blackweaver: The phone has no sdcard slot so can't use one. I uninstalled it so that I install the updated one but its not installing because of the space error meanwhile I have 1.2gb of free system space so I don't know why it is giving the error. |

Please I need a Link To a Stable ICS Custom ROM For my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 korean version SHW-180S(or just Tab1). I need help in upgrading my Tab1 from the Android 2.3.4 stock Rom to any Stable 4.0.4 ICS custom Rom. My device is already rooted. Most of the roms i find come with one or two defects so i haven't tried flashing it yet. Maybe you can also guide me on how to do the flashing stuff. Thanx |

I have an android phone which i use on WiFi sometimes at work. Recently, the network began requiring authentication via proxy(user/pass) to connect to it. I've tried Sandroproxy(no root required) and it's NOT worked for me . I've also tried to go rogue by rooting my device but nothing seems to be clicking on that part as my laptop can't even detect the phone to save its life. I've been on XDA to download USB drivers, i've installed OEM drivers but nothing has worked...I've even tried the Android 1.0 driver thing, which worked on a previous phone(different laptop). Any help? |

I deleted play store cache, some apps caches and uninstalled some other apps. I still get the same message. I downloaded the apk and it's still the same. you need root. delete the apk and its .dex file inside /data/app then reboot and reinstall OR install lucky patcher (can't remember the exact function now, but it has an option to delete orphaned files and leftovers from rouge apps. Titanium Backup has a similar function OR wipe cache and dalvik cache in recovery OR bad as e bad, backup all your app/data, wipe data in recovery (better than factory reset as u wont lose system settings) then restore them back, make sure u restore data for just those apps u need the data and can't start from scratch (e.g games) Titanium works best for this |

4llerbuntu:It. doesn't. detect. my. phone...even with a different USB cable . Life with HTC can be difficult sometimes, Samsung never gave me this much trouble. I'm trying to root the device so i can use Autoproxy which seemed to work on my last HTC device. |

I connected to a charger then it starts up, after showing the samsung logo it powers off again, it repeats this way continuously. When I plug to a PC, it is not recognized. Just powers on (Up to the samsung logo) and off again.doxnload sp flash tool then download s2 stock rom then flash it in. Check needrom.com |

v3: I'm not sure i get the relationship between the laptop not detecting the phone, and connecting to the office wifi via proxy......... that's two different things...... anyway in my experience I have found this to be the best option for drivers for devices. https://pics.chimeratool.com/drivers/chimera_drivers.exe it installs drivers for tons of devices at once. you may try it....... |

@4llerbe I think v3 is trying to root his phone so he can try some other proxy tools , but his system is not detecting his phone @v3 what is the model of your phone, and what OS is running on your laptop? Have you tried checking if the phone is detected on someone else's laptop? |

bedfordng: you have to root and install cwm on the phone to enable you flash roms.download framearoot and launch it,then from the first box, choose superSU.then from the next option, choose either boromir or boramir, something like that,it will display successful root message, just restart the phone and then check your apps, look for supperSU and open it,you will see a welcome message.just ignore it.install rootchecker to confirm if your phone is rooted.if yes, then move to the next step in flashing clockwork mod using either mobile uncle or mtdroid toolsi already did that i downloaded framaroot and did exactly as you instructed but when i downloaded rootchecker but it told me fone not rooted correctly. pls what do i do to have proper root. thanks in anticipation. |

blackweaver: @4llerbe I think v3 is trying to root his phone so he can try some other proxy tools , but his system is not detecting his phoneyes! HTC Evo 4G. Windows 7. On a different laptop? I'm usually skeptical about plugging my phones on laptops...last one refused to come on after i plugged it to a different laptop. @VladimirPuskin Yes, you're not blind. @4ller, Downloading the Chimera Tools software atm. |
