First things first. Check if there is gas in the system.
If there's no gas, the compressor won't come on.
Question: when you turn on the AC does the light on? Does the fan blow?

Like I said, it doesn't even come on at all let alone for fan to blow.

Check the evaporator temperature sensor.
Can this make the a.c not to even come on at all? It's not that it comes on but doesn't get cold, it just doesn't come on at all
Car Talk / 2007 Toyota Camry AC Not Coming On by adahib: 3:13pm On Oct 20, 2021
Good afternoon all.
The AC of my 2007 Camry has refused to come on. The electrician has checked all the fuses and relays but they all seem to be working. We have even gone as far as getting two different control knobs but they still didn't work.

As it stands the electrician has no idea how to proceed.

Please if anyone has any idea what the problem could be, I am very willing to listen.

Thank you.

You have no idea, see what is happening in some countries where you can go to jail if u don't use someone's correct pronouns, or ave your child taken from you when the child claims he is a boy whilst you gave birth to a girl. Check some things out on Youtube and see what people are doing when given such freedom. Jazz Jennings born a boy transitioned to a girl and see what the parents are making him go thru after they cut off his "junk" and replace with an artificial "hole", all the pain and internal bleeding. Check out "Desmond is amazing" also a 7 year old boy who dances at gay strip clubs while you have these perverts giving him money as he strips. Or drag queen story time where cross dressers and pedophiles are allowed to come and read stories to your kids as young as 4 years old and sometimes teach them how to dance and twerk as they do at strip clubs.
Its best not to even give them any chance so as to uphold our moral values.

I avoid pointless arguments online. unfortunately, this is one of such. Look at all the examples you have given and tell me if it relates in any way to what is being discussed? A parent cutting of the d.i.ck of her child is a crime punishable by law. How does that relate to bobrisky who chose to be a cross dresser?
All the other examples you gave are parental failings and have nothing to do with individual decisions of the children. For a parent who fails to care for his/her child as provided by the law runs the risk of losing custody of said child and should be punished by the law if he/she puts the very existence of such child at risk.

If a child grows up and decides to be a stripper or a drag queen, that's entirely within its right as long as it falls within the law.

Your last statement is the most ridiculous of all you have put up there. Please which moral values do "we" have? Is it the one that lets us fornicate or engage in adultery? (Not that I care in the very least what one chooses to do with his/her genitals). Is it the morals that allows you to give and take bribe? Is it the one that lets you swindle the first person you have a chance to swindle? Just so you know, most Nigerians have no morals worth a dime.

My point still remains that bobrisky has the right to express his sexuality any way he sees fit as long as it poses no harm to the next person.
Why do we spend energy and resources on irrelevant things?Nigeria is dealing with the worst case of insecurity we have ever known as a country and without any solution in sight but let's leave that and run after bobrisky. Our economy is in shambles but it doesn't matter, as long as we stop bobrisky. Senators are about to spend over 5b naira on luxury cars while the majority of Nigerians swim in multidimensional poverty but that's not important, we must jail bobrisky.
You lots disgust me.
I'm done with this talk. Express your hypocrisy and self-righteousness as you perceive it. Do have a rewarding day.

That's how it starts, give them an inch, they take a mile. Ask countries who allowed them how they a faring.

Please how are such countries faring if I may ask? Is Nigeria doing better than any of such countries in a single aspect of human existence?
I'm also very certain that if given an opportunity to emigrate to any of such countries, you would leave Nigeria faster than a rat whose tail is aflame.

and what is social rightness? Do you arrest people that have sex that aren't married or do you arrest adulterers-Who are worse than cross dressers

And as to praying for ones children: Do people pray for their kids to dress as the opposite sex I doubt so.....but if they decide to dress like that....then so be it.....you know how many female cross dressers we have? But I am sure u can't tell when you see one

Except you live under a rock, a lot of things have come to light (not necessarily changed)

So if your fear is that your child will become a crossdresser ( then put the blame on yourself, don't blame others for your perceived misfortunes) you can relocate to a remote village without electricity and internet if you are really interested in making sure your kids are not influenced by peers or social media

Don't mind the self-righteous fellow who believes he is better than cross dressers while indulging in so called fornication or adultery.
They should learn to allow people express themselves as they see fit as long as it constitutes no harm to others.

Pay no mind to those hypocrites who think they are better than bobrisky.
The fact that one doesn't agree with his lifestyle doesn't mean he should be arrested when he hasn't caused any harm to anybody.

Most of the people supporting his arrest here do worse than him but they will come up to a public forum to act all sanctimonious.

I like forums like this - it allows people like yourself to state your views and be educated.

1st - “you made a way for yourself” “Nigeria has the highest number of hypocrites” “he has not slept with any guy yet” “how is his life affecting other people’s lives for God’s sake” and bla bla about tax payers money analogy I do not understand and you ended with God’s sake.

So a simple question for you -
In all honesty, would you pray and allow your child to be all what Brobrisky is? Do you wish that for your child?

My views:

This is Africa, precisely Nigeria. There are what we call Social Vices, and crossdressing, rudeness, public display of gayish acts, disregard for authorities etc. Are replete of what Nigeria’s native law and customs generally eschews. They may not be legally wrong, yet, but they are socially wrong. And because He makes money from it does not make it right. You cannot legitimise a social vice just because it enriches.

Secondly, yes it affects others. You can see that from his many followers like yourself, who, 29 years ago, would have called for his head on a plate. More importantly, our kids on instagram.

And lastly, please don’t use God’s name and brobrisky in the same sentence; except you are praying for him.

You are one of the hypocrites he talked about.
The question you asked above is totally irrelevant.

So because I don't want my child to be a certain way,it now means that everybody who is that way should be arrested? So because i don't want my child to be a drunk, it means everyone who drinks and gets high should be arrested even when they do not destroy public property or constitute harm to others?

The question you should answer is "how has bobrisky's lifestyle affected Nigeria as a country?". How does it contribute to insecurity?

How has your sexual orientation made Nigeria a better place?
It is your type who go around claiming that the level of insecurity in Nigeria is as a result of sin.
You claimed his lifestyle isn't legally wrong, so why support his arrest? You also said that his lifestyle is socially wrong. Please show me a single social law that he has broken?

As a person, I may not subscribe to bobrisky's lifestyle but that doesn't mean I want his right to freedom taken away from him.
Please let's learn to tolerate others even when they are different from us.

shadeyinka:

You joined Nairaland: was it by freewill or Predestination?
You authored this thread: was it by freewill or Predestination?
You replied comments on this thread: was it by freewill or Predestination?

etc

You see TIME as LINEAR: but is it really true?
If time is a CIRCLE LOOP, and you traveled in the opposite direction, would you not see events before they happened?

Suppose time doesn't really even exist in creation! But only finds application between Physical events.

Perhaps I thought I did it of my own freewill but thinking about it again, was it really a choice I had? I mean if a being knew beforehand that I was going to join nairaland at a certain date and at a particular time, what choice then was I left with?

On your other point of time as loop, you are broaching the time-space concept which isn't what we are discussing here and now. Be that as it may, if time was/is a loop, then we as creatures existing within the loop should be able to glean more than a single point of our existence at any particular point in time. I don't think you know what will happen tomorrow, let alone next week. The concept of space time continuum is a favourite of mine but let's push that aside before we give each other needless headaches.

I like your thoughts. But I have some questions.

If God has foreknowledge, why do we need to pray? He already knows the outcome of all things, so prayer would be useless in such case since you can't change the outcome, either good or bad.

Why do God command Christians to preach to all nations? God already knows the people going to heaven and hell, so why preach to people that are "hell-bent " since God knows that they'll eventually go to hell.

If God knows the end of all things, then this world is just like a movie to him, he knows every of our actions before we take them. Why does he get angry at our misdeeds since he already knows what we're going to do? Example is the case of Noah. God was said to be unhappy with the people he created during the time of Noah, hetc regretted creating them. How can you be shocked by a scene in a movie that you've watched multiple times?

These are pertinent questions deserving immediate answers. I join you in waiting for the reply.

no sir, the fact that he knows what will happen doesnt remove the fact that all the choices you made along the way were all yours.

God knows all the detours you will take and the whole journey, he sees how it will end after it all, how your own choices will bring either honor or dishonor

What are the final destinations of man according to the bible? Heaven or hell, right? Does God know who will make heaven or hell even before we were born? If yes, why then did he bother to create a long route (earth) leading to the destinations he already knew beforehand? Why not just create those he is certain will make heaven directly into heaven and those bound for hell, directly into hell. After all, their choices on earth won't change their destinations anyway.

Freewill? That's a mirage.

Ubenedictus:
foreknowledge doesn't mean foredetermined.

I know for a fact that my mom will always scold a child who steals.... A know this but it doesn't mean I am the person making her scold children. I am not influencing her freewill because I have foreknowledge of her actions.

God knows the end of a matter from the beginning but that doesn't mean he is influencing you or predetermining your choices.

Whatever decision you make His knew from the beginning that you will make them.

All knowing doesn't affect freewill

I appreciate your argument but look at it again. Foreknowledge is to some extent "foredetermined". If Your destination is known already, regardless of your the length of time you spend on the journey, regardless of the number of detours you take, regardless of the choices you make along the way, you will still get to the exact destination. I mean all the choices you made along the way didn't change your destination in the least.

Religion / The Concept Of Freewill Is An Illusion by adahib: 11:07am On Jun 09, 2019
If according to Christianity, God is all knowing, he knew man even before he was born. He knows where man his headed and his destiny. He knows the choices we will make before we even make them. Most importantly, he knows the number of people who will make heaven. He knows all.

Where then lies our freewill? Where lies our right to make choices if our destinies are already predetermined? Regardless of the choices you make, God already knows where you are heading. Take the story of the repentant thief on the cross for instance. God already knew he was going to seek forgiveness in his final moments and as such regardless of how he lived his life, God already knew he was making heaven.

The concept of freewill is an illusion. As humans, we have no freewill. Whatever action you have taken and are going to take is already predestined. No matter what you do, you will end up in either hell or heaven as has been destined already. You have absolutely no say in the matter.

Ofcourse the above submissions are predicted on the fact that God is all-knowing.

You are free to share your thoughts on the matter.

Politics / Re: Zainab's Saudi Drug Case: Suspects Released On Bail, Abike Dabiri Speaks by adahib: 2:16pm On May 02, 2019
MyGeneration:
This story keeps looking like its a scam.

This is the first time Ndlea are catching a suspect and not releasing there pictures on the net. For such a big case that went international yet no single journalist did a press interview with the suspects. Or any of the police officers or ndlea officers that arrested the suspects.

For such a case that went that far instead of the Fg to investigate there past victims to see if they were wrongly accused and killed in Saudi Arabia.

Instead they quickly release them just like that.

My brothers make una check am now something is not right.

I can assure you that if the Saudis decide to go further to investigate the case over here in Nigeria certain powers would make sure they frustrate there efforts.

This is one of the few persons who have seen this scam for what it is. Immediately I heard there was a cartel that tags drug bags to passengers without their knowledge, i began to suspect that something was cooking somewhere. lo and behold, we were told that zainab was wrongly accused and that the real culprits have been arrested. Fast forward a few days after, zainab was released in Saudi Arabia and the arrested cartel members were released on bail. No investigation, no pictures, nothing. For a crime that someone would have gotten the death penalty for, the "culprits" were released on bail just like that. Isn't the northern God a wonderful God?

Believe this administration at your own risk. The useless southerners who serve the north should continue with all their strength but they should remember that when the chips are down, the northern administration will not lift a finger to save them.

Health / Re: Do Doctors' Hippocratic Oath Count? My Experience With A Doctor by adahib: 10:55pm On Sep 01, 2018
OP it's unfortunate what happened to the accident victim and how the doctors responded without proper explanation. for them to turn down payments via bank transfer indicates something. perhaps the patient was too bad for them to handle given their skills and available equipment. They should have explained that to you clearly.

Like people have been pointing out, Nigeria needs a functional health insurance scheme to cover emergency cases especially. That will go a long way in helping most people in emergency situations.

That said, when I read the comments of most people on nairaland, I shudder at the hate and resentment most people have for doctors in this country. Yes, there are some bad doctors but that holds true in every sector and every country of the world. So castigating the entirety of doctors in Nigeria makes no sense. We should ask ourselves, if Nigerian doctors are so bad, why are the clinics always full? why do the same terrible doctors excel so well outside the country? A few days ago, a lady posted how much she detested doctors because they don't spend time with her. while I agree that a doctor should always explain to a patient what is ailing him/her, I totally disagree that a doctor needs to spend the entire day on a single patient. I work in a government hospital that attends to over 10,000 people and others who still come from outside. We are only 7. A typical clinic day can contain over 500 people. We have to see patients in the ward, do surgeries and still take calls. Yet one still expects us to spend an hour on a single patient.

While some of us don't do too well as regards our attitude, most relate perfectly with people. So please let's tone down on this doctor hate. I'm yet to see anyone open a thread about how a doctor saved him or her. Or are we to believe that no doctor in Nigeria has ever saved the life of a Nigerian?

Must we bring tribalism into everything. Payporte messed up big time the way they handled the matter.

the only person who brought in tribalism was cee c. I don't know why we support everything just because it's from someone we adore. someone insulted an entire tribe and you are here talking about another person bringing in tribalism.

If I may ask,how did payport mess up? she is even lucky that payport is very lenient with her. Go and read up on what Coca-Cola did to Ronaldinho just because he took a sip from a Pepsi can during a press conference while he had an endorsement deal with them. You don't disrespect your sponsor no matter what. If she had it all,she wouldn't be there hustling for 45m. Let cee c learn a little respect. It won't kill her.
TV/Movies / Re: #bbnaija: The Dress Is Ugly – Kemi Olunloyo On Cee-c And Payporte by adahib: 11:46am On Apr 04, 2018
I have little problem with cee c's destruction of the dress payport gave her because the dress was a sorry attempt at reproducing the "onyonyo" dress. My problem is with the way she badmouthed another tribe by saying "calabar ko,calabar ni,I am proudly ibo and nothing can change that". what did she mean by that comment? That she believes her tribe is better than any other tribe?
In my opinion,it had very little to do with the looks of the dress but more with the tribe the dress belongs to. That is very wrong and shouldn't be encouraged. Cee c should have been made to serve a form of punishment for belittling another tribe in that manner. The lady is uncouth and poorly trained.
Is she better than the others who wore the dresses of tribes different from theirs?
