Good evening @Justwise, @tutu82, @gizelle37 and all the gurus here. Please read my write up and kindly advise me on the next step to take. This is my story: Submitted visa application: August 1. Biometrics: August 23- Standard. After 30 working days, when I didn’t hear any news, I sent a paid message and I got a reply that a decision had been made. After 35 working days, sent another paid message, I was told that they’ve escalated my case and that I should wait for 15 working day’s from the date of my escalation to get a response. Then 3 weeks ago, I got a BRP mail. Since then, nothing. When it was 50 working days, I sent another mail, they said they have now re- escalated the issue and to wait for a response. 2 days later, I got a decision mail that visa has been approved. What baffles me is that the decision letter was dated August. Since last week that the decision was letter sent to my mail, I’ve been tracking and still at DMC. Please how else can I escalate this matter? I paid for courier and passport has not been delivered yet. Anyone that has been in my shoe before to kindly advise me as I don’t know what else to do. Thank you. |

reflx:Thank you so much. 1. I didn't pay for priority visa. It was purely standard visa application. 2. I forgot to add police report. You have to do police clearance and attach. You should get it the same day in Lagos, all things being equal; or at least the following day. 1 Like |

Dear fellow nairalanders, I've been a silent reader on this group; even before I had the opportunity to apply for tier 2 visa which looked like a mountain lol. Maybe because there was no thread that is specifically for tier 2 visa applications. I came to this forum and asked few questions. I want to share our timeline(me and my wife) to encourage others. Biometrics- 09/10/2017. Acknowledgement mail from Sheffield- 11/10/2017. Decision mail from tls- 24/10/2017. Passports with visa collected on 26/10/2017. I acknowledge God for being ever faithful. I thank Justwise and other people who answered the questions I asked here. God bless you all. NB- We submitted our biometrics in Abuja, went with a lot of documents including photocopies of our previous passports, wedding and other family pictures, offer letter from my employer, evidence of accommodation mail, cover letter etc. They didn't collect them at all the tls office. The only documents they collected were: 1. Front pages of our visa application print out. 2. Valid international passports. Marriage certificate, COS print out l, police clearance and TB certificates were only collected, scanned and returned to us immediately. I was so confused and angry at the same time. I asked them why they didn't allow us to support supporting documents we brought, but the lady that attended to us said that according to the new rule, they didn't need any other thing. I became so worried and to crown it all, the decision was made within 2 weeks of biometrics. What I learned from the whole thing is that, when God says the time to do something is now, no one can say no. I'm so grateful to Him. I pray for all those waiting for their visas too, that you will hear good news too. Amen!! 4 Likes |

I don't know why this is so. Please if you have passed through this process successfully, kindly give one or two advise on what is needed for this application to be successful. I'll like people to share their experience concerning this visa application. Thank you. |

Good evening house. I have a quick question. Please, what is the address to be put on cover letter? Should it be addressed to the consular in Abuja or the Entry Clearance Officer? Thank you. |

Hello gurus in the house, I've been out of the country for one year and few months, working legally in Qatar . I just got job in U.K. and got COS already. I want to apply for visa, pls do I need to still do TB test or I'm exempted for the TB test? N.B- I left Nigeria last year July, came in June for my vacation, went back to Qatar in June ending and came back to the country yesterday to apply for the visa. I'll await advice on this. Thank you. |

Good day my people, please I have a question about cover letter. I just want to apply for my tier 2 visa. Do i need to write a cover letter? If yes, will I type it in the space provided for any additional information online or I will write with ink after printing out my application form? Thank you for prompt clarification. |

Dear great people on this forum, I want to apply for tier 2 visa shortage occupation with my wife as my dependent. We have a 2 year old son, but we do not want to take him along for now. We made the decision because we want to be well settled before we take him there. He will stay with my mum here in Nigeria for now. My questions are: 1. Won't it be a problem that we decided we don't want to take our child with us for now? Won't it raise any eyebrows? 2. Do I need to fill a separate form for my wife, or I'll just mention her in my own form? I'll await your clarifications on these questions. I'm grateful |
