In most areas in Uyo and other L.G.A's in Akwa Ibom State, the turn out was poor while some had large turn out. Traders in many markets were seen going about their normal businesses in the popular Akpan Andem Market in Uyo metropolis, as traders excuses were based on previous irregularities and corruption in elections, where a winner has already been anointed against the votes and wishes of the electorates . These was against the No Movements order by the Government.. In L.G.A's like Ika, Ikonno, Oron and Itu election voilence, deaths and houses burnt was recorded. Elections result sheets were not sent and found among the materials sent, as this lead to the death of a returning officer in Ward 3, Itu. It was learnt that the absence of the election result sheet lead to his death. On discovery, he attempted to run. The absence of Election Result Sheet lead to the cancellation of Election in many L.G.A's. Many Chairmanship aspirant went unopposed in many L.G.A's.. Generally the goverment reports that Election was Voilence Free and went smooth. No doubt election went free and smooth but not every L.G.A's
