Yes, it was an Ibo man that Babangida used to annul the victory of Abiola.

The south east people did not vote Abiola and they were happy with the annulment. So, the rivalry and hatred between the south west and south east did not start today. However, let me commend the efforts of Chief Ezeife, Gov of Anambra State then under SDP. Abiola won in his state and he was part of the struggle.
