Truth is Charles does not exemplify The Monarchy like his mother did. Williams appears to be good to go though. He is not controversial like his father was. Prince William is stable and has kept his marriage and family in good standing in the public eye. If you ask me, Charles is not deserving of the throne he did so little to keep in good standing. He should have passed and put forward Prince William instead for the throne. The issue, for now, is beyond Republicanism. Public Perception is key in the acceptance of The Monarchy. Charles did a lot of damage to that. Harry has also not helped matters. They failed to come to the realisation that by virtue of the circumstances of their birth there is a price to pay for the sustenance of The Monarchy. The departed Queen and her husband were good examples they chose not to follow. Quite saddening!
