Hi dear, pls change d milk. Some babies don't just acccept any milk so u keep tryin until u see d onne he accepts. U can try Nan, aptamil, SMA gold or Cow & Gate. I ll advice u try NAN first cos it's d cheapest amongst d ones I mentioned so that if he rejects it, it won't too much money.

Hello dear, I don't think it's advisable to start cereal at 14weeks. Pls ask ur paediatrician. Though some pple do it it's not advisable cos of d baby's digestive system. Cereal can be given from 17weeks.

I also doubt if u ll see any cereal that is suitable for 14weeks (I might be wrong) D earliest I av seen is from 4months+

Heinz rice cereal. There are different types of cereal that's suitable from 4months.
1. Heinz rice cereal
2. Heinz Oat cereal
3. Cow & Gate fruity cereal
4. Cow & Gate Banana cereal
5. Cow & Gate Strawberry/Banana Cereal
4. Gerber Oatmeal etc

They r all suitable to give from 4months. It's stated on d pack. They r sold btw 900-1000 naira per pack. But now I make my own rice cereal and oatmeal cereal and also make my baby's puree myself cos it's cheaper.

Hello Cutesonia. I only kno how to make rice cereal, oatmeal and purees. I av posted d cereal methods b4 but see below.

For rice cereal, I buy uncle ben's brown rice. D small pack. It's about 1200k then I blend d rice usin dry blender into powder form but it almost spoilt my blender. I ll advice U can take it to d market so d pple usin big grinding machine can grind it. pls grind it dry. It's smoother that way. Store in an air tight container. Then to make it, boil water in a pot. While d water is boiling, add like 2-3 tablespoon of d grinded rice cereal, keep stairing and allow to cook for 15-20mins on low heat. If it's too thick while cookin u can add water to get desired texture. Allow to cool down a little and add ur breastmilk or formula in desired quantity then serve. Store d remaining grinded powder in d freezer.
Do same with oatmeal but I use Old fashioned Quaker Oat.
Most pple prefer oatmeal cereal cos of d high fibre content thus reduces d chance of constipation.

For Puree:

Carrot Puree (suitable from 4months)
I buy carrot like 200 naira. Peel or scrape out dd back, wash very well then cut into small pieces, put in a pot, add water and boil till it becomes very soft. Allow to cool down then put d boiled carrot in ur blender and add little water (pls note the water u r addin should be d one u draineed from d carrot after boilin so as to get any nutrient from d carrot that is left in d water), blend d carrot. After which take out d one u want to feed d baby with and add ur breast milk or formula and feed ur baby. U can buy small plates with cover and distribute d remaining blended carrot into d plates and freeze. Pls don't mix d one u ll freeze with milk.

Banana Puree (suitable from 4months)
Buy nice lookin ripe banana, peel one and wash very well, ccut into smaller pieces in a bowl, use fork to mash it very well, add breastmilk or formula and feed ur baby. Some pple microwave it for like 1min b4 mashin and addin milk.

Avocado Puree (suitable from 4months)
Buy nice lookin ripe avocado pear, cut open and separate d avocado from d back layer. Put in a bowl, mash with a fork, add ur milk or formula and feed ur baby. Pls do no microwave d avocado.

I'm still recovering, the incision is not fully healed, don't know why it's taking this long.
My twin girls are doing fine, but it's hard to manage them, I cry most times when I am alone, lol.

How are u coping? Would love to borrow some of your coping strategies o abeg.

I use mucus extractor to draw out the cattar but it doesn't make her comfortable and I'm scared i might just extract her brain instead of mucus

A boy and a girl. Scheduled c.s on an unplanned date... Mine do t allow me sleep thru the night. No be only you dey cry o. Before I make food to eat, feed between meals, feed them both, rock them to sleep, hold one for good 30mins before burping... I'm having serious headache self. My mil has not been helpful.

Just keep on b-feeding...it will go. Be careful who handles them.. and hands should be washed regularly.

You do realize this vaccine is booster dose. Its for 0-5yrs. I asked two medical doctors and they both said there is nothing wrong in my lo taking it. I still repeat what I said earlier check your immunization cards and ask your docs too.

Biko buy sanitiser too and keep so if anyone wants to carry them, they use it 1st. They don't prescribe anything for flu there oh. So u ll just av to keep breastfeeding until it clears off on its own. My son and I were lucky to get flu shot after I had him so in d midst of my bro's house that everyone had cold we didn't get it. It is well with ur bundles of joy
