That's why I say God will judge...Even those claiming they are working for free we can all see some amounts such as N9,000, N6,000, N4,500, N3,000, etc deemed LOGISTICS, LOGISTICS, LOGISTICS oh...voluntary and free indeed... undecided

I honestly would rather see the next post as an update or a way forward for DJ's next post.

We can all pick sides and take apart each others words for scrutiny but to what purpose? To see if that person is talking to us or about us? Is that why we are here? Is someone using another handle or not...will that cure cancer? How will that help DJ or shorten the number of post we have to go through to seive for useful information?

Pls let's just let all these side attraction stop for now. Its good to have light hearted distractions once in a while on such serious threads as this, but we've drawn this last one too long and it isn't light hearted.

Hmmm. Wise words Sir cool

I also undstd wot u explained abt moral ethics etc, bt wot i m saying is dis: she s ready to share d supposed info wt a few pple hu re nt family members o. if she tells one outsider, an info dat shldnt b public then she s nt abiding by any oath.Mayb u can read thru her ysdtay's post. Bt thank God u ve mailed her. I think wt ur maturity u ll b able to close d gap. She may actually mean well, no doubt, bt her approach get as e b. Waiting for an update frm u wen she replies u.

Yeah Ms Tchwinnie, and I still stand by saying she has posted all she needs to say ONLINE. This is an emergency case.

*Luth already diagnosed Cancer since October 2014

*Eruwa Doctor told them not to spend money on him and take him home in November 2014

*Now this Slowcoach hospital finally diagnosed the same cancer after fleecing DJ of over N1M treating TB that is free to treat in Nigeria

THERE IS AN EMERGENCY ON THE GROUND, this is a 26 weeks maximum prognosis, so everything else can wait!!!

Those who claim to be showing the most concern, are the same people bickering at one another, derailing the thread and still begging for the thread not to be derailed.
.
No coordination.
Sadly, people have forgotten that DJ follows d thread too.
.
If we are done helping DJ, lets say it and hands off. Probably close the thread too.
.
But if we care about DJ as much as we claim to, or as much as we did at d very beginning, we would put our differences aside and attempt to coordinate efforts to save a life.
.
The goal from d beginning has been to Save a life.
When did that change?

Thanks for letting us know that stopping people from picking on others for their opinion and telling them to allow others have a say too is called "bickering" where you come from. Loving your definition of coordination too. Thanks AS YOU REMEMBER THAT GOD IS THE FINAL JUDGE.

Thread is still moving on as you can see from the last update and people hanging around are waiting for response to Babyosisi, Olu4life, Twichinnie and Originalsly's query!!! Unless it is a crime to ask questions/expect answers too?

I understand. But I don't think there is any news that can be worse than what we already know...especially from someone that has never visited or tested the patient. Does that mean she knows better than the team of qualified doctors both in Nigeria and abroad?

Have you wondered why she hasn't replied your mail? If it's as urgent as she claimed, why hasn't she replied or told anyone about her fears all these while? Do you know how many mails I sent to her before I got a reply? Says a lot if you ask me.

You have to remember information has been uploaded online since November that DJ came to seek for help, meaning this information is available to ANYONE with an Internet access ANYWHERE in the world, so Emmysexxy does not even have to see or know this patient...when I stumbled on the other thread, I repeatedly kept saying Luth, Luth, Luth...They had already diagnosed malignant ascites, the big C, and prognosis is 26 weeks maximum according to conventional medicine...that result was dated around October 31st. Considering the fact that one of the updates stated that the patient was told he should have come earlier...it will be in bad taste to start calculating how long he has left, since nobody knows tomorrow/we are all temporarily in this world briefly/nobody knows whose turn it is next/ it can be someone stepping out of their front door and getting run over/it could be an healthy person who sleeps and don't wake up again/etc...

So i guess this is the reason this emmysexxy lady feels this is too heavy to put across...and the hospital should have notified the patient much earlier (and to think a couple of originalsly's post in November touched on the need to be careful of Nigerian hospital's underhanded antics)...DJ should continue to stay strong and firmly hold onto that faith he manifested in God when he was told what Eruwa Doctor said and continue to use this faith to cancel all these Doctors' report...for with God nothing is impossible.

Word!!!

Even those that have sworn still made their intentions/suggestions known. Whatever happened to self-confidence.

@DJDOLA, God is with you...now and always. Keep holding on. This too shall pass.

Dr Finn was corrected by Gboliwe in the previous thread, and since then every other Doctor/medical students that wanted to spill was cautioned about ethics...No one has been encouraged to give a prognosis here.

Self-confidence has nothing to do with delivering a bleak sensitive prognosis to a patient ONLINE...all she has been saying is the diagnosis should be revealed or she will reveal it by Monday that just passed..and this hastened the hospital/prompted Tehn to reveal after more than 60 days...which prompted helpful inputs from others with ideas that could help.

I don't know about Medical Schools in Nigeria, but I am 100% sure they have a rigorous higher standard of entry requirements and criteria, compared to other courses so I bet during the course of study, they get prepared how to approach issues around guiding principles, best practice, ethical dilemmas, patient autonomy, moral values, etc and all these would have been ingrained in them from the start...

Trust me I have read her posts on here about 5 times over, and she has said all she can comfortably say. It is very disconcerting for anyone human to give a grim diagnosis/prognosis...I have emailed her as she requested but haven't gotten an answer yet, but I can deduce her apprehension is/was solely centred on the time the hospital was wasting meanspiritedly, time the patient could have used to seek alternative care elsewhere...

something has been fishy right from her very "first" post.
Nobody's making her feel apprehensive, people with no knowledge of anything medical have spoken on this thread, she just has motives that ain't clear to most people, myself inclusive undecided

Have gone through her profile...her "first" post dated November 26th was just one line expressing dissatisfaction that TEHN was slow in updating the house, Sagamite answered her sarcastically that she should hurry and get it herself she responded in her second post that she was not around...WHAT IS FISHY ABOUT THIS?

Or were you referring to her "third" post dated Jan 16th, where she stated that DJ should have been flown to India like Babyosisi suggested because he might have two weeks left and they need to act fast How many weeks maximum does even the western world Conventional Doctors give people with Malignant ascites!!! Hence reason Tehn is talking "palliative"...And since then she talked about seeing the relatives in distress and also mentioned that he is the breadwinner...all these can be easily verified, especially the part about him supposedly being the breadwinner na!!!

I had a similar "oh shite" moment on December 15th when it dawned on me that DJ had been in the hospital since November 15th, where the Doctor has narrowed the underlying aetiology of the malignant ascites to liver disease/Advanced Retroviral disease/abdo TB/Cancer. They ruled out liver disease and retroviral within days, Cytology detected cancer cells, Colonoscopy detected a mass, yet they repeatedly brushed all these aside to only treat TB and CT scan that should have been done by day 3, result came out yesterday, day 65 (Mercure Hospital CT scan results comes out day 2, TB treatment is "apparently" free in Nigeria under DOTS scheme...)and it was the fact that I remembered that from the documents DJ updated that Luth had already diagnosed malignant ascites/cancer around end of October 2014 that made me more uncomfortable to say that time which DJ didn't have was being grossly wasted by this hospital the way they were deliberately delaying investigation of cancer...

Hmmm, maybe it is because of the way a fully fledged qualified Medical Doctor such as Babyosisi/Babymama1 was attacked and rubbished, is what is making Emmysexxy apprehensive and unable to compose herself, because she feels she might be ripped to shreds as a "medical student"!!

It is well...

I don't know the girl from Adam, paid her private university fees that she had used to settle medical bills at the hospital out of my good heart, told her to keep this a secret because I don't donate openly because the Bible condemns this, and I directed a couple of kind hearted Nairalanders who wanted to donate to the girl to mail Tehn and get their account details to donate to them directly for accountability purposes...Tehn's rep misconstrued this info and started insinuating that they can't give out their coin-laden bank account details because I might be a scammer...so I had to stick my spiky boots far up their ar'se...

I tried so hard not to comment on this thread, especially with how things had turn out, insults and fighting like APC against PDP, while they are all same Nigerians being controlled by same clueless leaders.
While you made a great point, I disagree with the bold part, though, disagree with more, but the bold stood out for me.

Would you agree that this young man might not have kmow what is happening to him till today if the ThEn never got involved? Many are dying like chicken in our run down health care system all cos they can't afford the scan and check up and all that, so if many MUST wait to know what kinda sickness it it, then the name of this TheN might as well be changed and just be in the business of donating caskets.

Inasmuch as they could have dine more, I think they deserve everyone's praise,
their prsence and that of God opened some doors to the young man.

I duff my hat to some individuals as well that worked behind the scene and yet not a member of TheN...... I am proud to be a Nigerian and our future is bright, to all donors, God bless you and to those that wished to give but couldn't, God will provide and to those that did leg work, finger work, God be with you all.

To the young man, you will live and not die..... once next step is known, Fhemmmy motors and the management will be part as well.

But neither Red101 or anyone on this thread or the previous one has ever said TEHN does not deserve praise, "nor" was any one of the numerous fights that transpired here "about" TeHN!! So rhetorically "speaking", why can't we wait till this "critical case" is over "first"?...

Just stating this because I was one of those caught up in those fracas which I couldn't make head or tail of, because all I only came to state was that this hospital was haemourraging money and time that DJ doesn't have, Babyosisi/Babymama1 felt he should go to India for diagnosis and treatment...and "if" I have any issue with TEHN, I would definitely not deal with it on "this" thread/platform...

So, we don't really have a rough estimate on how much it will take to get this brother out to India/US or somewhere better? I am sorry but I am of the old school block who believe in miracles. I strongly do believe also that if we can have a united front, we can look back at today and just go speechless in thanksgiving.

So, I would suggest that the fund-raising starts again. The politicians won't help us now (not like they had) because they are all too busy with their campaigns, so they are ruled out. Any ideas on how we can raise something really substantial? Atleast let it be said that we covered all options.

With regards to your first paragraph, "every" information you require has been provided in the updates/responses by Jaybee...stuffs about treatment cost circa N4M, targeted Chemo offered in Nigeria likely to be same in India, etc

Re, your second paragraph, "again" if you go through Jaybee's update you would see info about a caveat emptor/diagnosis now being investigated in New York...the Politician gentleman after personally phoning DJ, posted a promise to chip in following a "final diagnosis" being gotten...yes it's been 66 nail-biting days investigation started on the patient at this hospital, but fingers crossed a miracle would happen and New York hospital will give him a clean bill of health certificate with the good news that he is healed and free...amen.

johnsammy16:
Hi Nairalander,

I sincerely require your mature view on this.

I am 28 years old handsome looking and employed young man. But i have this contention about relationship for a while now and i need your comment. I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for almost 18months. She is a virgin and she loved to remain like that until she gets married, i agreed with her decision even though i am not one. All along she has been a friend, sister and mother to me. She loves me so much and sometimes i get scared and wonder why i have deserved such love from her. She works too (a banker). Our relationship is so deep that both parent likes us and appreciate us. She is homely and a description of what men calls complete 6yards (good girl). I intend to propose to her when am ready. But something happened, she just came to me someday she think its time she get married. She want us to get married within the next 6months unless i am gonna loss her. Ofcuz, she has other men that likes her and ready just to marry her almost immediately. She is 27yrs old and the plan i have for her is still not yet time. I planned about a year and a half time we gonna get married. It has been on for a while and has been affecting the attachment gradually knowing am not ready. Now my question is Do men just decide to get married because a girl is in love with you and you just don't want to loose her? Most people she talks to feels am not serious but i explained to her am trying to fix things that will make the marriage convenient for her and also till am ready to handle the responsibility of marriage. Do i let her go because she cannot wait or just rush into it?

Please i only need matured views. Not your sympathy or abuse.

It's one thing for you not to be ready, it's an entirely different ballgame for her to threaten you with 6 months ultimatum because she has other men chasing her, tschewww.

My two cents - delete her number OR let her know you have other admirers willing to wait 18 months till you are ready too cool
