My dear,I won't lie;my baby's cord stay 21 days b4 it fell off eventhough we were doin d whole 2hrly cleanin s**t wit methylated spirit but stil,it refused 2fall off.Dat my girl suffered eh! Cos we used 2use vry hot water on d cord wen bathin her.Took her 2dr&sh kept reassurin us dat its ok.I even wanted dem 2surgically remov it cos I was freaked out.I knew my neice's own fell off afta 4days.Well,at 3wks,it fell off.Som ppl were sayin d spirit I was usin wasn't original but I used d same moko spirit my sister used so I don't knw.Just keep cleanin it wit spirit 2hrly frm d naval 2d top.It'l fall off&i hope d spirit u'r usin is strong abi original

Dis was now wat I had a problem with,d drugs given are d type given to olderkids,just dt d dosage I'm to giv d baby is smaller,I wud av been happier if I was given infant cough syrup and erytromicine(then I wud be sure they had babies in mind wen making it),I called up 2oda docs to confirm and they said d drugs werr ok to giv d baby,went on d internet to do research and evrything I found out was against d use of coughmedicine in infants below 3mnths,I'm just confused,thinkin of stopping d coughmedicine,

@jade, thanks for your response. All my doctor says is as long as she's adding weight each time we take her weight measurement during the immunization that she's fine.

And since she's a very active child, he tells me and DH all the time that she is fine and that not all children are meant to be fat. We have bought different types of food for her, heinz product, gerber and some that I can't even remember the names now, both fruits and cereals, all she does is eat small out of it and she's off to playing again. We also give her home made food, mashed potatoes and so on but she hardly eats them too.

Fear not,d same thing happened to me,my sonz own fell off @3wks,did research and found out some kidz own fall off at 8wks sef,someone said babies who rr born via cs or d mum had placenta previa are affected this way

And again,my boys nostril are always blocked,I always try using my mouth to draw the mucus out..wat can I do.
Also,my babies are turning to albino o..m very light naturally(as in Monalisa's type of lightnes) bt I ws tinkin since hubby is dark,our babies shd b ok,bt nw,dia hair colour is changing,m tinkin of changin dia cream or wat do u tink??

But I must confess those side effects are quite scary and I can remember a friend telling me about the drug sometime ago but she couldn't remember the name.

Might not use it for her then as she is such an active child and the effects will be too noticeable. But will still try and add you on twitter for the name all the same.

m nt using lightenin cream,I use Boots baby moisture fr dem..now dia hair and eye lash ar changn 2 brite golden..bt I rily dnt tink its d cream

thanx Jade. D thing is my baby is more on d tall syd. She'z slightly taller than my neigbours 14 month old son. Her dad is slim n tall n i m also tall (abt 5.9). In short, in my own family, its all abt height. So i ll worry less. Thanx so much. I ll try activate my twitter to add u.

madam, I don't have any solution to de wrinikled tummy. Me sef, my own Neva flat Finish as I no kuku do tummy binding. Anyway I use ori and. Pallmers cocobutter, hoping to have it sorted out. Hi, if you can avoid the cough syrup please do. It can cause breathing issues. Most of the cough syrups are expectorants. If the baby is too small to cough it up, it causes issues. This was what i learnt when faced with asthma in my 2 year old. The doctors said it could be as a result of the use of the syrup. That if i can avoid using it, i should.

Cough will pass by itself if not treated. Just keep the chest covered.

Nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you take your pre-natal vitamins and eat healthily. It might be more tasking on you and make you more tired so watch your energy levels.

The taste may change although it is still very good for your baby. Most times, the babies just self wean cos of the change in taste.

@tjskii, pls follow ur instinct as a mum n also d advice of mummy blank. She's telling u from experience. U r d best person to care for ur baby.

Please mummies my 1yr+ baby also has cough o,i started giving her little honey at first but as it continued i have to start giving her one cough syrup (emzoyln or so),pls advise me.

Also we went to see the doctor this week and i complained about my baby's bow leg,if there's something we can do to correct it and the Dr said we'll need to see an orthopaedic surgeon/peadiatric surgeon or something like that.My question is has anyone heard of that before,where can they be located, what's the cost effect.Please mothers o,i'm really worried o though i feed her on complan and also give her cod liver oil too.......Please i need ur responses.Thanks great mums..

how are ur babies doing? May God continue 2 give us the strength and resources 2 take good care of them. few days ago, my son woke up in d middle of the night around 1am 2 be precise and started vommitting, it was strange because he has never had vomitting issues before and he is 1year+. the vomiting was going on and off for like 3hrs, i was scared to death, didnt knw wat 2 do because av never experienced this before. well, he later slept off around 4am. i couldnt sleep i kept checking again and again. he woke up around 7am and was hungry so i breastfed him, only 4 him 2 vomit all again afterwards. then i told my hubby its time 2 go 2 the hospital, i cant take it anymore. well, d doctor asked wat he ate, and the only new tin he ate before evening was fried yam balls that i prepared, and he ate it 4 d 1st time. he said the yam balls possibly reacted in his stomach or something. that he wont stop vomitting untill he clears his stomach. then he told us to give him more liquid and gave us ORS (its like a salt solution) to prepare with cooled boiled water. and we gave him paracetamol for his temp.

he didnt really take the ORS drink well,so i gave him more water and breastmilk to hydrate him. but he stopped vomitting, so i'm sure its the yam balls after all, so no more yam balls for him. May God help us all!
