Abi, it's still good to educate the ignorant populace on the danger of such a folly.
Hubris is good but some people might take such advice and find themselves behind bars for years with their vehicles impounded and auctioned off.
Then the same masses would go online and still complain of govt high-handedness.

It is well o!!

Get unripe plantain..the green hard ones.
Get that white 2L plastic jug.
Remove the plantain from the peel and cut it till it fills 1/2 of the jug.
Pour clean water till it fills 3/4.
Leave space for gas expansion.
Let it soak for 3-4 days and drink half a cup (normal size)every day preferably in the morning and evening.
In 2-3 weeks you'll get significantly better..
Keep drinking and topping with water till the plantain dissolves completely.
Repeat the process twice .
By then the ulcer would be healed..

Politics / Re: Three Marketers To Import 141 Million-Litres Of Petrol by HenryWilliams(m): 6:38am On Sep 18
Emeskhalifa:
I watched a video yesterday and it explained that why the Dangote fuel is expensive is coz what he is selling to NNPC is the one he imported, that once he started selling the one NNPC gave him, price will go down, I do not believe that entirely though but it's logical, you don't expect Aliko to run his business at a loss.

Blame the stupid people we've had at the helm of power all these years who couldn't build a single functional refinery all these years.
Bunch of failures with stupid lies and gullible supporters

If you believe this.. you were probably born yesterday.
Fuel prices will never go down regardless where it's refined.
NNPCL will keep fixing prices and it's gonna go up.
Even the independent marketers..if they import they will also follow NNPLC pricing. So you can see.. nothing is truly "independent" in the petroleum sector.

Dangote Refineryā€™s gantry price is $0.55/liter. At forex rate of N1,637/liter, a liter of pms becomes N898.

Just imagine forex rate at N500/$. This same pms will sell at N275/liter. At N800/$, it will be N440/liter.

Our problem is forex rate.

Werin concern forex with PMS refined locally?

It's the basis of the corruption..
The under recovery Subsidy shite
That's the sole.reason NNPLC is alive.
Petrol pricing is their salvation and their damnation all rolled in one.
They can't allow Dangote sell at his own price. If he does, everyone will immediately see how NNPLC has been ripping Nigerians off for decades ,stealing trillions of dollars alongside corrupt marketers.
Dangote Refinery was to be the crack in their armour, they quickly ran to infiltrate and corrupt his business, enmesh him in controversy, now the public doesn't trust him..to most he's just as bad as NNPLC, something the govt so desires..now he can't state categorically how much it takes to refine and sell one litre of PMS. It has become so complicated and political..that's why this show of shame continues..a whole country is being ridiculed across the globe due to the greed of NNPLC and the govt is so deadened to the shame and embarrassment..the populace can only shake their heads as they swallow the insults from the international community.
Pricing that should be one of the easiest tasks to do has turned into a Herculean task in Nigeria.

Excess petrol is not even in the picture yet because others, including the relatives of Alhaji Dangote, still import.

This is a milestone and I believe that other issues that come up along the way will be resolved in the patriotic interest of Nigeria and business imperative of all the stakeholders.
What we should avoid is a monopoly and scarcity not excess petrol that can be easily exported to even earn more forex.
Remember that NNPCL is a significant part owner of Dangote Refinery. Most of you keep forgetting this fact.

The territories once occupied by Assyria and Babylonia are part of modern-day Iraq, Syria, Turkey, and Iran.

Politics / Re: Ebute Meta History: As At 1867, Lagos Monarch Complain Of Congestion by HenryWilliams(m): 6:24pm On Sep 12
Biodun556:
DID YOU KNOW ( History Of Ebute Metta)

There is a very rich history behind the ebute metta town in Lagos that a whole lot us are not aware of.

The construction of the lagos rail terminal situated at Ebute Metta gave birth to the idea behind me digging deep to find out more about the historical town.

You will be amazed what I dug out from my findings in the this little piece of article.

Ebute Metta is known for the production and sale of local food and cloths. It is a very old part of Lagos, many of its houses were built during the colonial era using Brazilian architecture.

Ebute Metta is part of the Awori Kingdom of Otto. Its capital is at Otto just before Iddo on the way to Lagos Island. Ebute Metta means ā€œThe three Harboursā€ in the Yoruba language. This was in reference to Iddo, Otto and Oyingbo. In the olden days the king, Oba Oloto of Otto, controlled these harbours and had his agents collecting taxes from ships bringing goods to Lagos by way of them.

In 1867, there was a great tension between the Christian community and adherents of the traditional religion in Abeokuta which was on the verge of snowballing into a sectarian crisis. On the eve of departure of some European missionaries from Abeokuta, the native Christian converts ā€“ fearing that the dominant traditionalists would descend on them in the absence of their European proctectors ā€“ begged the Europeans to take them along to Lagos.

On getting to the colony, the European missionaries went to the king of Lagos to ask for him to allocate land for the Egba Christians from Abeokuta. In response, the king said Lagos Island was already filled up and he couldnā€™t afford to give the little available land to the Egba people. Instead he suggested that the Colonial Governor, John Hawley Glover, contact his brother Oba, the Oloto, whose territory was located just across the lagoon.

Governor Glover approached the Oloto, who agreed to give the Egbas a large tract of land from Oyingbo (Coates Street) to somewhere just before the lands of Yaba begin (Glover Street, where LSDPC Estate was later built about 130 years later).

These Egba Christians ā€“ some of whom were Saros and Amaros ā€“ then formed a community which they called Ago Egba, the Yoruba for ā€œEgba Campā€. They built their church, St. Judeā€™s Church, schools to educate their children, and trading concerns, and they divided the land into streets which were originally named after their European missionaries and colonial officers. The streets were also named after some of the Egba chiefs like Oloye Osholake. Thus we had Denton Street (since renamed Murtala Muhammad Way), Griffith Street, Freeman Street, King George V Street (since renamed Herbert Macaulay Street), Cemetery Street, Bola Street, Osholake Street, Tapa Street and Okobaba Street.

These Ebute Metta people went on to form the first set of civil servants in Nigeria. After the amalgamation of 1914 and the construction of railways, Ebute Metta became a great destination for many people coming from the hinterland to Lagos, many of whom couldnā€™t get accommodation on the Island (reserved for only the Europeans and upper class Nigerians).

The Ago Egba people in Ebute Metta constructed the Lisabi Hall which was commissioned in 1938, by which time their third generation descendants had become the engineers, technicians and stationmasters of the Nigerian Railway Corporation with stations and offices nearby.

Ebute Metta has a number of notable buildings including the Nigerian Railway Corporation headquarters, the post office, St. Paulā€™s Catholic Church, the Oyingbo Market, a major bus terminal, Foucos Secondary School (a school built by the former minister for education), St. Saviourā€™s School, Junior Strides Academy, Ajayi Memorial Hospital, Ijero Baptist Church Nursery and Primary School, Ebute Metta Health Centre, Federal Medical Centre Ebute Metta ,and shops of all types. Ebute Metta is divided into two main areas: Ebute Metta East and Ebute Metta West.

Prior to 1947, developed areas include Ebute Metta which encompassed Ijora, iganmu, Costain, Oyingbo all the way to Sabo Yaba etc.
Lagos Island all the way to Falomo..rest was swamp until FG started to drain and build on the island called Victoria.

[quote author=casualobserver post=131951081]Every day INNOSON will introduce a new model, instead of them to focus on 1 or 2 and gain market share and economies of scale.

Dealership they donā€™t have, service center they donā€™t have, adverts they donā€™t have, every day introducing new model. I am sure they have more models than Mercedes that have been manufacturing since 1900.

Focus on 1 or 2 and be the go to brand for that niche, focus on a car that will be the default for taxi drivers/Uber and sell 30,000 a year. Focus on being the default for intra city or inter city buses and sell tens of thousands a yearā€¦noā€¦..every day new model that we never see on the road. How can they gain traction if there is no brand awareness because nobody sees your cars on the road? Everyday we see GAC on the roads in Lagos, because they signed a deal with Lagride, it gives consumers confidence seeing the cars on the roads, now we are seeing Provately owned GAC cars. But we never see INNOSON because you will introduce 1 model every week and most Nigerians will never see that model if they drive the 4 corners of the country. Who is going to buy a car he doesnā€™t see from dealers that donā€™t exist from a company that doesnā€™t advertise?[/quote
