kingreign: Thanks my Oga I don't think I will blast kazeem too much on this issue ooh Because I noticed that even on my own engine the hole (space) for connecting whatever that stuff is seems to be closed right from when I bought the engine tokumbo. as you can see from where my finger rests on the second picture there it's closed shut as if nothing is supposed to be there any Or is it that the hole is usually bored or created by the user because it's like the engine didn't come with the space for that apparatus from factory. I'm really confused with this discovery I swear. Maybe that's why it's consuming fuel anyhow. I need more clarification from guys who know this engine intoto cc GAZZUZZ honmusa luvinhubby day11 mayor2013 Abeg make una come ohhhhhh See another shot of the engines of the cars with their manifold cover opened up. As you can see from the pictures (mine is the top one) my own engine doesn't even have the opening that the other one has where that stuff goes into right from the factory. I'm wondering if there are different types of ivtec engines because I went on Google and yet found nothing about different versions of these engines.

Conner44: What is your Honda accord model year? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Conner44: 12:23pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
kingreign: It's a 2004 ivtec vti-ex. It's possible that my last engine (the one that was in the car when it was bought) has the same configuration like this other one I'm seeing now because I'm seeing a bolt used by the mechanic who changed the engine for me to block/plug the opening on the air hose going to the air filter compartment. Abi is it that there's an European and American version of this engine? Because the only reason I can think of concerning their differences might be due to emission issues that American specs cars usually have to conform to. |

kingreign: so oga in your years of working EOD engine you've not seen one like this my own? If what you're telling me is true then it means I've bought 'chinko' ivtec engine abi Chei!! na wah oh |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by kingreign(m): 1:48pm On Jan 22, 2017 |
Conner44: Check your specific engine type. Is it K24A1, K24A2, K24A4 or what? Pls check and revert to me. If your your car is a 2004 American spec Honda Accord, it should have K24A3 as its factory installed engine. |

Conner44:Check a paper by the side of the engine. Its usually there also an engrave portion is there to tell you the type of engine and engine number. |

To the techies in the house. I think i have a leak in the exhaust of my 2006 HONDA ACCORD because the exhaust is unusually loud whenever i rev the engine or while in motion. I will like to know what precautions i need to take in fixing it and also if i can be referred to a competent mechanic that can help in fixing it. I am based in Lagos. Thanks |

9free: OK. So, i've really looked around in the past few days, I wasn't able to find at any Total staion. If you intend to use the coolant for a Honda car, your next best alternative might be to contact luvinghubby for Honda Genuine type 2 coolant. Otherwise, hold on till Total supplies. |

I drive a Honda civic 2004 model. it doesn't accelerate well on time (race well) after ignition or after braking. What could be the problem and possible solution? And I notice that the hand brake sign on the dashboard is always on, irrespective of whether it is on hand brake or not? What could be the problem and solution? |

Secondly when accelerating it jerks before changing speed or gear. a friend said it's the plugs. Please help with possible solution and parts to be replaced. |

GAZZUZZ: Oga mi, I'm currently suffering from a similar problem but only when the AC is running. When AC is turned of, the car idles smoothly and around 800 RPM. Once the AC comes on, the RPM starts dancing between 200 and 400 with serious vibration. To stabilize, I'd have to raise the RPM to 1000 by throttling. How do I overcome this issue? Car is a 2001 Honda Accord V6. |

fabzizy93: Gear 1 & jerking are switch related, stuck or dirty. Difficulty in releasing from P, faulty gear selector or brake switch. |
