Business / Re: Landmark Reopens After FG Demolished Beach Front Facilities by IMASTEX: 8:44am On May 07
MyVILLAGEpeople:

Glad to know he’s back to business. The government only took the shorelines.
As expected by every serious private business owners.

I really hope this coastal road project gets completed at the stipulated time as planned (because the fear of many is that it might be abandoned along the line like other previous projects).
That is the main cause for concern as govt over the years have proven to act thus, not to mention the looting that will happen with the project through contract over pricing, etc.

If completed, It will also be an economic boast to the coastal towns around those areas where the road will pass through. I’m not a fan of APC or Tinubu but I support this project.
The question is bordering on priority. This project would have make more sense if the existing roads were in good condition and this new one is serving as an alternative. Secondly, shouldn't upgrading & activating the ports along those coaster lines been a better option? Imagine goods are moved from Lagos to the proposed Gelegele port (Benin), Warri port, Port Harcourt & Calabar ports. Do you know the numbers of vehicles that will generally reduce from the existing express way such as business travelers & especially trucks thereby increasing the lifespan of the express road. Not to mention the advantage of decongesting of the already overcrowded Lagos, lower cost of moving goods, opened business activities & increase in employment opportunities, etc.

That is what I believed would have been a better option. I careless of Nigeria political affiliations because they are all the same. So this view is unpolitical

Career / Re: Nigerian Army Dismisses Soldier For Having Sex With Colleague’s Wife (photo) by IMASTEX: 10:11am On May 06
jidowu84:
the bandits has increased by one. its like releasing a wired lion into the public. NA should think
His kind won't wait till they are dismissed before engaging in banditry, it would be easier using the office influence. Don't forget that the NA has rules & the soldier would have had his chance to defend his charge. Except you want the NA to just overlook, then be faced with such issues & worse becoming a pattern in the barracks until soldiers start taking laws into their hands against their colleagues. Increase of mental breakdown, etc..

Politics / Re: Economic Importance Of Lagos Calabar Coastal High Way by IMASTEX: 6:21am On May 02
Ppogbae:
Why is this project receiving so much hate?
Only in Nigeria people quickly make cheap excuse for normal rational behaviors. There is no new Innovation or policy that shouldn't be subjected to a public or private criticism/debate by those in government and the citizens anywhere in the world. It's half education to call criticism/debate hate. The criticism would even be more heated in a country where there have been zero accountability, wrong motive, high level of distrust & total disconnection between the citizens & the leaders.

The hypothesis are:
* There are high chances that the road will be abandoned especially by successor.
* There are high chances that the project will be an avenue for massive looting through various means.
* Why shouldn't the other seaports be fully reactivated, at least it will cost less time & funds instead of using the road to connect them. After all, the main reason road fail quickly is because of heavy vehicular usage on the existing express road.
These and many more are subject of observation.
Politics / Re: Nigeria’s VAT Collection, Lowest In Africa – Tajudeen Abbas by IMASTEX: 8:17am On May 01
This is really bad. Please increase the VAT by 500%. But please don't also forget to increase the ease of doing business with the same percentage. Talking of electricity, good road, security, access to business loan, stable policies, etc. And of course audited report of how the ones previously collected were spent with proves.

Not surprised.

Edo women can be terrible during fight. Their mouth and madness is out of this world. They can disgrace you and themselves to rock bottom in a fight. Best thing when everywhere is getting heated in a quarrel with a typical edo woman is to walk away fast to avoid killing her

RIP to the dead

Phones / Re: Whatsapp Voice Note Is The Best Invention by IMASTEX: 6:50pm On Apr 25
Image123:
Voice notes are a norm in developed nations and in standard work environments. Nigerians are still backwardly struggling to terms with the formality, i understand that. They believe you are not serious if you don't make a GSM call or write them on a letter head. cheesy
Since when what happens as a norm in other countries become a standard for Nigeria? So because other "developed" nations are now into LGTV/Rainbow Nigeria should fall in line or you brand her backward. Technological advancement simplified use in divers ways. Each one with his/her own preference. I either get a call directly even through WhatsApp or you message in writing. I don't listen to voice note, it's my preference.

GanagiBitrus:
For those who can not read & write fluently, Voice Note is a life saver. smiley
That is the major advantage especially where the person is unreasonable on phone.

babyfaceafrica:

What about the children of the dead soldiers? Will they look at the bigger picture?
Is there any job without it's hazzard? What did their fathers signed? Moreover, what happened to inviting the leaders of the two parties in dispute by the brigade commander to the barracks if the move was to settle them. This is assuming the police who's core duty was to do so have failed. Do you think a mere community boys could have the boldness to carryout such assault? If they did what could have triggered such move? And who could have emboldened them? I am not in support of those that attacked them, neither will I support the military invading and taking out random people including women & children.
Let's pretend that the numerous ones including ranking officers been killed in the North are not special. Like I said earlier, the more you look the less you will see.

It's now obviously becoming a game unfortunately few will continue to pay the price. The better chance to pick things unnoticed is to come in the dark, either by switching-off the light or wait for nightfall. Naija, the more you look the less you will ever see.

OMBIIGA:
Let us be very cautious with our comments. Miracle it self is God supernatural intervention in human affairs.
It's behind logic and human understanding!!
God doesn't need any human either to promote miracle especially pinning His wonder to any individual or denomination. Christ & others in the Bible days performed verifiable miracles which led to the massive follower-ship. The man born blind was well known, etc. What people are saying is that such kind of miracle should naturally go viral through the hospital. Recently, a US man married a conjoined twin with two heads. It was the media that blow the amazement not some few circle under any form.
I believe in miracles & I know God do answers prayers especially the one said by yourself in faith.
