This is a political move, only a discerning mind can see it. You think the northern elites are foolish?

When Tinubu move key sectors he can move to Lagos, he'll begin to talk of restructuring. If there's restructuring with resource control,
where do you think the funds from CBN and FAAN would go? Lagos!

We are talking of banking activities here..Counter my post intelligently.

These people are crying wolf because they feel shortchanged now. All the disastrous decisions Buhari made we did not hear their opposition and threats.

CBN must be relocated to Lagos, reasons given were plausible. In fact all government and multinational corporations doing business in Nigeria should be domiciled at their places of operations.

This is why you have miners doing operations somewhere else but storing dynamites elsewhere.

Let oil companies go back to the Niger-Delta!

FAAN has been moved to Lagos already.
And don't forget that after Tinubu's tenure, the power returns to the north.

Just reminding you Sha...

You are seeing it as a political move ryt..Look at it, does it make sense to you sending Cbn staffs to Lagos for banking supervision for 2 months and lodge them in hotel and still pay them out of office allowance?Mind you, it's only banking supervision department they are moving to Lagos not the whole cbn.Dont forget that the banks they are supervising all have their head offices in Lagos

Is it not just to move organizations about??! Their time is coming...!

You all should keep playing ping-pong with the nation while terrorists take over. cool

Was there any consequence when it was moved in 1993 by a selfish Nothern juntaundecided? Abuja is not an economic hub why should the CBN head office be in Abuja in the first place
Every serious country has its reserve/central bank in its economic hub.
Japan Reserve Bank => Tokyo
UK Reserve Bank => London
USA => Washinton DC
China Reserve Bank => Beijing
Enough of illogical decisions and the North feeling of being the sole owner of Nigeria undecided

You think Tinubu's govt is remotely concerned with cutting cost?

What is the amount that would be saved? Upto N3 billion used for verification of social register for the poor?

You guys can't use that same Lagos-Ibadan expressway gaslighting anymore

The capital of the United States is located as Washington, DC, and the Federal Reserve is located in New York and a few other states.

What was the reason for moving the CBN to Abuja in the first place?

With this, tinubu may have set the ball rolling for the collapse of Lagos. Other chain of businesses in the financial and other sectors will naturally follow suit.

Lol. The way you people reason astounds me. If the cbn says move all your head offices to Abuja, the only thing that will happen is that the banks will start getting ceremonial head offices. The real work will still be done in Lagos because business follows population.

Its not possible in any case as no law empowers the CBN to do so.

I learnt that CBN has explained that they're only relocating some staff to Lagos and some other States to decongest Head Office and make those who actually work more in Lagos stay there. That makes economic sense to me.

I don't believe that the Head Office can be moved the way it's being presented to confuse us.
Don't mind all those northern mad ppl. Everything is about Tribalism. The last minister of aviation moved the head quarters to North did you hear any noise? Buhari the king of the north appointed northerners Everywhere did you hear any noise from them? A senator cannot tell the CBN our to operate by blackmailing with Tribalism.

It's not the head office, some people are just being mischievous and unreasonable.

I know of a Dept called Banking Supervision. Most of its duties are in Lagos in fact, 95% of the schedule of duty. Now, the Staff would be in Lagos for like 2 months in the hotel at CBN expense.

If I were Tinubu, I'll relocate the Dept and let whatever that would happen to happen.

There is nothing bigoted about the CBN decision. The only bigoted is the Buhari administration and bunch of hypocrites that cannot take what they have been serving others. They see everything as a threat even though it is a plausible decision.

You don't need to reply that fool again, nothing u can tell him that he would agree, they are the type who always see things in a pessimistic way.

The foolish u reply and Ndume himself, can they be running their own company like that?

Since they don't see govt business as their own business, no matter how they waste money it's non of their business.

Collapse of Lagos or what do you say?
Did North trust you? Forgot about trust in Nigeria politics and political system. They don't have choice, that's why Tinubu won primary. Others choices as Northerner will be easy winning for PDP.
Let come to reverse it and another Southerner will re-reverse, and let the reverse continue till Nigeria is separated.

How dare you call Bulabalu a Nationalist? Someone that is even as Tribal if not tribal than Buhari?

Someone who's thugs on Election day will go beating up people of other ethnic group telling them not to come out and vote.

And his Main Guy saying if you vote for anybody else,he will throw you into the lagoon

Show me where else such happens in Nigeria

He has showed his nepotism and shown how nepotistic he is.

Anyways,He knows where to pause his nepotism sha.

When Fulani terrorists kill his people, like the coward he is. He goes to hide his face

He can't face the people that kill his people.

A bloody coward

Tueh!
Speak to yourself. Does not represent popular opinion

I am not a fan of Tinubu. But he is trying by correcting the wrongs perpetrated by Buhari and his nepotistic crew.

He may not be a saint. But I support what he is doing by demystifying Fulani hegemony and expansionism in Nigerian politics.

If at all anything has to be relocated, it should be the headquarters of oil companies to the region where they are drilling oil.

Ali Ndume should calm down.

Apart from the explanation CBN gave, most banks HQ's are in Lagos. Infact most banking activities are carried out in Lagos.

If Buhari did it, it will not results to anything.

The Hausa and Fulani think that they own Nigeria. Nigeria Defence Academy (Army, Air force and Navy, university) is situated in the Northern Nigeria (Kaduna). Gen Brutai established this time Nigeria Army university in Biu, Borno state, no eyebrows were raised. Another general again from the air force, Vice marshall A Sadeeq established Nigeria Air force university in Bauchi, which is the same northern Nigeria and nobody complained. The North now has 3 military universities and most military establishments are situated in the North and there's no complaint from any quarter. It is just the CBN department of banking supervision that is been moved to Lagos. All the bank head offices are situated in Lagos and if the CBN dept of bank supervision is in Lagos, it will reduce costs and makes it easier to supervise these banks. Haba! This is BAT and not GEJ.
