I think it will be better to say Apple(Seun) has released "Nairaland OS 5.1" and jailbreakers (we) have to wait till there is an untethered "Nairaland OS 5.1" jailbreak.

So how long does it usually take for an untethered jailbreak to be available for iOS 5.1? I fear that I might hit the update button by mistake one of these days, it is so in my face.

I just hope that the battery issue I have been facing on 5.0.1 will be fixed for good with 5.1 otherwise the joys of rocking an iphone isn't all that.

Normally it takes 6to12yrs to get an untether jailbreak.buh wid the look of tins it will take 15yrs..hehe(just kidding just be patient podg will do smtin pwetty soon)

download ifunbox and use it to back up all ur apps and music. So even if iTunes should remove then u can just sync them back

Get a software called Copytrans manager. it's free and it is better than iTunes. All ur old stuff will remain intact. I only use iTunes whenever I need to restore only.

About the Sam, I've given up on that long ago. I now use a programmable sim for all my activation need. I would have help u with it assuming u reside in Lagos.

The free transcopy can't sync pictures. And u can't copy music or videos from the iPhone.

I recently installed Voice Brief,a text to speech app on my phone. The app can read out loud email notifications (an in app upgrade allows unlimited mailboxes and reads the full mail),weather reports, news feeds and even your recent Facebook and Twitter updates.It allows for content customization, i.e you can select the contents which you want read to you. A rather nice app to have especially while driving, kind of like Siri only you don't get to make any requests.It is off course dependent on a working internet connection but with the fake 3G network that MTN has it means Voice Brief doesn't work everywhere for me unless there's good wifi. Voice Brief is available in the App store for free.

Aloud is a cydia application that can do the same thing (expect text to speech), but read out your notification out, even if you got missed call, new SMS, facebook or twitter notification, news feeds etc WITHOUT internet connection. It activates in-built voice action of ur iPhone to do it.

Get d battery charging case for iphone 4/4S. It makes a whole lot of sense.

Add h7v . org to the list of your sources then search for iphonedelivery again. That should work.

Hope you have your 5.0.1 shsh saved sha, just in-case you mistakenly upgrade.

The battery charging case might be a neat device by itself but hardly the solution to the iPhone's battery problem. I'd be sorely disappointed if this is how I'd have to put up with this issue.

A software fix is what is needed - and in fairness to Apple that's part of what 5.1 claims to do - not some hardware that one has to lug about everywhere.

JAILBREAK THE FONE 1ST B4 u tink of having iphone delivery on ur idevice

U r on ios5.1 iphone 4s, first is that ios 5.1 on 4s has no official public released jailbreak for now be it tethered or untethered. so you just have to chill and forget about cydia/cracked tweaks for now.

Thanks for your contributions kingsilly and whiskytan. I don't know anything about this jailbreaking thingy, so i guess i'll just return the phone and buy something else like a galaxy S II or something. Thanks

You may still have to root the Galaxy S II if you want to use the phone to its max you know.
