Good evening everyone
I actually seek advice about what to do when u begin to doubt your salvation amongst other things.
Praying is quite difficult cuz I'm not even sure God'll hear. I've read the scriptures but I haven't gotten any thing solid.
Pls Humbledbygrace I dont know if I can send u a private message.
Thanks in advance
Hi dear.

In all honesty, every Christian goes through stages that most people do not want to discuss but make it as if its all Rosy while it isn't.

I've had my fair share of those, and one thing I can say to you is don't beat yourself up about it.
It will pass.
What I'd suggest you do is to quit telling yourself that you feel like you don't believe anymore, because the more you do, the more you are giving the devil space to do as he pleases in your life. When you pray, don't start with seeking but start by thanking God for little things you were able to do on daily basis and when you look back, you will realize that God hears our prayers.

I am sorry for being away for so long, yes you can send me a message.

Everything will work out.

Good morning brethren. I know we've all moved on to better things, levels don't change for all of us.

But it is bad when we stop checking on one another like we used to. We said we loved each other, but have actually stopped caring. I am saying all this because of guilt, I had been too consumed in my own stuff I stopped I lost track of what others were going through.
That said, dagr8 is no more with us gentle souls. He is resting on the bossom of Jesus Christ. Leaving behind a son and a wife. As friends, sisters and brothers in Christ, it would be nice to pay our respects to his family.

Ujsizzle, An0nimus, Seyibrown, Superbloke, Reyginus, Ada, Bella, Muskeeto, Mintayo, Ihedinobi and yetseyi.

Those who are still around please pass the message on because I know most of us have left Nairaland. Those I forgot to mention their names, please we all knew dagr8, let us all hold hands together, for the sake of the Gospel we stand for.

Thank you.

Music works for me.

As I type and write, earphones plugged to my ears, music on low key... I type away...

I like a serene environment too. No noise of any kind, fresh cool breeze coming from the window, full stomach... I cant write with an empty stomach. I will be distracted... seated on the bed or a comfortable chair, thoughts in sync with my fingers and I speed away...

I get most of my inspiration from my immediate environment, past and present experiences, the lifestyle of family, friends, neighbors and strangers ...

I read too and watch a lot of romantic movies, plus action thriller series films...

And I must not forget my special mug of hot lipton tea, creamed with milk... plenty milk and sweetened with sugar.

Then, by all means, finish the story offline, put it in a pdf, and sell it if you like. We the readers are ready to buy.You should understand that most readers also want the best for you lot because we know it's not easy. Personally, there are some stories I have read on here and I'm like "this story is too good to be here for free". I'm not trying to castigate anybody, I just want the best for everyone (Writers and Readers).
Thanks

None of the writers begged anyone to read?... Really? That's the route you're gonna take?. If you tell me it's about plagiarism, I will understand that. Some of us readers are ready to pay to read good stories. I can't count the number of books I have bought on Okadabooks. If you feel your work being plagiarized is the reason you dont want to continue a story or writing on NL, fine, no problem. But at least have the courtesy to show readers where to get the full story even if it means paying for it. A writer did that in sexuality section and everyone was happy. Don't gimme that line of "writers didn't beg anybody to read". After all it's the same writers that will complain if readers don't comment on their stories.

Personally, I feel all writers should use NL as a stepping stone. Gather your readership from here, then establish yourself by either self publishing or opening a monetized blog. Trust me, many of us readers are ready to pay for your books if you're good.
Maybe I came out harsh butmost of us cannot work so hard and then there will be nothing to do about it because the stories have been plagiarised.

This is big. Nairaland seems better, what ever gets to the net is now being plagiarized.
I have some of my works on Naijastories. Some weeks ago, I decided to find their titles on google and I saw my stories on other sites. Even on silverbird television blog.
Seun Osewa has tried to curb plagiarism by making sure you can't copy with a laptop but till date the human brain will always find another way to get what it so desires.

That said and done. We'll keep digging out ways this can be done. But for now, let's make this place lively..
Bring in more sponsors and have no need to post full stories here. This place should be a haven for literature lovers, a training ground....A place we can all build a family of Nigeriatop writers. The old men and women have tried but we should build the future.

They all tell us about their era, but who's going to tell us about this era too, and tell coming children if everyone stops writing.

Over time, though not all the time, many of those who stops writing online find it hard to continue writing offline.

Congrats Divepen.

Like I said try to bring life to the section without bias like some of us did. You don't want to be called hitler or Gadaffi and all those ugly names.

And to the op who has an issue with unfinished stories, tough luck. None of the writers begged anyone to read and they took thier time to actually come up with a good story.

Besides Seun allows anyone to post anything here so who gave anyone a right to delete peope's stuff? Do you know how long it takes to produce a good story? Maybe some of us should start writing.

Merry Christmas everybody on the thread kiss

Vickyrotex thanks for the verses and the boundless love lyrics

Hello everybody
Happy boxing day to everyone on the thread, missed the Christmas cookies.

Truth is we all have grown up, we don't seek what we were seeking here anymore. We don't need the companionship we were hungry for four years ago.

Some got married, started families and there is alot going on than thinking about being on a faceless forum wishing upon dreams. That said, it is very ignorant of those who were the foundation of this thread to just walk out of it, we are way too mature for that. I know we don't know each other but we are brothers and sisters in Christ and should hold on to that no matter what. Let us not get our denomitions get the better us, let the truth from the Word of God lead us.

Let us do it this way, how about a what's up group? Its on our finger tips, that way we can get in touch with each other easily?........Just a suggestion.

@ Vickyrotex thanks for keeping the fire ablaze, keep up the good work beloved.

@Julivas we are all ears.

Hey...
I just read your diary again (can't remember where I'd stopped last year) and I'm happy for you. Particularly the recent update about your marriage and family.

Thank God you didn't give up on Him and on life. Despite having reasons to tread paths of careless drift, you abandoned your life to God and trusted Him. God will continue to uplift you and make you an instrument of praise and testimony in Jesus's name; Amen. Remain Blessed.
So shall it be, Amen.

Thank you Sir

Just popped in to say hello to the wonderful mothers here. Thank you for the love and support you have shown me in my pregnancy and in my post partum. May God fill your Christmas with pure bliss from above. Those who do not celebrate Christmas, its all about being with those we love and those who need our love. Let us all remember that this season is not about us but about reaching out to those in need, giving and showing those who has lost hope in family, love and reconciliation what those three really are.
Remember life and death are at the tip of your tongue, always speak life, speak forth positive things about your life and trust God to do all that He has promised.
