Peter Obi that gave fraudulent irrevocable contracts to discos and gencos under Jonathan government! Peter Obi that did not know how to generate revenue as governor!!! Peter Obi that did not know how to establish institutions and develop human capital!!! Mtcheww!!!

You can't stand firm because you're deficit of valid points to back up your claims.Obi didn't know how to establish institutions yet he grew Anambra's economy and left good fund in its coffer, your calamitous Buhari who Tinubu claimed to be capable of changing the face of economy is about leaving a whooping debt of N77trn what a good way to fight corruption!

Would he stick his ideas in Buhari's mouth?. Has he not been proffering possible solutions to economic challenges at his annual colloquium, what more could he do?, hijack the govt from Buhari?.. When GEJ refused to listen to OBJ, what did OBJ do?. When Obi refused to listen to Ojukwu to conduct LG election, what did Ojukwu do?. What can you do to someone with an executive power that doesn't listen to you?. Receive sense.

Well said!

No.

You people forget one thing: on the ballot papers next month we will have party logos and not individual's names or pictures. Tinubu, Kwankwaso, Obi, Atiku, Sowore etc. will not have their names on the ballot. Nigerians are literally voting parties with their thumbprints.

After tirelessly selling a Buhari presidency to Nigerians in 2015, Bola Tinubu wants to dissociate himself from the abject failure that this APC administration has become. It doesn't work that way. Tinubu and Buhari are forever joined at the hip.

The only thing left now is to see (next month) if Nigerians have truly suffered enough and are finally ready to try something different.

If this your postulation is true, then you shouldn't be voting for Obi, Atiku or Kwankwanso in the election next month. This is because all the candidates mentioned above are presently in PDP or were in PDP less than a year ago and during the last election. You will agree that PDP has played a significant part in the state where the country is today, reinforced by APC. Perhaps if Obi wasn't on the ballot with LP and had become a VP to Atiku for the 2nd time, many people rooting for Obi right now would have voted for PDP. More like speaking from both sides of the mouth.

In that light, if you're really sincere with your postulation i.e. party performance comes first before candidate, you should be campaigning for candidates without any baggage like Christopher Imumolen, Dumebi Kachikwu, Adewole Adebayo, Omoyele Sowore, etc. You should choose to vote for one of these people, and not the top 3 or 4 contenders.

Like the Oyibo man will say, what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.

I rest my case!

Have a nice weekend!

Fair point. We are in agreement particularly on the comment in bold font.

Ok...

You'll have to take this up with the Obi supporters though.

This is very presumptuous on your part.

I have not campaigned for anyone. I have not even hinted at my choice of any of the candidates. You have no idea what my preferences are. You simply don't know.

All I did in my post was point out the futility of Tinubu supporters trying to pretend the last 8 years didn't happen. He is the 'national leader' grin of the ruling party for goodness sake. If he was proud of the APC's performance, there wouldn't be this deluge of Tinubu supporters referencing his (debatable) performance as governor - a job he first held nearly a quarter of a century ago. If the APC had lived up to its promises we wouldn't have to hear tall tales about what happened or didn't happen in 1999 - we would be talking of more recent achievements under Bola Tinubu's current party.

Have a great weekend!

Lagos did not just start existing 24 years ago, go and wise up sir. Most companies are even relocating their headquarters to Abuja, drive round V/I and Lekki and see empty of office spaces. I dont even mention, Ikeja, Surulere and Yabo / Sabo. Due to high and multiple taxes and agberoism grin grin grin

Abuja can only remain 2nd behind Lagos economical wise. Populaion of Abuja ahs been stuck on 6 million for over 14 years, while Lagos is on increase year in year out despite the small land mass hence the traffic here and there.
Another factor, after retirement, many do not stay back in Abuja, instead, they relocate back to Lagos or other states. My late dad after retirement with United Nation, could not stay beyond 5-7 years, and he relocated back to Lagos as well is home town.

In your widest dream, I will take you back to the 90s when Abuja was created, the original idea was to relocate all the headquarters of multinational companies to Abuja. Most relocated at first, but then, they could not stay, what they did was maintain their headquarters in Lagos for sake of ease in doing business. Another pointer is, Lagos is a more viable market with ease of doing business than Abuja, You can easily find jibs in lagos than Abuja, unless you are transferred to Abuja.
The cost of living
Abuja is better developed but Lagos is more affordable to live. You can comfortably live in Lagos with little compared to the luxury lifestyle in Abuja. Read more: https://www.legit.ng/375813-lagos-vs-abuja-which-one-is-better-for-living.html

Money making
Lagos is a better place for starting your own business. Lagosians are always busy trying to earn more money. They are taught to be ‘street-wise’ unlike the rich kids of Abuja. There are many celebrities and millionaires who came from slums in Lagos today.

Lagos is full of activities. You can’t stop exploring its posh hotels, restaurants, parks, shrines, beaches and other places. Lagos became the face of tourism in Nigeria.

It is easier to get a job in Lagos. There is a lot of international companies, small businesses, and local investments. One can easily find some employment opportunities.

Lagos has a rich history of economic growth and transformation. Although it covers only 0.4th of Nigeria’s territorial land mass, making it the smallest state in the country, it accounts for over 60% of industrial and commercial activities in the nation.

Lagos – N753.46 billion
Lagos State, a major metropolitan city and the economic hub of the country generated a sum of N753.46 billion as internally generated revenue in 2021, accounting for 39.7% of the total inflows recorded by the 36 states and the FCT.
Lagos State also increased its IGR by 14.2% from N659.99 billion recorded in 2020. The disaggregated report shows that N405.1 billion was generated through taxes. While N348.4 billion were from other sources.
Abuja – N131.9 billion
The federal capital territory was a distant second on the list with a total IGR of N131.9 billion, all of which were generated through taxes. Abuja accounted for 7% of the total states’ IGR in the period under review.
Compared to the previous year, Abuja’s IGR increased by 43.3% from N92.1 billion in 2020 and N74.6 billion in 2019.
Rivers – N123.3 billion
Rivers State generated a sum of N123.3 billion as IGR in 2021 accounting for 6.5% of the total internal revenue generated by the state. A sum of N115.7 billion was generated from tax revenue while N7.61 billion was through other sources.
Rivers State only managed to increase its IGR by 5.3% from N117.2 billion recorded in 2020 to N123.3 billion.

All sane youth and all decent Nigerian that want a working country and all Christian votes from north and south..

Igbos v the second largest spread everywhere in the country.

Factor in the sufferyof Nigerians who detest Apc with their suffering..

Factor in the fear n brutality of Muslim Muslim ticket and what fulani herdsmen v caused other tribes for land grabbing n bandits attacks n insecurity.

Lol. If Tinubu is a "clown", and I am sure leaders the world over will differ with your garbage utterance about Asiwaju, then can you point us in the direction of 'serious' political leaders in Nigeria?

A "clown" who single-handedly created and developed ACN to become the official Nigerian opposition Party to the powerful and well-entrenched PDP, by 2013, in a few years?

The same "clown" who proposed and worked for a merger that took APC all the way to Aso Rock despite PDP boasting it would be in power for 50 years?

Just show anything close to that in the CV of Atiku or Obi and I will agree with you Tinubu is the biggest clown in the world.

Yet the reality is that you are the clown even if you do not realize that.

For a mouth piece, I gotta admit you are worth every dime they are paying you.
