Why should I put up a notice? Its my forum and I decided to stop it. My call. Its nobody's business when I put it up or down. Its a free forum so kini big deal?. Well, I wonder what'll happen if the administrator of nairaland wakes up one day and decides to close it without any prior information, after all, it's also free. Nobody is arguing who your forum belongs to, but remember, you must have encouraged people to join it one way or the other. You owe it to them, to inform them when you are going off, with good time I must add, that is the civil thing to do. I didn't pay to join nairaland, facebook, yahoo, twitter, myspace and others, but i do hope the day they decide to go off for any reason, they'll at least place a notice on their site. - I guess your response'll be "your headache".

You helped them register the domain name and market it but now you distance yourself from them, did you not know that when you help market something, people might take up that offer based on your stamp of approval? Why don't you learn from your mentor (Dr. Sunny)? Do you know how many times he has come back to publish disclaimers so that people will not be deceived? or Do you know how many times he has come back to explain or clarify an issue live on his papers? I once attended a seminar held at Dr Sunnys' office, the attendants were not at all happy with the delivery, we complained that what was advertised and what we paid for was not what we got. He ordered that we be refunded 50% of our registration fees. Mind you, he wasn't the one that delivered the seminar, but rather his facility was use and with the arrangement then it made him a stakeholder. That was why he ordered that we be refunded 50% of our money. I'm not in anyway asking you to refund anybody a dime but rather, that you show little customer service. Don't bother responding, it's my headache.

You are a business owner, clearly posting statements like "Thats their headache", "Your headache", "Do you have comprehension issues?" and loads of other words were not what one would expect from you. Please search for VoguePay on Nairaland and you'll see that there was a post were people were complaining and posting stuff about the service. The guy came here, first accepted their fault and then explained in details what the problem was and how they're going about solving it. The point here, is not whether you were at fault or not but rather you manner of response which clearly shows itself in every response you make. Which clearly show lack of customer service and responsibility.

Please don't bother to respond because as usual "it's my headache", thanks I heard that.

A topic calls me a scammer and I should come and start explaining myself? Not in this lifetime. I'm not in the business of trying to satisfy the whole world. If you hit me I'll take a revenge. I'll hit back.

If they have an issue with a site, they should take it to support of that site. I sent an email to them and I was told there was no outstanding. There is even a fake facebook page by someone (maybe the OP who claims his friends -not him- have the problem).

You think I will be here trying to explain to such trolls? Called me names and should grovel on my knees? No chance. I put up my office address for anyone who believes I have anything to hide. Here it is again.

This guy is damn rude for my liking. No matter how rich or big you are, you need to show respect to your prospective/existing customers. Am only commenting cos of what your responses so far. No offence intended.

You keep responding and still continue using the type of language that a top executive or business owner is not supposed to be using on a public forum (NA WAH O!).

Wait self, people make calls, they have drop calls, and come to nairaland and complain about GSM providers been thieves and call them loads of bad name, but I don't see their executives calling people names or using foul languages in response. That's what shows you're above them, you don't need to retaliate to prove that you pass them. Sorry , I guess you used Baba's style (push me I push you). I have to give you credit here. You have a point.

But me I dont know how to take punches without hitting back with even more punches. I prefer we fight and then make up rather than just accept and keep quiet.

. . . Akin, stop stay calm. When and where did you pick up thîs behaviour? E.g i am an active punter on n.a.i.r.a.b.e.t, and am there because you have a hand with them. If today the sites go down and i call customer care, they refuse to pick, who do u think i would blame. Its a simple thing and remember we are nigerians. Many a time i see complaints on nai.ra.be.tforum. Yet, u don't reply harshly there.

I do not blame Akin for his combative attitude because Nigerians have abused "the customer is always right" principle to the hilt. Akin built this business from scratch with N7,500 from 2002/2003 till what it is today.

Most of the people who write all the rubbish about him, are people who are envious of his success. Why would someone in his right mind just wake up and call him a scammer? If you have a problem with customer service, go to their office.

Which company in Nigeria has good customer service? Is it MTN or Glo or any of the Telcos? Why don't Nigerians brand them as scammers? is it because there is no one person you can hold on to in a place like MTN where they are using all manner of fake promos and stuff to dupe Nigerians daily of their hard earned money?

Please we need to be civil when dealing with a business person or indeed with any human being for that matter. I have learnt in my own businesses which I built from ground zero not to reply to some of these rude "customers". Indeed, there are customers I have bluntly told to take their money elsewhere. Those who need my services or expertise and are prepared to keep the relationship civil will do so.

Anyone who has a problem with Akin's businesses should either go to his office and resolve it (instead of coming here on Nairaland and be consuming bandwidth with stupid posts), or simply change to another provider. There are thousands of sports betting companies online. Some are even sponsoring jerseys of football teams, attesting to their solvency.

So let's cut the crap and use the word SCAMMER appropriately. Anyone who does not understand that word should not use it. Nonsense.

I have been following this thread right from the beginning and Akin has simply made it clear that he is not the owner of www.1kjobsonline.com he only helped set it up(i.e design & hosting) so why should he be responsible for what does not belong to him? Or if you have problem loading your credit on your phone who would you call? The customer care department of your network operator or the engineer that installed the masts for them?

I think it`s high time we stopped this Pull Him Down(PHD)attitude that is fast becoming entrenched in our value system in Nigeria.

Oga Akin, please add more leagues to your site and more live matches, I am really proud of what you have done and giving foreign sites a run for their money. From the days where it was just 1X2 bets to what it is today, you can do better. Please add more leagues. Like today, I can't find a league in Germany, Sweden and some other countries. Just match bet3.65 in services.

I really wonder why anyone should be bothered with how Akin runs his business if such a person has not bought anything from him. If you look at alabiforum.com, the site was invaded by spammers and porn hackers. So taking it down was just the best thing. If anyone feels hard done by, please start your own forum or start your own business. Simple!
