It is ignorant to call Ojukwu a coward. He saw his people being killed and he stood up to fight for them. That in my opinion is very noble. Did he make mistakes? Yes he did. But to call him a coward is very unfair.

Ojukwu left when it was clear and unequivocal that Biafra had lost. The day after Ojukwu left, the Udi airport was captured by the Federal troops. If Ojukwu stayed, he would have been captured, humiliated, tortured, and killed. At that time, Igbos loved and admired Ojukwu so much that if he was killed, they would never have seen themselves as Nigerians. The last thing that post civil war Nigeria needed was for Ojukwu to become a Biafran martyr. If Ojukwu was killed, Igbos would have view it was an unforgivable sin by the Nigerian government.

Why should people call Ojukwu names? Simply because he is not from their tribe.

Nairaland is just filled with tribal monkeys who inhabit this visionless amalgamated and  overbloated

entity known as Nigeria.

Even Cowards can piss at the grave of a Hero.

I don't need to name you,you know yourselves.

@ACM10,

Youruba leaders fled, Only to return and become what today?, Ojukwu who ran away after throwing the whole eastern region into confusion later return and become deaf and dumb till death.

Your selfish leaders who stayed during the abacha era, what was their end if not selfish enrichment to the detriment of the lost sheeps fighting the "BIAFRA" battle.

KEEP DREAMING.
