Finally, the jungle quickly matured in Niger simply because the junta miscalculated, they overestimated their power, their strength and capacity to swallow fish bone without choking.

You cannot go against Nigeria or openly disrespect Nigeria and get away with it, not in Afrin and definitely not in West Africa.
It didn't take much for Nigeria to slap the junta with crippling sanctions, a border blockade, and a no-fly zone.

Niger depends on big brother Nigeria for economic relevance and we always help and stand by them, but the foolish junta threw all that away when in fact they need supplies that they can no longer get, they need money and aid that they can no longer get, they need food and fuel to run the country and even fight on the battlefield. Imagine landlocked and closed in from all sides, land and in the air with nothing going in, no fuel, no food, no support, nothing.

They are feeling isolated, even by the countries they thought were on their side are not sticking their neck out, including Russia because they all know very well that this is Nigerian's show and play and there's nothing in it for them to anger and go against powerful Nigeria over Niger.

The first sign of surrender was yesterday when they released the president, they let him go unsolicited, and they walk him out with no guns or any physical threat, which was letting the world know that it was all over.

Obviously, the junta saw the writing on the wall and quickly humbled themselves.

A leader must always show strength and always lead and when you leave the war option on the table, they know you are serious.

The next step is the Nigerian peace delegation flying to Abuja to mend fences and relationship with Nigeria.

Nigeria won without firing a bullet.

You mean they should have conducted an election overnight and install a civilian president?

You no get sense?

It's a process with planning and consultation, the most important thing at the moment is reducing tension, avoid war and repearing damaged relationships.

I know where you and your kind stand, once again, you people always bet on the wrong horse, you always pick the wrong side and you always bet against Nigeria and end up losing and You've been losing since 1960.

Niger coup: Military junta names new Prime Minister grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Published

on August 8, 2023

The Niger Republic military junta has appointed the country’s former Minister of Economy, Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, as the new prime minister.

This comes barely two weeks after the military ousted the democratically elected president, Mohamed Bazoum, and took over power in Niger.

The coup plotter announced this on television on Monday night.

Nigerien media reports that Lamine Zeine was an ex-Minister of Economy and Finance in the cabinet of former President Mamadou Tandja, who was ousted in 2010, and currently works as an economist for the African Development Bank in Chad.

An ultimatum from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to the coup plotters to reinstate Bazoum expired over the weekend.

DAILY POST reports that ECOWAS, a regional political and economic union of 15 countries located in West Africa, has threatened to restore democracy in Niger by force.

You’re so misinformed. A President that was forced to sign his resignation and you should know that there’s no President in Niger again and there’s nothing much to fight them about .

When you are landlocked, you are at the mercy of your enemy especially when you are crippled with sanctions, border closure, and no-fly zone, it means you cannot fight because you don't have food, you don't have fuel, and weapons to fight with.

I hope the landlocked folks in Nigeria are learning and paying attention to this sad reality..

....but we know you are hard learners.

Mumu, that's how they roll in French speaking countries where they have coups. The foolishness is thinking that others must copy your cesspit style.
That your whole world revolves around molete ibadan inside your cesspit does not mean you should not read and educate yourself about how others manage themselves.

Funny enough we achieved our goal with the ultimatum, the threat of force is always a big stick, now, they are complying.

Again, laymen can not see beyond black and white...

Btw, the threat of force by Nigeria is still active incase they keep misbehaving.

In response to the coup, the summit announced immediate sanctions on Niger, including the closure of land and air borders between ECOWAS countries and Niger, establishing a no-fly zone on all commercial flights to and from Niger, and suspending all commercial and financial transactions between ECOWAS Member States and Niger.

Furthermore, assets of the Republic of Niger in ECOWAS Central Bank, Niger state enterprises, and parastatals in commercial banks will be frozen.

Niger will also be suspended from all financial assistance and transactions with financial institutions within ECOWAS.

Additionally, travel bans and asset freezes were imposed on military officials involved in the coup attempt, as well as their family members and civilians who accept to participate in any institution or government established by these military officials
.

Who no go back down?

You cannot survive crippling sanctions especially when you are landlocked and surrounded by the countries enforcing the sanctions.

President Tinubu is a super tactician.
