The way these criminal governors are fighting against naira redesign leaving fuel scarcity that is approaching 2 months now is the more reason I support naira redesign. This is definitely affecting these criminals
Jflex07:
This naira decision really touch these useless Governors.

These two clowns have been brainwashed beyond redemption. How does it really affect them? They're still getting every need of theirs free of charge! And this policy doesn't stop them from looting, diversion and mismanagement of funds.
You two are the real definition of suffering and smiling

Between Jan 31st and Feb 10th no bank in the country performed currency swap. If take 200k old notes to the bank for swapping, the bank will collect the old notes, deposit it to your account and tell to go queue behind 200 people at the ATM to withdraw 20k new notes. Is this what you call currency swap?

The fact that CBN set old currency swap deadline when no bank in the country is swapping the old currency tells you that the current CBN is the most stupid in the history of this country.
which country in the world do citizens carry 200,000 worth of currency about? The average American needs only money for the wallet per day. Not stocking money at home like food.

Feb 10th is deadline is for currency swap, not naira redesign. CBN gave Nigerians time to swap the old notes in their possession to the new notes. Meanwhile the banks were not swapping the notes.
There is nothing llike currency swap.

Swap means changing something for another thing of same value.

When u deposit ur old notes, u r not ggiven exact value of what u deposited.

I dont uunderstand this swap u r talkng of

The level of ignorance on this thread is beyond bearable. Imagine folks here thinking the governors are the ones suffering it. How many politician did you see queueing up at an empty ATM spot? How many of them got naked trying to get their money?

Them complaining is because Nigerians are suffering and this senseless policy has pushed us back to an unnecessary recession. They should have allowed both old and new notes to coexist.

You're delusional to think it'll curb vote buying. Tinubu, Atiku, Obi and others already have the new notes in abundance. They don't need to sweat to get it. The masses are the ones suffering

why are u bothered about cbn crushing terrorist and vote buyers funding??

Is it the job of cbn to CRUSH vote buying and terrorists?

How should stopping terrorism and vote buying justify starting a recession?

Shut up
His point is of the governors coming out now to speak against the naira redesign only when it doesn’t favor them too

This people have never spoken against the fuel scarcity or any ill treatment against to the masses.

Who are the "mumus poor rotten beings are praising the governors"? Are you supprting the CBN governor? Does that make you a "mumu poor rotten beings"? Is what the governors said true or false?

Wow wow wow.

I believed I wrote a comment about CBN self induced recession just last week.

So the Governors just realized that artificial scarcity of cash in a cash driven economy will definitely lead to low purchasing power which will inturn lead to self induced recession.

It will also give incentive for counterfeiting of the new Naira note because when demand of money is greater than the supply, criminal element will see the opportunity to make counterfeit money.

It can only lead to recession if it continues on the long run. But one or two months of cash drought won’t lead to recession. Rather people will suffer, but on a long run, they will devise how to cope, either by embracing cashless.

The reason for this is to frustrate criminal, devilish politicians who have stuffed old cash to buy vote.

Whenever you see a Nigeria politician speaking against any evil in the society, know that it has affected them so well.
Nigerians should chill and know this policy is targeted at thieving politicians, and endure a little. After election money go plenty

Cbn work with other anti corruption agencies to fight Finical crimes which pass through the banking system such are money laundering, terrorism financing and elections vote buying.

u don't have to travel to Kenya or Burkinafaso to have sense and understand laws and criminal financing.

Why do u think cbn create bvn and other Finical policies? its tired to the role in creating sanity in all systems they are involved this includes government and electoral system/laws.

Vote buying is in the electoral law and a crime which cbn is ment to play a role.

travel wide my ass.
