Charlie is a ladies' man and a womanizer who's convinced that relationships are dead even though his sister, a therapist, tries to tell him otherwise. Charlie remained committed to a life of no emotional commitment.

being a player look so much better than his friends’ relationships, with their ups and down. it compares and contrasts his friend’s marriage and relationship he desires only the bachelors life. Charlie insists he's happy the way he is, that not everybody wants to be married. So, he continues to avoid settling down to be with every woman he can with no strings.

His best friends bet him that if he sticks to one woman for one month, he's bound to fall in love. Charlie takes the bet because he believes that he's immune to love… until he crosses paths with the beautiful and mysterious Eva.

Eva has only been in long-term relationships, but says she wants to try something fun and no-strings. Turning on his irresistible charm, Charlie coaxes Eva into a casual affair, supposedly hot sex not only at his house, but in restaurant bathrooms, and it's all good.

Charlie starts to develop feelings for her, he is questioning whether he may actually want more than just a one-night stand. but soon finds out that Eva has turned the tables on him when she revealed that she's getting married to her fiancé in few days. But Charlie has already fell for her.

As things start to go south for Charlie, he basically becomes an alcoholic over the course of a "long weekend." He lies in bed, surrounded by empty bottles. He slumps on the boardwalk, sipping from a flask. His friends are concerned, but he pushes everyone away. The lovely dead-eyed Eva has helped him see that maybe he can have more from life. But at the end, he learns the lesson of what it feels like to use and dump someone.
