.

Know their games and rules and use them to your advantage, no body is going to congratulate you for killing yourself to provide for the whole household rather, they will use it against you that…e.g. ‘You have an history of high capacity production and industriousness and are capable of earning higher’ therefore you should pay more to the other party.

Shine your eyes, Love is not blind….If love is blind and from the heart, why is Dangote daughter not falling in love with that wheelbarrow pusher in the market?

Marry lateral or up the economic ladder, this off-course, include those even though they are earning lower now, but have the capacity to ramp up in the future.

Though I don’t condole it, but this is the game and rule those young black guys that married old and almost expiring white ladies have mastered and we ignorantly laughed at them. The white have been using this rule against us for ages….if those 75 or 80 years old mamas passed on due to old age, these black guys would have a net-wealth flow from white to black, this helping the black race to recoup some of our loses…..and guess what? They will turn around and marry one of our black sisters who had before now ignorantly and foolishly cursing them out for marrying an old woman, forgetting that, the young brother understands the rules and have a game plan.
Thanks. I have learnt a new addition to my game today.

Wow, you're rather proud and self-important of the "abroad" that you didn't help build. Are you like a shegoat to his he-goat or has abroad somehow turned you to an ass?
Re: What Scares You The Most About Relocating Abroad? by Qurungu: 7:28am On Dec 29, 2022
1. Strange country, totally different culture
2. This colors people matter that they are ramming down the throats of kids
3. Subtle racism (I now understand how to deal with this).

The abroad also has a way of making you angry against Nigeria if you are not careful. It’s like this, because a person may never form roots that make them feel it’s home, or the society will always tell you it’s not home, a person may just get angry and vent it on social media as pretext for wanting to see Nigeria develop. All na wash, na because they no dey engaged for Yankee/Jand. That’s what drives a good number of our social justice warriors who live abroad and no longer see anything good about Nigeria. All na projection.
