Date of birth error is usually an intentional error.

Some people increase their date of birth before 18years to acquire IDs like voters card or BVN, and others knowingly claim a false date of birth on some certificates for reasons best known to them.

It is important one correct their date of birth as soon as possible.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s lawyer, Wole Afolabi, has said that a mixup at Chicago State University is the reason President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate indicates “F” meant for a female.

Afolabi stated this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.

I definitely know most Nigerians are hypocrites. I could remember when I was a customer service in one of the commercial banks in Nigeria, you'll see customers bringing sworn affidavit for change of DOB in order to gain employment in N-Power. When I probe further, they own up that when you're above specific age, N-Power will not take you hence reason why they had to reduce their age. I turned down most of these request in line with directive from our compliance unit. Most Nigerians are guilty of DOB change, employment racketeering, cheating in business dealings, inflating price of products and contract but are quick to crucify another person as long as they hate such person. Only small percentage of Nigerians are saints if people are scrutinized for all their records in private and public institutions.

Everyone makes mistakes, that's true. But since there are channels to make corrections, why didn't Tinubu make those corrections over the years? People go to court to swear affidavits courts to effect necessary changes to their documents every now abd then, so why didn't your Tinubu clear those errors before time before submitting them to Inec. How could he have been so careless to have left all those errors for over four decades?
David Lyon despite winning at the polls lost his seat because of the carelessness of his deputy in respect to discrepancies in his name. Why didn't the court forgive him since he could have still gone to make necessary corrections with a sworn affidavit?
It is on record that Tinubu submitted his credentials to INEC on oath, so whatever mistakes committed should be enough to nail him.
