Let your mind be at rest. Also you can eat semo and egusi/bitterleaf soup, you can also drink hot water,it helps too. Kpele

White rice with stew helped me and also tea. Some mamas said fenugreek works too! Take warm water and rest

On the issue of lactation, the more you stress, the more you won't be able to get any supply.

I had lots of kunu and pap which helped. I also took palm wine.

There's a woman on instagram called milky express. She sells lactation cookies and other stuff that aids milk flow. Lots of women swear by her stuff. Perhaps you can try her too

Lots of people swear by fenugreek seeds too

The two things that really worked for me were
1. I drank hot water. Steaming ridiculously hot water. I drank up to 2 liters. And before I knew it my bosoms were hard like rocks.

2. I went to visit my mum one fine weekend, she made Okro/ogbono and Semo. I ate it HOT! That night I had to force my son to wake up and feed so the pain of engorgement could leave me.

You need absolute rest. The more you worry the more your supply diminishes

Lastly, make sure you're hydrated! Drink water.

Antenatal @7mths? when u r almost due/ please don't take chances. There are some tests, injections and drugs you will need per term, so don't wait till third trimester before u start.

Those in Lagos will answer ur first question.

By milk, do you mean formula?
Why not supplement breast milk with formula..that should be enough. Don't know about pap for a 3 months old baby

I have read that manual breast pump is difficult. You can buy an affordable electric pump.
As for improving lactation, I take oats alot, drink tea and try to get enough rest. Take lots of water too.

Good day ma. Please can you explain what you mean by “milk and breast is no longer satisfying her” and how you found out.
I’m not trying to judge your decision but I think your explanation will help us to answer you better but the decision is yours to make.

Having said that, it is advisable to wait till 6 months before introducing any other thing to your baby. You can try that at 5 months but please not earlier than 4 months.

Mba biko. Increase the quantity of formula if it's not enough, don't be in a hurry.

Do u mean starting a baby of 3mnths plus on guinea corn is too early?... My baby has refused taking Nan n SMA formula decided to try her on guinea corn today she is still refusing. She jus want only breast milk. Really don't know wat to do o.

I've not been myself, MIL has been sick & she eventually passed on,on the 5th of January(just wen she requested to speak with hubby... b4 she was given d phone...) She's been buried dis past weekend and we are bk to our base.
