How on earth will someone marry a total stranger, cos that is wat i can cal this. If there is proper courtship, the lady would have realized and know dat the guy is nt working or she has been blind folded by the so called guy workn in an oil company and want to settle down quick. Or did they meet on facebook? Anyway, the deed has been done, it wil only serve as a lesson to others to always look before leaping. |

See dem! that is how one 'ode' woman came to Nairaland to be asking if a bank has any right to seize the BILLIONS sent to her husband by foreign investors.Obviously the husband lied to her. This should serve as a deterrent to Ladies who are so hasty about Marriage. No matter the level of love you feel for your man, always carry out security checks on the guy and don't be overwhelm by his Money because in some cases, his flamboyant status at that point he is about getting married to you could be nothing but smoke-screen and when you finally get married to him, it will be too late to turn back the hands of time. |

Funny world! So you all accepted the guy for his bucks. You are all responsible for this, and now you want him out cos he is been deceiving you all... A truncating incident indeed. Hw did the naughty guy financed the wedding and everything all the way. I feel sorry for the guy because he wantd to express his love but no1 would listen to a jobless mo'fukca. For some strange reason I am experiencing schadenfreude for the girl in question. I'm sure the MAJOR attraction from the outset was the 'fact' that he was working in an oil company. Typical Naija girls: greed, materialism, and commoditized/commercialised love must set in. If he had told her he was an applicant, maybe she would have spat on him. She got played, rightfully so. No pity here. But sha some guys get time oh. It's fair enough to lie your way into a girl's pants (after all, girls do worse than that). But to lie your way into marriage with a girl is just ridiculous. . .unless of course her surname is Adenuga or Dangote et al. 3 Likes |

In fact,for his actions, he might be forced to use her or the baby for ritual when faced with problem. How can you lie to the woman to the extent of marring her when he knew he had no job? Giving him money now to start up something is to encourage him become a fool.Let him and the lady face the problem first so that he may understand the gravity of his actions. When you give him money, he will endanger himself and the immediate family as he never worked for the money. 1 Like |

If the girl is not yet pregnant, I think I quick divorce should do the trick! Except, ofcourse, if she was in on the whole stuff. A divorce now with the temporary 'disgrace' is better than a lifelong marriage in penury. |

If such guy is set up on a big investment he will dump ur cousin believe me. Or better still set up ur cousin and dont let the gold digger have much access to the investment. |

Am so sorry for your coz but the truth is that her hubby is not honest. Marriage no be joke and with a baby on the way its best u guys rally round and save them. I wont advise giving the guy all the money cos he might start telling stories when d baby arrives. |

How can a whole family be this DUMB?  Who the hell just wakes up and marries the first man on sight?No work email addresses? Never got to meet at least one or two of his colleagues? No close observation about his lifestyle? No one from work attended his wedding? No one from his family ever talked about his Job status?...Not even a chitchat with his sisters, cousins or friends gave you guys the slightest clue? are you serious? this has got to be a grand joke! If this dude can fool your entire family and can still convince you guys to part with your money....then I'd be happy to meet and do business with people from your family. @OP Its sad. Dis reminds me of my aunt's hubby... Dis guy did not only deceive his in-laws but also duped his brother-in-law. For his FIL's burial, he pledged some cash but gave jack s.hit! Heck, he even sold the cows that were donated for the burial... Boys are nt smiling! |
