Being a mother is discovering strengths you didn't know you had and dealing with fears you never knew existed. - Sherene Simon

I must say a very big THANK YOU to my wife for giving me my T-P(that lady really went through a lot). To all the other mothers, I'm saying thank you on behalf of all the fathers.

Wow!! Nice product. I bought the small pack and I must confess that its really nice. The aroma too is inviting.

Find a way to educate people more on the nutritional value. And also try to spread it across to other localities so people get to be aware of it. If you do your marketing well you'll overtake custard and the likes.

My niece loves it even more than her food.

Keep it up.
how much did u get it. I stay close to abesan estate maybe I can get one

N360.

I wish I had enough money on me I would have bought the bigger pack. (Anyway I was skeptical at first and wanted to try it).

You can ask for yourself. The contact number should be there.

You should be thankful he's made the transition to adult food easy for you! These foods all fall into one or the other of the required classes of nutrients that humans need to eat anyway so I don't think you should be worried. He will get protein from chicken or turkey which you can begin to give him if you haven't started for example . If you feel so concerned maybe you can add multivitamins to his diet.

Why not chill a bit, this is a new product on the market. At least let it get a NAFDAC certification and number. It sounds okay, but I have no idea if the ingredients are baby-safe (though it may be toddler and older child-safe). Babies have very gentle tummies and even if they are eating adult food, they're eating food prepared in an environment that are used to.

'drips' as in IV fluids are to be taken intravenously and not orally. I guess your neighbour meant ORS. Some call it drip and also there's no IV fluid 'drip' dats sold for 50naira. Cheers
u actually took d word out of my mouth, cos I rem Wen I was young, my mum used 2 prep sugar n salt solution n cal it oral drip. I grew up calin it oral drip Until I got pregnant n got 2 know d real name.
so I belive its ORS dat d neighbor meant not d IV drip dat can neva b sold 4 #50 sef.
so dear just try n find out wot she actualy meant by drip n if posible enlighten her.

Howz d light situation in ur side. I guess d pap isn't blocked hence the mucor you are seeing. I don't think it's safe for baby again o.
*Next time store in d freezer and from it you bring out little portions and store in d fridge for use or
*You put d pap in a big bowl/bucket with cover. Pour water and make sure it covers the surface, then ensure u change d water morning and evening.
*if light isn't sure in ur side, then make small quanties like 1 painter or buy from a trusted hand,in that way you will be able to use it up before it spoils.
Also, after processing d raw pap, make sure you get out most of d water by putting it in a Muslin bag and putting weight on top. In dat way d pap comes out caked wit less water and it's able to last longer without spoiling.
I hope this helps

you should be spoon feeding her by now ma'am prolonged use of feeding bottle is not healthy for your baby's teeth.

My 17 months old baby is still refusing to be spoon fed. I have forced him, the nanny at the day care as tried too. I don't know what else to do. Immediately he sees you with his plate and spoon, he will start crying. He can't even finish 125ml of light pap. I was forced to introduced golden morn. He doesn't eat much of adult food.

Like thru out last week, he brought back all the food I packed for him. Even today, he didn't eat any reasonable thing. If it is not pap, he won't answer me.

Somebody said his throat is not well opened. Abeg, have you heard of such?

Some children are just like that I guess. Na psychology we go use for am. Try blending potatoes maybe he will accept it. Then finger foods too let him reach out and feed himself. Try and arrange his meal times along with the rest of the family perhaps seeing you all eat will ginger him small. Don't fuss when he doesn't accept the food just pack it up after like 20 minutes whether or not he has eaten. He will improve with time. Try foods like sandwiches, fried potatoes- Irish and sweet, plantain maybe he will accept them. Like I said no fussing he will come round eventually.

You can try putting small small quantities inside that small moi moi transparent nylon, just the exact quantity you can finish at a go.
That's how I store mine, by so doing, I don't have to bring out big quantity of pap and after melting put it bk inside the fridge.

I know plain pap doesn't spoil fast even if you don't put in fridge.

Good evening mamas.
My 6 months old baby coughs so hard he vomits and he's been scratching his eyes too since like 3 months ago (we saw a pead concerning the eyes and he prescribed chlorophenical eye drop which we used but the itching started again after a while).

I saw a paed in our private hospital on monday and she checked him and said his chest is clear that maybe it's infection and so she prescribed "Orelox Antibotics" which we've been administering since tuesday.

My mother-in-law is an advocate of govt hospitals as against private hospitals (she feels they are quacks) and has insisted we must go to BMH to see a paed there. We went today and after checking him the paed also said his chest is clear and said I shud place him on "clarithromycin antibiotic" and I shud discontinue the "Orelox" I've been using since tuesday.
Am so confused abt what to do. Has anyone experienced this symptom with her baby before? or does anyone know abt or used this orelox or clarithromycin antibiotic?

My dear, I don't know. I'm going to post the mum below, try and read and see which describes his other symptoms. You neef to be able to accurately describe what his symptoms are.

http://m.kidshealth.org/en/parents/childs-cough.html?WT.ac=

It could be an allergy or asthma (though they would have heard something in his chest) or a viral infection. Did he get all his injections? Dtap and co?

I'll try ask a few people and see if they have any suggestions of what to ask your doctor to look out for.

You can simply augment with formula since you're sure she's not getting enough milk.

There are many good soaps and creams you just have to find what suits your budget and baby. It'll require some moderate level of trial and error. Good old Vaseline is suitable as body cream and many mums are now using Shea butter and coconut oil for their babies.

Hope this helps
