PRESS RELEASE

HON. PAUL NNAMCHI REJECTS TRIBUNAL JUDGMENT THAT NULLIFIED HIS ELECTION, HEADS TO APPEAL COURT.

Following the nullification of his election to represent the people of Enugu East/Isi-Uzo Federal constituency at the National Assembly by the three-man member of the National Assembly Election Tribunal at its sitting in Enugu today September 8, 2023, Professor Paul Nnamchi has rejected the verdict, saying it does not conform with the law and expectation of his teaming supporters.

This is contained in a Press Release by his Media Adviser, Sam Nwanze.
According to him "I am not satisfied with the judgment of the tribunal which to me is not in accordance with the provisions of the law and expectation of my teaming supporters. Consequently, I have instructed my lawyers to proceed to appeal the matter at the Appeal Court which has the final say on the case and I am confidence we will get justice at the Appeal Court. My confidence in the judiciary is not shaken by this judgment. I am hopeful justice will be served at the next level and the current verdict will be overturned at the appellate court.
I want to use this opportunity and appeal to my teaming supporters to remain calm as we are hopeful to reclaim the mandate at the Appeal Court.
I also use this opportunity to thank and appreciate all my supporters who have called to show solidarity and those who may not reach me. I can assure you all of my resolve to defend the mandate freely given to me through your votes by fighting to the end.
It is not yet over.
God bless all of you.

Signed
Sam Nwanze

All these judgements of the tribunal that determine pre election matter of nomination will be set aside by the Court of Appeal. PDP's case against Shettima and recently Obi's case have already determined that the only disqualifying thing you can bring in election petition is the one fixed by the constitution. Party A cannot be asking the tribunal to determine whether candidate of party B was properly nominated for being nor not being s member of a political party that nominated him.

The men of Issachar were wisemen because they understood the times and seasons. Everyone has their time and season. Agbero, INEC, judges, now lawyers, and one day the Nigerian people! Whether the good Prof wins or loses again, lawyer will still collect appearance fee. Matured statement all the same, though I hope he’s feeling as confident as he sounds. The rest of the country seems to have lost confidence in the system. And a people who think they’re living under an 'anything goes system' are one step away from anarchy because "in a lawless society it is illegal to be law abiding." - Gani Fawehinmi

Quit residing in one rural beer parlour and be spewing nonsense cos you have 2mb data. w Go out and get updated...Obidients are the future, if Tinubu performs well he will win them over, after all they are revolutionary Nigerians and youths that seeks better governance.......hook line and sinker.

He should exhaust all avenues toward reclaiming his supposed mandate. He must also be truthful to himself judging by the fact that some people are benefiting from this attempt.

He should be careful not to lose position and money as well. It's important.

By my counting at least four APC members of the National Assembly have now been sacked in favour of either PDP or LP, some PDP and LP also have been sacked. A couple of rerun were ordered also. Is this not a confirmation that our judiciary is doing its best? Lots of people do not understand most of the technicalities that goes with these legal decisions. A very good case can be spoiled by technicalities if not properly presented, would you blame the judge(s) for that? Obi did not even prove any case of irregularity talk less of PROVING BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT

I thought the constitution gives losers of elections the right to ventilate their electoral lost at the tribunal? If Jonathan refused to toiled that line of appealing his lost at the polls, does that mean others should jettisoned their right just because Jonathan do that? Please it is not by force to comment sometimes, even if you suspend your IQ because of politicians, others may not.
Hence, it is within the constitutional right of anyone or party that is aggrieved to vent their lost at the tribunal. Common sense!

Meanwhile, the last time I checked, the people you alleged want to bring down INEC, Judiciary and Nigeria had never taken arms against any institution for the reason that the lost election, not even remotely beat any agent of government that administered the elections but it is on record how supporters of APC beat up INEC adhoc staff and other supporters of political parties, maimed and injured them.
I will advise you to fear God, even though if you don't fear human being.
