Breakdown of Fees for OAU Students (2012/2013 session)


For payments : Allocation of Faculties to Banks for the purchase of scratch cards for various fees will be on the e-portal early next week. The re-introduction of scratch cards payment method is to eliminate problems (i.e.non and/or late confirmation of payments by banks) associated with the previous method which made it difficult for students to register within the stipulated time.

Thanks for your observation, I guess you're an accounting aspirant also if yes, then we are in thesame shoes..... Accounting list is still in progress because of the large number of candidates they admit compared to other departments..... Let's keep our fingers crossed and hopefully we'll rejoice dis week......

RESUMPTION FOR THE 2012/2013 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Senate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has approved that the University should resume for the 2012/2013 academic session on Sunday, March 3, 2013.

The highlights are as follow:

March 2, 2013 -On-Line Registration for Harmattan Semester Courses Commences.
March 3, 2013 -Fresh Students come into Residence.
March 4-8, 2013 -Clearance at Faculty and Admission Offices.
March 11-15, 2013-Orientation Week for Fresh Students.
March 17, 2013 -Returning Undergraduate/Postgraduate Students come into Residence.
March 18, 2013 -Lectures Commence for Harmattan Semester, 2012/2013 Academic Session.
April 8, 2013 -End of Normal On-Line Registration for courses.
April 21, 2013 -End of Late Registration with penalty.
April 24, 2013 -MATRICULATON

INSTRUCTIONS TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS FOR THE 2012/2013 ACADEMIC YEAR

Candidates who made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first and/or second choice and took the Obafemi Awolowo University Post UTME are advised to check their names from the list of candidates admitted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on the Obafemi Awolowo University Website (www.oauife.edu.ng) or e-portal.oauife.edu.ng and follow the procedures for registration as laid out. Confirmation of admission on the OAU website shall commence with the payment of non-refundable acceptance fee of N20, 000.00 (fresh students only).

Candidates shall thereafter continue with the registration procedure as detailed out on the e-portal of the website as provided above i.e. (www.oauife.edu.ng) or e-portal.oauife.edu.ng.

Students are required to pay appropriate charges as indicated below by obtaining scratch cards at the counter of any of the branches of the following banks:

II. OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR 2012/2013 REGISTRATION OF FRESHMEN

Candidates who have been offered admission should present the original and four (4) photocopies each of their credentials including Birth Certificate/Sworn Declaration of Age. Each candidate will be required to submit his/her admission notice as downloaded. They will also be required to present the print out of the certificate form for further screening.

III.SCREENING OF FRESH STUDENTS

All fresh students are to report in the University for the Screening Exercise at their various Faculties. They should come with their various documents listed above as well as admission status and the payment clearance of the charges from the e-portal. Any fresh student who fails to report for the screening exercise within the specific period i.e. March 4 to March 8, 2013 will be deemed to have forfeited his/her admission offer. Flyer for procedure on screening/registration for fresh student will be made available at the Admissions Office and in all Faculties and Halls of Residence.

IV.PROCEDURE FOR ACCESSING THE E-PORTAL:
1.Log on to the University e-portal using your Registration Number and the Password you used last on the portal.

2.Complete the following forms correctly on the Portal.
(i)CERTIFICATE FORM (for not more than two sittings)
(ii)BIO-DATA
(iii)COURSE REGISTRATION FORM
(iv)BED SPACE CLEARANCE FORM (Optional)

The Course Registration Form will only be available upon:
(a)Successful filling of forms (i) and (ii) above.

(b)Payment for appropriate fees should be made with scrstch cards obtained from any Ile-Ife branch of the banks listed above.

Please note that 2000 spaces only are available for each of the Special Electives except SER 001 and LIB 001, which are compulsory for all Fresh Students.

3.Problems, if any, will be addressed on-line using any of the following options:
(i)Online help in the e-portal
(ii)Six Hotlines will be available for contact (the Hot lines will be available on the e-portal)
(iii)E-mail:- isis@oauife.edu.ng can be used as well.

Returning Students are required to pay the appropriate charges as indicated above as well as a sum of N1,600 for TISHIP (Tertiary Institutions Students Health Insurance Programme).
Students with extra semester(s) are required to pay appropriate charges including TISHIP as indicated above. They should, in addition, obtain clearance from their Heads of Departments to enable them log on to the e-portal for registration.

Students should access the e-portal from any Cyber Café anywhere for their registration as stipulated above.

BED SPACE ALLOCATION:
Fresh undergraduates and final year students will request for Bed Space Allocation placement directly on the e-portal and payment of appropriate fees including accommodation. Candidates will be required to print 3 copies of Bed Space Clearance Forms from the e-portal which must be duly signed by the student and the Hall warden.

Students are required to keep one of the completed Bed Space Allocation Forms, submit one to the Dean, Student Affairs and the last copy to Hall Warden to qualify him/her to OCCUPY the bed space allocated. Please note that failure to s.ubmit the Bed Space Clearance Forms automatically disqualifies the Bed Space Allocation.

Apart from fresh undergraduate students, final year students are also given priority for accommodation. Other spaces available (if any) will be balloted for.

I've seen d procedures on oau website amusco. tanx for d gud work. d question is, how are we gonna start d procedure? arn,t we gonna pay for bed space before we were given bed spaces? and i read we are to submit an original of our credentials with 4 photocopies, wat did they mean by original? cos i haven't collected d original of my o'level from NECO office ooo, or did they mean d print out from d internet? pls elucidate on dis for us.
