Ogbonaikenna: Its really unfortunate this is happening. But i think they are reaping what they sowed between 1967-1970. Karma has caught up with them. The spirit of biafra is real

These people you're talking about don't even know what happened in 1967, so don't put the blame on them rather put it on yakubu Gowon and the soldiers that were directly responsible for the act.

^^^ I want to believe you dont know your history. You go read up the your history and see how these guys were used and dumped esp in Benue axis.

The middle beltans shouldnt wait for the Fg for security, they should form a vigilante group to stop the menace.

most of those settlements already have their well armed vigilante groups, so i must say i will be suprised if those attackers are able to carry out their acts without a stiff opposition.

if the igbos get into this tiv/fulani war their fate will be worse than 1960 civil war, in 1960 there were tiv riots against fulani in benue, but the same tiv joined fulani to fight igbos when the civil war started, infact igbos were killed in makurdi in 1966

kettykin: The middle belters rather than defend with the last drop of their blood the unity of Nigeria should at least use that some part of the last drop of their Blood to defend the themselves like some body said , charity begins at home. if you dont love your lives how will you love an entity because the entity has oil.

From what happening it is either the middle belters belive that with igbos in Nigeria their existence is guranteed ( that the Jihadist will not over run them some day) but all that is a mirage now because the east will not be prempted to strike again like Nzeogwu did no matter the provocations.

Going forward the Fulanis are becoming a tron in the flesh , i am predicting that one day they ill touch a raw nerve that will spell their doom, either by omission or commission they kill ijaws or Aba people.

The fulani now have a private army besides the Nigerian army, and Nigerian army can not do anything except kill un armed massob memebers .it is no longer morning in the Middle belt it is now afternoon for them ,so good afternoon Yakubu Gowon and co , who for a pot of poridge (9 years presidency) sold their Liberty for life. Am yet to find Any Benue Leader that was slaughtered by NZEOGWUS teams , yet they blindly slaugtered ibos in 1966 .

Monkey, you will want the people in North Central to vote you person in 2015. Bigots should stay off this thread.

All these biafra apologists sef, tiv and fulanis started fighting each other even before independence, communal clashes like this occur all the time either in nasarawa or taraba states. right now same clash is going on in taraba but prolly no nairalander passed through that road to come and give us half gists. whether the tivs fought for igbos or hausas, the fact that they share common borders with northerners means there will always be clashes even if the tivs were biafrans. The tiv's quest for further land acquisition and farming, the normads notorious encroachment on farmlands has got nothing to do with biafra, Btw they (normads) are now gradually moving to settle in biafra (cross river), lets see how it plays out.

YOU SHALLOW LIER! Who told you Igbos were killed in Makurdi in 1966? Many Igbos stayed with my father and conveniently put their houses in order before they left. Many of them came back and took possession of their property without going through any stressful process a few months after the civil war. Unlike you, those who cared to understand peoples and their attitude know that the Tivs are the must altruistic people in this country. You made such comments because you don't care even for the Igbos you pretended you belong to; otherwise how could you have ignored the death of hundreds of Igbos in recent times through boko haram bombs? For your information boko haram and fulani militias are one and doing different jobs towards the same goal! Dey there de yarn beside your shop.

@Bakila. Isn't strange that you cant just miss the opportunity to say shiit about Igbo, by the way how many Igbo IDs are talking nonsense here that makes going on about "some people cant make friends or cant even keep one". We all know how you and EMMKE/EMMATOK/ALHJ HAREM & CO love to spam every thread such as this posing with fake Igbo IDs only to divert peoples attention from the realities on ground all the time, so you can only fool the gulible but not everyone. KARMA OR NO KARMA the innocents will keep paying the prize until ABURI ACCORD or TOTAL SPLIT OF NIGERIA achieved, so people can be able to tell themselves the truth and accept it as well as do something positive about it,we all can learn important things from each others if we are not lumped up together trying always to outdo each other to seize one position or the other, whether we like it or we hate that ABURI (CONFEDERATION) which those who think they are stronger and always shamelessly avoid it by all means, even brag that they will fight against it with every drop of their blood, now this arogancy and ignorancy on part of those like DAVID MARK & CO is the problem and until we stop seeing every healthy and peaceful solutions as a victory to the biafrans rather than victory to all of us, am afraid even somalia will better in terms of loss of opportunities and that of human lives.

Nigerians have been warned countless times on this cultist president called GEJ. DON'T PEOPLE THINK ANYMORE? Love of Money has trully blinded the thinking faculty of many Nigerians, so much so that, they don't even see the obvious anylonger. Why only in this regime there is so much bloodshed in the history of this country? Why is it that you and I believe GEJ HAS THE POWER AND WILL TO STOP THIS VIOLENCE BUT YET HE REFUSES TO DO JUST THAT? Why so much pains on the people is not equated with arrests of king pins and meticulous procecution of perpetrators? Why so much impunity? Why is it business as usual like nothing has happened? If you can honestly and satisfactorily answer these questions, then you'll be able to see that certain individuals are devilish and cultists who actually benefit perhaps are rewarded for these happenings. Its a shame that Nigerians want to opt for one solution (suffering and smiling) and not explore other means to stop this carnage and security challenge of the nation currently. Rather NL has been able to show us how disunited Nigerians are with Tribalism on the peak of the pyramid of Nigerian problems. It so sad that at this stage of our emancipation we are still besoted by simplistic issues of old like indescipline, nepotism, exam malpractises, cheating(fraud and 419), uncleaniness, illegal bunkering and sabotage, lack of fear of God, disrespect to authority, lack of patriotism etc. When we had the opportunity in the 80's to change them, and inculcate them in a typical Nigerian, but failed will cost us dearly, now and for good as one cannot even estimate the cost to nation building. The result we are reaping now is even more dare than anticipated as the phase of correction has forever pass us by. Believe it or not this simplistic monster has tady metamorphosed into something more sinister such has Boko haram insurgence of today (which the president of taday with personal agenda toys with is fingers), Lack of honesty in the society(e.g. exam malpractices widespread and institutionalised), senseless love of money that has brought lots of injury to many and yet very few very dishonest ones are the rich(e.g. many leave Nigerian shores to go and procure bad name for the people and nation of Nigeria through their illigal, criminal and other neferious activities world wide in the process creating problems for honest ones who are building the name Nigeria), Kidnapping, tribalism, disruption of family and cultural arrangement, lack of love for compatriot and jealousy syndrom(e.g. a Nigerian will prefer to give contract to ill-meaning foreigner before he looks at his compatriot because ihe/she is not from your tribe), wastefulness and poor accountability, weak leadership and followership( e.g delibrate thwarting of national progress because of ill-concieved selfish benefitiation of developmental program), lack of forward-looking policy and interest on the part of those appointed to run affairs of state(e.g. poor geverment structure that has failed to address key issues like, electricity, energy, health, water, food and other basic amenities), Mediocrity, corruption, lawlessness (e.g. untouchability in Nigerian judicial sytem weakness)etc. We may go on and on. Worst is yet to come if irresponsibility of GEJ is made to continue unabated as we continue to see on a daily basis. This man is unmeritably in power for a sinister agenda. Don't find out this agenda too late.

Detachments of the 4th battalion deployed to other northern towns continued their acts of lawlessness everywhere they went. Soldiers in the infantry company deployed to Makurdi (under S/Captain Adeniran who replaced T/Major Daramola of the 3rd battalion) were instrumental to the outbreak of systematic killing in September of Igbos fleeing from other parts of the North. It is not for nothing that the vehicle and railway bridge over the River Benue at Makurdi was nick-named the "Red Bridge". In a pattern established by the preceding unit, easterners (particularly those with low Military or Police style crew hair cut) were allegedly screened out at the Train station, or hunted down in joint Army-Police-Militia house to house searches, then taken to an open field in Makurdi North where they were allegedly executed. All of these alleged activities could not have escaped the attention of the local Police Special Branch officer, then ASP Shettima, but it is unclear what steps were taken by authorities to bring the situation under control, assuming they were even aware of what was going on. Those easterners who escaped the Makurdi railway bottleneck had to contend with molestation and looting by rural opportunists along the Makurdi-Otukpo road, if they thought going by road was safer. If they escaped that, they had to survive a final checkpoint at Otukpo, allegedly manned by one Lt. Obeya.

God is not a fool. If you commit crime against a people you should apologize, but if you don,t, God must surely punish you in one way or the other, you cannot cause the death of 2 million people, and expect things to be normal, things don,t work that way.

I am very sorry for Nigeria.
