Why do we always make things difficult for ourselves?
How difficult can it be to make things easy in this country?
NIM registration, Voters registration and now collection, problem!

You really believe anyone can stop someone with bank CEOs as his friends from making withdrawal?!

Emefiele is obviously on to something sinister and bigger than vote buying

Yet to see a CBN team as confused as Emefiele and co, since the advent of our democracy.

This move was clearly a political motive that was promulgated to deter money bags from vote buying in the February elections. Yet, a few days after the release of the new notes, Bola Ahmed Tinubu handed an entire bundle of the new 1000 naira note to an elderly Northern man in the full glare of the watching public and cameras.

If Tinubu has enough access to the new notes to dispense more than the ordinary Nigerian's daily withdrawal limit of 100K in the space of 1minute, then the essence of the naira redesign has been defeated. He and other politicians clearly have stacked up their vaults with the new notes already, ahead of the elections. So, in addition to the fact the new notes are the ugliest we have ever had in circulation, the move has been nothing but a display of complete uselessness!

If the bankers' bank insists on it's january 31st policy, the net outcome would be the very opposite of their hope; purchase of the same item with old notes would become higher for as long as the new notes will be in short supply.

It will be hard for BAT to do vote buying with this CBN policy…

Remember vote buying doesn’t start and end in bourdillon alone … these monies needs to get distributed to various wards nationwide…(36 states)

And this cannot be done in a short period of time… it takes months

For example …If they transfer 5 million naira to me to share to voters in my local govt a day before election, how can I withdraw the money given this CBN policy.

Is like CBN don't serious at all.

as of Friday, the banks had not been able to comply with the directive as they complained of inadequate supply of the new notes, prompting them to load their ATMs with the old notes.

Many of you with nothing upstairs will just come and type nonsense on nairaland. In which way is this clueless? The money is not circulating while the rich already have it, but putting it in the ATM gives everyone equal right to have it provided the person goes to the ATM. Also it will reduce the chances of those who have planned to buy votes because their is certain amount one cannot withdraw from the ATM.
