They would have mentioned the current percentage of Nigerians with English knowledge. can we have the exempts from the previous census? it is in good faith that we have more than 50% of the country's population that are sound in English. they simply gave a lame excuse |

Education / Canada Study VISA With Name Disparity by gbanikiti(m): 1:26am On Jun 11, 2019 |
I know a lady who just got an admission to a Canadian university for her masters. The problem is this, her international passport is less than 6 months old, she intend to renew it with her maiden name whence the admission letter has her (new)married surname. Will she be denied study visa due to the disparity in surnames? I want someone with experience to assist please. And how long does a renew international passport take for a change of name? |

Literature / The Other Woman by gbanikiti(m): 5:35pm On Aug 20, 2018 |
[center]The Other Woman Ibukun stood firm crying her eyes out beside his grave Wailing, covering her face with her scanty shawl trying to be brave He had promised her marriage but as a second wife His death has pierced her heart, like a dismantled knife He was to mark his 52 year birthday this December Ibukun was only 21 but true love knows no number They were three decades apart But true love crossed their ecstasy path As the six able bodied men lowered him six feet She removed the diamond ring and folded it in her fist Her eyes fixated on the casket Her memory reeled on Cornelius, how he bought her a gold bracelet As the priest voiced boomed across the microphone The cemetery was silent, we could hear an echoed tone A tone from a short, fat woman who was Cornelius’s wife He had 3 sons, Jacob, Eddie and Mike Ibukun knew his family and clubbed with his friends on Fridays He had invited her to his house to mark his 50th birthday She knew the rules, no trespassing around Jealousy pumped within her, she got up strutting in the compound Cornelius watched her peck a guy, flirted and how she was romanced The manner at which she rolled her gait and whined her butts as she danced Seduced every guy at the party and her body to behold She got drunk, nipples pointing, waiting for some erection to hold That night, wriggling beneath the bedsheets he poured his rage He took her without pre-intimacy, without kisses, and thrusted with rape With every moan he offered his heart She cried and cried yet there was no tag to hate As the grave was heaped with red soil and cemented Long after everyone had gone and departed She held her pregnant stomach crying and wailing Mourning another woman’s husband. Culture / A Poem Composed By Richard ..... Heritage by gbanikiti(m): 12:10pm On Mar 09, 2018 |
HERITAGE In time take time while time doth last Those times we had long past the sands of time Our stopped wall clock once told the history in green The swinging pendulum telling how long time has passed We were there in those times When we lit our firewood with molten stones We tied our gele around our waist dancing at the village square When Okonkwo decided to save his shillings from the sales of his father’s land We were there in those times When we could tell the times from the rising of the sun Played around the trees with different pair of slippers We then tune our TV stations by 4 and chorused our National Anthem We were there in those times When we were taught with faded chalks on a charcoal board When our right hand could touch our left ear before we could get into school Wandered through the bushes looking for Cashew nuts and bush meats We were there in those times When we gained independence With our unity in diversity and cultural naturalization Wearing green white green We were there in those times When we could mould basket from canes in North When we could fry our groundnuts with firewood and sand in the South Lit our lanterns with coals from Enugu We were there in those times When Nigeria won the Africa Nations Cup in 1980 and 1994 When we had Gold in football at the Olympics in 1996 And played our first World Cup in 1994 We were there in those times When we rode our rickety bicycles from Edo to Ondo When we rode our wooden canoes from kwara to Kogi And had our first Car ride from Lagos to Ibadan In those times You had wondered where we were We were where we were We are xxxxxxxx Our times can tell The timeless xxxxxx xxxxxxx…. let A represent suitcase B represent tabloid C represent books A + A = 20, Therefore A = 10 A * B = 20, therefore B = 2 C / B = 10, therefore C = 20 A - B * C = ?? substituting, 10 - 2 * 20 = ??, BODMAS rule 10 (-2*20) = ?? 10 (-40) = ?? 10 - 40 = -30. answer 2 Likes |

Education / Re: You Are A Genius If You Have The Solution To This Equation. by gbanikiti(m): 4:28pm On Apr 05, 2015 |
Sum of three odd number can't be an even number , is a simple secondary school mathematics . However on specific assumption we can reach to a solution . We all work out numerics in decimal numeral system , here I am taking an assumption of working out this problem in Numeral system with base 9 (radix=9) . So in our base 9 numeral system 1=1 3=3 5=5 7=7 9=9 11=1*9^1 +1*9^0 =10 13=1*9^1 + 3*9^0 =12 15 = 1*9^1 + 5*9^0 = 14 30 = 3*9^1 + 0*9^0 = 27 So our problem becomes : __ + __ + __ = 27 where __ can be filled by 1,3, 5,7,9,10,12,14,27 which leads us to the solution 1 + 12 + 14 =27 . Now we transform our solution back to the base 10 notation : 1+13+15 =30 , where 1 ,13,15,30 are taking its numeric value according to base 9 numeral system . 1 Like |

There's nothing wrong with it if you ask me. We live in 2different cultures with the western world, it sounds like a taboo here no doubt. My sisters change infront of me or leave the bath door widely open, all I real did was to walk out of their presense or feign ignorance *laughs*. With time the 13year has gone so used to it that he will start seeing unclothedness as normal, you guys are the ones seeing it as abnormal. Picture going to miami beach, there are a lot of ladies br@less and topless, just a little gstring that reveals their butts there in. In say in guinea where they got a festival where ladies walk unclad on a particular day on the street and in swahili where bra don't move market because they are keen on the below area. When you get to such places, with time you adapt and tends to seem normal. Every family got its own stroke. |
