Gazzuz, please do you know anyone who can satisfactorily repair a rack and pinion ?
Autos / Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by dejidotun2000(m): 11:17am On Sep 15
Very clear
GAZZUZZ:

most times front suspension noises from the corrola 07-11 are caused by the steering rack. It is often misdiagnosed.

That is what I mean.

I hope all is clear now?

But you told someone on the uber thread who complained that his Toyota corolla strut failed to check the steering rack.

"Front struts and engine mounts do not wear out at once, wear is progressive.
Your engine mounts and struts were not destroyed by new driver.
Meanwile from experience the struts of your veicle hardly fail, look in the direction of te steering rack.
Good luck."

GAZZUZZ:

not possible.

Great Gazzuz. please explain how a faulty rack and pinion can cause a strut to fail. Thanks

They do sell retail. I have bought from their Opebi outlet and their Alaba outlet. I don't know if they have the particular model you want in stock.

Contact them via

As far as I am aware Yinglee does not sell for retail market except through approved installers.

Can the forum share contact details . I am looking for double sided panels since last two months ( the LG ones are 130 K each for 300 watt) and Solarworld seem to have vanished from market

Yingli also has Bifacil panels and is Global leader in twincell

I am looking for - http://www.yinglisolar.com/en/products/monocrystalline/panda-bifacial-60cl/

Quote from - http://www.eco-business.com/news/why-two-faced-solar-panels-are-a-bright-idea/"

Yingli’s bifacial modules, known as the TwinMax series, were launched last year, and are made using the company’s special technology, known as Panda cells. These use phosphorous, rather than boron, to treat the silicon so that it can conduct electricity by up to 10 per cent more efficiently than others."

What is the source of the Yingli panels being sold in Nigeria that you heard is substandard ? I am aware that Yingli have a sales outlet at Opebi and Alaba. I wonder if such outlets could be selling fake Yingli panels. I bought two panels from them and they are working just fine.
mcci:

I've not used it but have my doubts about genuine Yingli panel availability in Nigeria.

I recently considered it but on further investigation I realised what is been sold in Nigeria is of questionable quality not genuine Yingli.

Even the datasheet document appears to be fake when compared to the original.

My conclusion is double check any panel been sold to you because there more substandard panels in Nigeria than genuine ones

I use Kung long , 150AH*2 . I have had it for about 8 months now. My inverter is set to shutdown at 23v (11.5v ), on very rare occasions - maybe about 6 times - has my inverter ever shut down. My load is usually less than 100 Watts and never more than 200 Watts for more than 6 so I am treating the battery quite gently. All in all, it still works.
brightk:
I am looking for a reliable deep cycle battery.. i have full river in mind but dont know its origin if its a US, UK, Indian, China, Tawain battery.. Please recommend base on experience and origin... someone is advertising this kunglong battery.. Has anyone used it?

Properties / Re: Mortgage Institutions: Share Your Own Bitter Experience? by dejidotun2000(m): 5:46pm On Aug 15
I wonder if you eventually sailed through with your application.
chioma134:
Primary mortgage institutions usually have their own housing projects, and u can only benefit if u're buying from them. The loan processing is shorter as approval is easier. NHF loan does not fund land acquisition, but houses,so if u don't have an allocation letter for a house and can't prove the existence of the house, you're on your own. U can access a maximum of 15 million, and u must have equity contribution(30% of the cost of the house) in ur mortgage account b4 the loan can be accessed. Of course, there has to be a way for the bank to collect monthly deductions, hence the request for salary accounts to be domiciled with them, unless they have an arrangement with ur employers to deduct from source. The loan cannot be given to you,but will be paid to the property developer handling ur project.
NHF loans are real. You just need to know the nitty gritty of it so u can access it without stress. I'm currently in the process of getting one.
And just to add, this is one good thing GEJ has done for the masses.

I believe the mustpower hybrid inverter will more than comfortably power the load you listed. I used a 1kva hybrid inverter to power a 160l fridge(120w), 2 ceiling fans, 10*30w cfl, and 29" led TV without any issues. The inbuilt mppt charger controller seems to be inefficient though.

Good morning house. Please does Epever Tracer3210A have any relative advantage over Fangpusun MPPT100/30A. I realize that they are both mppt cc and that the Epever has a screen while the Fangpusun requires an external display. Is there anyone here who has used both and can make informed comments about their real life performance. Thanks

What is your basis for assuming that any one service or commodity in Nigeria(Lagos) should cost 10 percent of what it cost in France(Paris).
jarkbauer:

I can never compare the two in real times but such should at least cost 10% in Nigeria

Downlaod watchpowe4 1.10 and service pack 1 - Service pack 1 ( optional user manual also if you want )

http://www.mppsolar.com/manual/Watchpower%20(off-grid)/

After connecting cable open watchpower in admin mode ( shift + right click) Let it idle for 1-2 minutes to find the inverter . The inverters should pop on the left hand side denoted by USB xxxxx serial no.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dejidotun2000(m): 4:20pm On May 24
Both of my inverters have a USB "B" type port. I connect the inverter to my laptop (I have tried 3 laptops) with the USB cable provided(I have tried 3 USB cables), Windows detects and installs the inverter but watchpower software doesn't detect anything.
pranil:

Yes both all type of connections, Serail , USb and even connected to my remote display unit no issues . Can confirm that Zinox also uses it at many locations

Are your inverters serial ( the cable is like network cable at inverter end and DB-9 -9pin Serial )

The you will need a genuine Serial to USB converter - in My experience the prolific PL 2303 chipset works without problems .

See the link

For inverters after 2016 they are both serial and USB - Use the cable that came with inverter

I have a similar experience. I never see more than 270watts even at midday with 600watts installed capacity. Wiring and panels checked out fine too.
durodee:

My instantaneous harvest on the inverter from a 1.4kw thin film panels usually range from 500-700watts compared to 1.2-1.4kw when i was using a standalone 60amp EPsolar MPPT CC. Almost worse than a PWM CC.
I horribly busy lately with no time to tweek my system otherwise................. By the way, i have checked my wiring, nothing loose!

My 1kva unit very conveniently powers my fridge (130w) plus two cieling fans (150W) and 6*30W CFL as well at 29inch led tv. My 3kva also conveniently power my scanfrost microwave oven. I have a sneaky feeling about the inbuilt mppt too though.
kiekie1:

You are right .. I have a client who used same ipower 5kva 48v and complained a lot after working on the FETs on 3 occasions .. He concluded its not really a pure sinewave power inverter since he keeps having issue's using submersible water pump, aircon unit, microwave etc on it .. He also complained the inbuilt solar controller wasn't as efficient as external mppt unit . He simply upgraded the inverter to a transformer based pure sinewave, 60a mppt, more units of 300w solar modules as he is almost offgrid and needs some appliances running whilst mppt is absorbing-floating ...
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dejidotun2000(m): 7:36am On May 24
I have two units of the ipowerplus; a 1KVA model and a 3KVA model. The 1kva model has an idle consumption of 20W. I'll test the 3kva today and give you the value.
bigrovar:
Has anyone here who uses any of the Axpert series of Inverters be it ipowerplus or Gennex been able to ascertain the idle consumption of these units?

Of course the xcent is a smaller car and gets more mileage but the Rav4 with 1az isn't bad, it's better than a camry with 2az.
