Nice development.

I hope the 18 months will not turn 4 years due to embezzlement of funds or change of government.

Also, a good management culture should be put in place to maintain the aircrafts once produced.

At the rate we're going, Nigeria will be Africa's top manufacturing powerhouse in the next few years.

Kudos to the FG for showing vision with this entry into aircraft production.

This country needs visionary leaders that can think big things going forward.

They approved funds.

Money not even released yet.

By the time they all take their share, we will know if Nigeria will be Africa's top manufacturing powerhouse again, like it used to be.

โ€œSo this airplane is fully aerobatic, goes into aerobatics; and I think the Nigerian Air Force and the Air Forces around the sub-region will be interested and excited by this development, we are taking the lead in civil aviation.''

โ€œIt is our intention to manufacture them here, and sell them out to where weโ€™re interested around the world.''

โ€œSo this will happen here in Nigeria and we will fly them within the remaining four months that we have as a government.''

To say Hadi Sirika is a functional illiterate is not an understatement. What does he mean by the "airplane is fully aerobatic, goes into aerobatics"? This project is for 18 months, this government will be gone by May 2023 (a mere 5 months)... so how does Sirika plan to finish the project and fly the planes "within the remaining 4 months that we have as a government"?

You can't be a manufacturing power house if you can't fix power situation, access raw materials, have a booming steel industry.

All these are not in place. This news is just propaganda like ogoni clean up. You can't learn to fly by crawling.

Use your brain. Did you not read the article?

They ARE starting with local assembly of aircraft, which is the right and proper place to start.

You are the one not using his brain cos you ended up saying assembling and not manufacturing

We shouldn't build airplanes because we are not producing aviation fuel even though we have planes flying all over the country with aviation fuel in them..

Why is it always hard for you and your mentally backward anti-Nigerian kind to make sense?

Please leave aerobatics alone and focus on flying properly. The military are poorly trained for any sort aerial stunts!

The problem with many of you is that you try to present your pessimism and inferiority complex as 'common sense'.

Nigeria produces 650,000 tonnes of steel per annum, which is more than the output of Israel, Singapore, Denmark, Croatia, Morocco, Bulgaria, and many other countries.

https://wisevoter.com/country-rankings/steel-production-by-country/

Bulgaria manufactures aircraft, but produces just over 500,000 tonnes of steel per annum.

Denmark and Israel also build aircraft, and Nigeria produces more steel than them.

Pakistan and India have not ''fixed their power situation''. Daily power cuts are the reality in both countries.

But they both manufacture aircraft, and even spacecraft, while still trying to sort out their developmental issues like power.

But Nigeria, according to you empty heads, should not and cannot do anything UNTIL she has provided 24/7 light to everyone, fed everyone to their hearts' content, and until she has a ''booming steel industry'', and all these other excuses to cover what is really your RACIAL INFERIORITY COMPLEX in which you feel that only ''white people'' are qualified to be innovative and technologically proficient.

THAT is your real mental problem to deal with.

You all need major national re-orientation to rid you of your racial inferiority complex.

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology IS in Zaria, Kaduna State.

That is where we have the expertise available to build aircraft.

Where should we build the aircraft?

In your village?

So you too can be deceived like this . Where is the Nigeria air fleet they collected money for and did logo for?

A country that because of tribalism , nepotism and sentiment refuses to help her local auto manufacturers by patronizing them wants to build aircrafts.

Don't be surprised they just want to assemble them here . How ever, they should just make sure they are the first to use it and put assembled in Nigeria.

At the twilight of their tenure is when they allocated money to start production of an aircraft? You will cry if you see the only thing our intelligent military researchers are limited to manufacturing. God will judge them speedily.

Is Dangote refinery govt owned? Should a country of 200 million people depend on a private refinery for her petroleum products? Is it right? Has the govt finished solving health care, education and hunger problems in the Country? As simple as those, they've been unable to fix it but you expect them to manufacture air crafts. Abeg carry your mumu far from here abeg.
