If i print from the date you said, there would be no reasonable transaction showed. i paid 2,026,800 on 24/06/2014, 72,000 on 26/06/2014, 1,000 and 1,500 was paid on 27/08/2014. should i still use the one i printed out? i'm really eager to know the right thing, cos i have been refused once. Thanks

They're not looking at transactions.
Your statement will read previous balance and closing balance and that is all they need

From what I learnt here. Ur statement must not stay more than one month prior to ur visa application. So U might waner review ur SOA again n print e.g 30/07/2014 to 28/08/2014 or 1/08/2014 to 31/08/2014

You can pay for your tuition fee via payment cards in most schools if not all.

Call your school and ask

It's true they don't look at transactions but the period of statement. Unfortunately, someone has been refused before because the ECO who reviewed this person didn't look at the period but the transaction.

My point is: never give them a reason to misinterpret anything.

Which date are you making your application?

Hello Everyone, I have two questions:

1. I'm expecting my CAS on monday. So I want to know the documents i'll eventually take with my printed application to ukba. Pls help me point out which is missing:

* TB certificate
* my Waec + university first year transcripts
* my passport
* my bank statement

2. Please how does the appointment booking work? I see people say the booked this day and that day. Lets say I pay for my application on monday, is that the same day i'll book an appointment? Is the appointment for submission (biometrics) or for interview or for both.

Please a prompt reply will be highly appreciated.

PS: my school begins on September 14

Thanks

1) All documents you listed, Appendix 8, and any other that may be a requirement on your CAS.
2)Once you submit your application, you'll get a link to book an appointment for document submission/interview (all on same day). If you pay on Monday, you cannot get appointment for Monday. It will be from Tuesday onwards depending on availability.

Ask your school for your latest resumption date and let this reflect on your CAS. You should be able to have at least 15 working days from your appointment date till resumption (latest start date).

Please what is appendix 8?

So are you saying I should get across to my school (via phone or email) and request for an extension to my start date before the put it on the CAS?

Do you also imply that a start date of 14th September is not feasible for me and could result in denial? Thanks

App 8: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/261462/vaf9-app81.pdf

Yes, contact them first thing on Monday and let them include the details of your latest start date on your CAS.

Yes, I implied that it is risky to apply using 14th as start date. The truth is you can't get appointment date on Monday, so assuming you get on Wednesday (3rd Sept), you'll have only 7 working days before school resumes. It is highly risky without extension for your resumption date.

Ganiyat95: Hello everybody, i want to apply for a tier4 uk visa application and these are the list of documents i have 4.personal bank statement(showing funds available from 20/06/2014 to 29/08/2014)

It's adviced you print just 28days but it doesn't matter how much longer than 28days the statement is for, as long as it covers the 28 day period and your balance never fell below the amount required. Back when I made my Tier 4 application, I printed 6 months statement and I wasnt refused.
Ganiyat95: If i print from the date you said, there would be no reasonable transaction showed. i paid 2,026,800 on 24/06/2014, 72,000 on 26/06/2014, 1,000 and 1,500 was paid on 27/08/2014. should i still use the one i printed out? i'm really eager to know the right thing, cos i have been refused once. What you need to do is check the minimum amount your account recorded through the last 28 days before your closing balance. You won't be penalised for printing more than 28 days. What you must ensure is that the minimum your account recorded within those last consecutive 28 days before closing balance would be enough/above the required funds you have to show (for any tuition fees left+maintenance funds when converted using Oanda.com on the 'date of your application') and ensure that the date of the closing balance is not up to 31 days old when u make your visa application.
The Visa officials would use the rates on the 'date of application' and apply it back through the last 28 days of your statement to ascertain whether your available funds meet the requirement. Its a tricky one, so people who might be affected by significant changes in exchange rates are usually advised to print the statement and do the Oanda conversion on the same proposed 'day of the application' to see if the exchange rates match up in their favour before applying. However, to avoid this skepticism, make sure u have more than enough funds held through the 28days to cover any exchange rate flunctuations.

I just looked at that Appendix 8 pdf file. Isn't it the same as the onle on the ukba (visa4uk) website that i'm required to fill online and print?

Your VAF9 is your main application and it's different from App8. Look at the bottom of the APP8 document and see what's written there. However, I think at some point, some VACs didn't require it but you should fill it and go with it.

Teleperformance is one the most useless services for visa applications.
I submitted an application since the 6th of August and waited the 15 working days. Yet no visa/passport. Their tracking website is awful and should be shut down.
I went over to their office on Friday and tried to find out why it's taking this long of course they had story to tell. How it's not their fault and it's Sheffield and they have been sending reminders to Sheffield office.
Apparently some Nigerians had come that morning to scatter the place.
The only good news I could get from them was that they had not gotten any packages as at Wednesday Thursday and Friday so they are expecting a lot on Monday but the service is still terrible.
Although I have contacted Sheffield I always get the same automated message that my application has not been assessed by an ECO.
I Don tire.. All my peers that used vfs got theirs without a flinch.
I hope my story helps a lot of people, it's better to learn than to fall into this situation and start regretting.
Patience is key with prayers hopefully they answer me this week as my school resumes on the 9th of Sept
A quick question though has anybody received any news from teleperformance for those that applied from July 28 to August 9 so I know I am not alone.
P.s if you have a teleperformance interview change it sharp sharp to Ikeja or abuja.. seems our own embassy is more reliable

THAT IS TRUE.

tobee: I got a hint from a guy at Teleperformance last week Wednesday when I went for interview, that all Tier4 visa appointment will now be handled by them( Teleperformance). I don't know how far it is true. I didn't bother to confirm from any other person. So guys, thread cautiously. Not confirmed and not official
