HELLO FELLOW LANDERS. PLEASE CAN UK EMBASSY DENY A STUDENT VISA IF I DON'T HAVE A TOELF?

I HAVE BEEN ADMITTED INTO AN ACADEMY IN UK WHICH IS 1YEAR COURSE [DIPLOMA COURSE] BUT TOELF RESULT WAS NOT REALLY CONCERNED BY THE ACADEMY SO, THEY DIDN'T DISTURB FOR IT BEFORE ACCEPTING ME.

NOW, I WANT TO KNOW IF THE UK EMBASSY WILL DENY ME BECAUSE OF THIS. PLEASE REPLY WITH USEFUL INFO!

curioz: I thought this might help anybody going to submit application at the VFS offices. I was at the Ikeja office to submit my tier-4 application today and I went with my filled forms but to my surprise they told they don't collect hand filled forms again that I have to go and apply online and print out the forms so I had to go and fill a new personal details form online but the Appendix 8 form was hand filled. I finally submitted my application and I have received the sms that my application has been forwarded to the British Deputy High Commission so am waiting patiently for the outcome.

Its going to be success! Do let us know when you collect your visa please... Good luck!!

The 300k is ok but it's not the normal amount required for tourist visa though it all depend on the number of days or weeks you plan to stay in SA. With your 300k, I will advise you to reduce your stay to a week when you fill in your visa form so as to reduce your hotel booking charges and to avoid denial as a result of insufficient fund. Let your flight reservation also cover one week. As for your lump-sum deposit from your aunt, let her write your letter of introduction because she's the one sponsoring your trip and let her attach a court affidavit of sponsorship with her bank statement and her data page. When your visa comes out then you book your ticket to cover the number of days or weeks you really plan to stay.

You keep asking the same question for the past four months, did you abandon your admission from Britiish Academy? what about 150k in your acct? Has your aunt deposited that 200k in your acct now? The answers you seek now have given to you in the previous pages where you asked the same question. Do a flashback on your previous questions here on this thread, you will get what you want.

Thanks anyway but I have abandon the Film Academy because many people on NL said I should dis-virgin my passport first. I must confess to you, I've done lots of research to make it happen but still not working out. All I have now is 300k in my account as deposited by my aunty. All I wanna do is to visit SA for 2weeks all in the name of travelling experience...thats all.
Try and understand my case. If I know better, I won't be coming here to bother you just like others. We see you as one who can give the helpful info and that is why we keep asking questions not to go astray. If am disturbing you, Abeg no vex o.... No vex huh? Bless You!!!

Yes. I used them last Christmas. But remember that Etihad flies to Abu Dhabi and then you travel on their coach to Dubai.

This is really helpful... But please, I need personal help! I'll email you through nairaland email now. Thanks boss!!!

Superbrain: You can get the 30days visa for $110.

Go through TTS. They are an Etihad Airways approved agent . The only condition required would be that you purchase your ticket from Etihad.

See their website details below

Good contribution bro! But please, have you previously used this Company and it works? Or do you know anyone who ever used them and get the visa? Thanks! Thanks!! Thanks!!!

collinsfbi: That is the most frustrating process I have ever seen. After you return to your home country where you applied and paid repatriation, you must wait till your visa expires or you write a letter of cancellation of visa if you are still in possession of a valid SA visa/permit. Go to SA embassy and lay claim with the following documents; original repatriation receipt, your passport, letter of acct details from your bank (though some embassies pay by issuing cheque but I don't know about Nigeria). Besides, there is no specific waiting time in getting pay back as you can be made to wait up to a year. The waiting time is at the discretion of SA Home Affairs and that is one thing I hate most about South African Visa/permit because people who request pay back for repatriation don't get their money back in time and with ease.

Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by bobbyhenry: 7:07am On Dec 30, 2012
collinsfbi: I won't advise you to do that because it will make it worst. You don't need up to 700k in your SOC to apply for SA tourist visa. Does that means you don't have anything in your personal acct? You can't use only your aunty's SOC, if you can try and get up to 150k in your personal account not lump-sum deposit with the 200k from your aunty, then you can go ahead if properly done and arranged as advised in the previous comment.

Bless You Bro!!! I'll follow as advised and instructed... Thanks.

collinsfbi: Of course it be regarded as such but you can still do that provided you have additional fund to support yourself because the 200k will not be enough and your aunty must include personal letter of support addressed to South African High commission explaining your relationship and her support toward your trip indicating a particular amount deposited in your account to support your trip. Meanwhile, she will need to attach if possible her ID/Passport data page to her SOC in support of your application. Note that this process is bound to work if for instance you portray yourself as student supported with evidence.

Oh okay...thanks but one more question b4 I proceed.
What if I transfer at least 700k from her account to my own personal account and submit my own SOC without her own? I'll do it this way...1st week, I'll transfer 350k and 2nd week, another 350k....hope this will help?

Good people of Nairaland,,, please I need your help with this... Some people advice that before I apply for UK or French visa, I need to disvirgin my passport. Now, I have reach the conclusion to travel to SA for at least a month. But my problem now is this, I don't have much on my acc and I want to use my Aunty's bank statement who's sponsoring me. Now, am thinking if to transfer 200k to my personal acc from my Aunty's acc and apply 2weeks after the transfer. And when I apply, I still intend to submit both my Aunty's bank statement and my own bank statement. PLS, MY QUESTION NOW IS THIS-

- Hope this will NOT be referred to as lump deposit?

- Hope I'll have a good chance of getting the visa if I submit both account statements?

Please your advice...

Let me give advice based on the countries I know.
South Korea:
Good country. Easy to get an admission for your kinda course, even scholarship. visa won't be a big issue. But ticket is expensive (about 350,000Naira to Inchon airport). You could spend 10-15$ a day on food. Part-time work available for students. Many Nigerians at Itaewon -downtown Seoul. Possible to marry a local or expat for residency (not quite easy), except say overfine dey worry you. Spiritual congi dey here wella!

JAPAN:
Less discrimination issues. Nice people. Possible to do the course there but no job opportunity after the course. Possible to marry a local if you fine reach mr nairaland. Extremely difficult to get their visa in Nigeria. Housing is expensive. Lots of business opportunity. Food is moderately expensive. Ticket is expensive.

CHINA:
Lots of school for your course; One is shanghai jaotong university. Scholarship is available. Teaching opportunity available. Discrimination issue if you "dudu" well well. Cheap food. Cheap housing. Business opportunity. Avoid Guangdong province; too many issues with the Nigerians and local authorities. Residency is easy.. Na your money. Ticket will cost about 180,000 or more . For china, you no go get " spiritual congi".

UAE:
Some schools are running the course. I doubt if there scholarship available. Forget 'toasting' a local...you wan ...? You fit use your money solve "congi issues"...lol. No hustle for the faint-hearted. Available job opportunity. Expensive housing, except you share. Ticket is cheap (105,000 -rwandair). Visa is easy. Your "owo" fit get you 2 year residency.

SOUTH AFRICA:
Oh, my lovely SA. This country sweet die. Lots of school for your course but no job opportunity. Residency is easy. Visa no be wahala. Other countries visa na wahala; You need permanent residence, which is possible after 5years in SA. Omoge plenty, any color you like. Spiritual congi will never be your portion in SA. Hustle too plenty if you get contact. Housing ranges from cheap to moderately expensive. Food is cheap. Avoid hillbrow. No-Gooders plenty for there.

Thanks! Thanks!! Thanks!!!

It depends on the school location. Abudhabi central is expensive, but the outskirts have moderate housing cost, say 700aed/ month. Food won't be a problem. it's possible to live on 10aed a day if you cook at home. But you have to think of transportation; that's another headache. Better to live near school.

Thanks dear brother!! You're the finest.... I sent an email via nairaland email....please reply!

AbuDhabi is good, but accommodation is expensive overthere; I think about 1200aed/month for a shared room. Cheaper rooms are available, but they wont be upto standard. Try Ajman or Sharjah; they are cheaper in living cost.
Note: Jobs in AbuDhabi pay well

The course is only available in Abu Dhabi not even Dubai....yes! I know the living there is too expensive and this is where my problem lies.

Any advice based on this?

It's easy to get residency in SA, but quite difficult to get a third country visa from there until you have your permanent residence, which requires a five-year residency in SA.
Dubai, you can get a work permit; either by "arrangee" or through direct employment; it will depend on your qualification. It has to be a good qualification. A good job in Dubai opens door to a lot of opportunity: visa to Europe, good life (if u get good job for Dubai or Abudhabi, you no go send Europe and their visa).
If you really want to do a course, there are many countries; but if you want to go hustle then you really have to check the opportunities there. I don't know if France has good opportunity for hustlers to gain employment and residence.

Thanks boss!! I don't wish to stay more than 3months and the course I want to go for in France is available in Abu Dhabi. So, am staying just for 3months.

Bro, getting visa in 9ja is always tricky. Sometimes the travel experience and financial standing might not count. It won't be nice getting a Dubai visa in your passport, only for France not to issue you a visa owing to other reasons. How about doing this course in Dubai or SA, where you are sure of getting a visa?

Bro! I hail...thanks for your contribution. I am still thinking about this just like you know my mind. Thanks wonderfully for your contribution. It helps!!! Much love....
