Buhari Incited Kaduna Bombing - CHAIN by TechRev: 5:41pm On Jun 19, 2012
A group of Northern Christians called CHAIN have blamEd the recent spate of violence in Kaduna on the recent utterances of Muhammadu Buhari which they branded as inciteful. Buhari, the CPC presidential candidate in last year's election has beenn caught up in controversial statements of late. CHAIN released the statement below;

Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) is very concerned that Muhammadu Buhari, a resident of Kaduna city in Kaduna state has kept a loud silence in view of the series of bloody suicide attacks that greeted five churches in Kaduna this past weekend. Our concern is all the more heightened given the fact that Muhammadu Buhari was very vociferous in calling for bloodshed only a few weeks ago and when bloodshed arrived at his door steps he has chosen to keep quiet.

It would be recalled that when Buhari made his call for bloodshed between "dogs" and "baboons", Christian Awareness Initiative of Nigeria (CHAIN) warned that his comments were capable of inciting violence from sleeper cells who were waiting for his commands to strike.

At that time we had warned in a widely publicized statement carried in most Nigerian papers that "Buhari should not turn the current war on terror to a North versus South affair. When Buhari says that "Since the leaders now don’t listen to anybody but do whatever they wish, there is nothing the north can do"

We call on Nigerians to recall those words of Buhari and note how those words have incited the recent events in Kaduna. But perhaps more damning is Buhari's loud silence when all around him in Kaduna extremists are fulfilling his prophecy. Does Buhari's silence mean consent?

We wish to state that we believe that there is a direct link between the inciting rhetoric of Buhari and the recent unpsurge of violence. Furthermore, we call on Nigerians to ask themselves the following questions;

When was the last time that Buhari condemned Boko Haram or any of their attacks?

Who are those calling for the Federal Government to dialogue with Boko Haram?

When Nigerians have objectively answered the above questions, they will find that Buhari and his political party and close associates habitually keep a loud silence when it comes to condemning Boko Haram, but are most vociferous when it comes to calling for dialogue with Boko Haram. Need we say more? Nigerians should read between the lines.

Nigerians may want to cast their minds back to only a week ago when Buhari who only a few days before was using the Dana Crash to score political points travelled to Kano to celebrate and felicitate with the CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on his turbanning as Dan Majen Kano, just five days after the crash which threw the whole nation into mourning.

Buhari's comments on Shari'a just before the Shari'a riots in Kaduna in 2000 stoked the flames that ended up claiming over 2000 lives, his comments to Muslims to vote only Muslim candidates in 2003 polarized Nigeria and led to mutual distrust during the 2003 elections, his comments on lynching people stoked the post election violence that swept Northern Nigeria after the 2011 elections and finally his "dog" and "baboon....soaked in blood" rhetoric incited the recent violence in Kaduna just as the comments of Hutu politicians calling Tutsis "cockroaches" led to the ethnic cleansing that claimed 2 Million lives in Rwanda.

A slave who sees his fellow slave being buried in a shallow grave should know that he will be so buried when his own time comes if he does not escape. If Nigerians think Buhari's comments cannot lead to ethnic cleansing then they should be reminded of the recent statement by an Italian minister that what is happening in Northern Nigeria is ethnic and religious cleansing.

@Poster, Pastor Caleb is wrong. First, you do not accuse the man again of being the cause of the chaos when he finally SHUTS THE HECK UP, after you told him to. Instead, you open your eyes and start looking around at other possible causes

Also, the person who in-sighted the recent bombings, Kaduna included, was technically Jonathan Goodluck himself. In March, the President made yet another vow to overcome Boko Haram this June. In response, Boko Haram, promised him serious attacks from then on.People like Pastor Caleb should spend time educating himself on the situation in Nigeria, before going public.

Oh now this is a very easy question to answer, Mrs. Argument-for-entertainment. You see Madam Disputation, your Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden is on record for having REPEATEDLY bragged that he would render Nigeria "ungovernable" if he again LOST another presidential election. Perennial LOSER Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden is also on record for his periodic issuance of bizarre "predictions" that "blood would flow" if Buhari failed to forcibly unseat Nigeria's ELECTED president with this ongoing terror campaign of suicide bombing that is now creeping southward from northern Nigeria.

Yes sir indeed, there is absolutely NO question that the Global Policeman, on whose shoulder sits the majestic and deadly Global Hawk, now regards terror mastermind Ayatollah Buhari Bin Laden as a Person of Interest, who may well wind up taking a Hellfire missile up the rectum one fine day before things get too far out of hand in Nigeria. Thank you Jeeesus ha ha ha.

This Pastor Caleb is a m0r0n. Is kaduna the first place where Boko Haram have been bombing? Why single out Buhari just because he's from there? Why go after Buhari with ZERO evidence and NO logical explanation when people like Bamanga Tukur who claimed that Boko Haram are fighting for justice are left unchallenged?
Doesn't this doltish pastor know that 90% of those calling for the FG to dialogue with Boko Haram are card carrying PDP members and the 'dialogue' view is one that even GEJ has expressed in the past?

First Oritsejafor then these clowns...the CAN leadership in this country is VERY dissapointing. This is what happens when folks forsake logic, concern for their fellow man and the gospel of love and start chasing money...you'll see them careful to avoid offending their FG and PDP paymasters.

hmmmn, Buhari!
The blood of the dogs and baboons is continually splashed on the street, I guess Buhari is a fulfilled man.

Any way, the histories of revolutions are often rife with the tales of the revolutionists head decorating the stake. Buhari undisguised desires for Nigeria to burn because of his ambition is well documented. The raging fire is getting closer and closer to his home - I hope he tarries. Perhaps he would lose a limb, an eye, or an ear; perhaps he would lose his his head! Perhaps, the raging fire may yet consume him, in whole, while he lay in his very 'quiet' slumber.

What is certain though, is that Nigeria is gradually approaching river Rubicon, whether we cross that river or not is a different ball game. But things will never be the same again! Nigeria as we know it, is clinically dead, because Buhari lost elections for the third time in row!

The old man is to blame for it all now. That has been the M.O for the administration, for the past year. Yet, during the same period, Nigeria cannot seem to account for all the Billions of Naira that has so far been spent on providing security to the people. Foreign sources continue to hint at the Government really doing near nothing to quell the violence, and the President continues to make new vows with no end in sight.

With his army of jihadist that infiltrated every cunner of the government parading and posing as "ONE NIGERIA" one wonder why does he have to openly calling for innocent blood to be drank? You can go on trying to ridicule yourselves by jumping to defend your war criminal leaders, the writing on wall is crystal clear and it's nothing other than ETHNIC/RELIGIOUS CLEANSING that is going on before our very own naked eyes in NIGERIA!

I've seen some of your other arguments on this forum and that I decided not to comment on them was simply cos I wanted a clearer basis so I could really understand where u are coming from, and finally u've shot yourself on the leg.
How can u make such 'absurd asinuation'with due respect to former President Bush, everybody in this country knows Buhari has been fanning the embers of violence with his unguarded violent comments, why would someone deliberately and selfishly be working towards violence just because he isn't voted for,the presidency is won through the ballot box not through bloodshed,no one has a monopoly of violence and when u create violence it grows to eat you up,it's a raging wild fire that can eat up even the person that lit it.
Buhari n his cohorts have God to thank that our President is a Leader and not MAXIMUM RULER like him,I imagine where anyone who does this in Buhari's govt will be,but let them also be warned that the meekness of a lion is not an indication it's weakness. Judgement day will definitely come.

Knowing Nairaland, soon rather than later someone will saying these:
(1) Buhari is responsible for his wife's inability to conceive after years of trying.
(2) My wife is a very bad cook and I expect Buhari to speak out and condemn her but he was silent.
(3) Buhari provided the fund FG used to compensate the family of Boko Haram executed leader.
(4) Buhari threatened Ibori with Boko Haram to steal all those money from his people.
(5) The money Farouk got from Otedola they are now looking for is hiding under Buhari's bed in Daura.
(6) Buhari invented or imported HIV into Nigeria to punish immoral Christians.
(7) Adedibu is not really dead, Buhari kidnapped him to Pakistan and threatened his family with Boko Haram if they speak out.
(coolAll Rivers/streams in the south will be mysteriously turned into blood if Buhari win.
(9) God has revealed to all Bishops that any Christian man that vote for Buhari in an election will go to hell with his family.
(10) Henry Okah now works for Buhari and he has given his wife to Buhari as a thank you gesture.
There is more.......

If they arrest him with VALID evidence to show he is guilty, OFCOURSE people will not wail. Whether Tinubu, Buhari, Obasanjo, Lawan, Jonathan Goodluck and Patience Goodluck even, you only arrest when there is sufficient evidence to bring up a charge.

However, I am sure you are aware it would be stupid to arrest him for the sake of it. And I hope that is not what you suggest should happen.
