AbdulMagaji: That's the only problem with him. He writes as though he's talking to people at his level. I can guarantee you not many would understand what he just said. I even got lost along the way cause it's full of rhetorics that only people close to him would understand. But then, you probably haven't heard of Christopher Okigbo. He was among his peers but he died during the British-Nigerian VS Biafra civil war. He was such a crazy "big words" author that even Soyinka would consider Okigbo as being over the edge. And he was just in his thirties then! They'll probably have given Okigbo a Nobel laureate if he didn't die early. He and Soyinka went to study English but got lost with it, to the point that in 1962, they (together with Chinua Achebe) opposed African languages as the language of literature. And that's how we ended up here today where language is unable to do it's basic function of communication. By the way, if you are interested in the 1962 event I talked about, go to www.africason.com and read the article that says "how Britain and the CIA fooled Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe to destroy African languages in literature" 4 Likes |

Sapiosexuality:Here you guys go again. Always blaming others instead of addressing what was raised.. Progressively you guys have alienated those who ought to be part of this movement. So many have backed out because of insults to anyone who try to interrogate their position. I listened to Professor Wole Soyinka on Arise tv and he was very bitter about this and said he'd told Obi himself the damage his followers may cause him, seems this is happening too soon. 2 Likes |

Creeper: Do you know that the Igbos would have been ahead of everyone if only they followed the True Christian Teaching of Loving your Neighbours Yet they are supposed to be a Christian People but the Hate , used against the Osu Caste is still giving some people a Fake Superiority Complex that keeps tripping them up What good has Ipob done them for Gods Sake It was created out of Hate And they pounce on the Wise ones among them like a bunch of Starving Lions Igbos are not unreasonable, it is ipob that has badly infiltrated the Obidients 2 Likes |

Christistruth03: Christianity is a foreign concept and you can’t be ahead of anyone by using a foreign concept. You have to evolve from within first (something Igbos didn’t do) and then, the foreign concept would become useful. What separates Yorubas is the fact that Yorubas went through that evolution and were able to build 2 empires (Old Ife doesn’t get talked about that much but there was an Ife empire that used glass beads as currency before its decline into Ife kingdom and subsequently birthing Oyo empire) and about 10 kingdoms. That’s the inherent knowledge/consciousness you’ll need when things aren’t going you way. Even amongst Igbos, there’s a reason why Anambra Igbos dominate the rest and you should know why. 2 Likes |

Like 2015 like now. Who invented the word Shepopotamus? The same role you played in 2015. https://www.google.com/amp/s/pmnewsnigeria.com/2019/04/19/flashback-soyinka-at-84-speaks-on-the-1965-radio-station-tape-substitution-drama/%3famp=1 Soyinka seized a radio with a 'gun' in 1965. None of the Obidients have touched. They only talk on Social media. Baba write all you can, your pen is no longer innocent. |

Jakpon:Good One my brother. You dont blame the Obedient movement. They are not educated to know that Wole Soyinka was arrested for the Biafran cause and their own sons, Nnamdi Azikiwe and Ojukwu ran away and even wine and dine with the same Nigeria government that oppressed their people during the war. Its not their fault bro. No wonder many of their men have abandoned the classrooms to go into business. How can such group of people who are not educated be able to understand politics and how its been player? Their attitude is toxic and they are a very hostile people just to say the least. 3 Likes |
