The bolded was not explicitly stated but they indicated that NAOC (and a few others) was having an impact on the Group's Financials mainly because their partners AND NNPC were owing / not fulfilling their part of the agreement.
Some other reasons for their exit were also stated (see attached SC)... wink

May I also add that IOCs pay attention to work place ethics and working conditions.
They are compelled to pay premium insurance to get their staff to work in highly volatile areas/countries.

One of Eni’s oga at the top told me theft and cost of securing onshore assets was a great compounder of issues that necessitated the divestment

Yes, I read it somewhere and I have also observed it time to time during my trading. I go dey number 5 for queue for stock on full bid but I will receive before number 1

What if the orders were placed at the same time (rounded to minutes) and the execution order is based on a tiebreaker rule such as,
Time of order,
Probability of order being fully executed

To the sane man , the mad man is mad but to the man man the sane man is mad grin.

The highest form freedom still remains madness because in that state there is no societal chains or rules in his mind grin

So every state is necessary in this world

In saner climes, it's certainly free to display madness but such freedoms only ever result in perpetual lock down

What will multiple wife afford you, why is it necessary?

if God have to wait till AD 500 to promulgate this into law, I mean a lot of generation of mankind have to be appeased.

Just to be clear, i’m anti polygamy!!!

To answer your question, the sura was given at the time when they engaged in constant wars which obviously resulted in widowers and orphans. Considering men was also the main/only breadwinner at the time, it made sense for this widowers to be paired by responsible men would could afford and follow the just conditions

However, times are different and selfish religious people are often comfortable taking doctrines out of context or ignorantly falling to evolve their ways in line with current realities

I guess to satisfy the equal loving part, the incoming wife needs to collect too. With a third wife queuing up right behind equally chopping beating and so on.

Anything else is going against that doctrine as that is the "loving" template based on wife number one.

Even the 72 virgins waiting in the after life must collect.

Loving doesn’t equate to sex

It’s almost impossible to love two or more people equally. We all have preferences. Hence, the reason why some Muslims disregard the condition whilst focusing squarely on their ability to afford it

Desire and compliance are two different things.

Absolutely no point in desiring something you won’t be fully compliant on. As a Muslim, i’m an advocate for Monogamy

Muslims are only allowed to marry up to 4 wives if they can afford it AND love them equally

Most selfish muslims ignore the loving them equally condition because it’s almost impossible to satisfy them equally. You will almost certainly be unjust to the other three thereby committing a sin which is frowned upon by Allah

There is a reason why some northern muslims prefer to divorce first before taking on another wife

“Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.”
— Qur'an, Sura 4 (An-Nisa)

Has the 700k stayed constant pre/post devaluation?

If yes, her point is valid as prices have adjusted in line with devaluation hence the constant struggle to balance the budget

If No, be transparent with madam with respect to your income so as to enable her manage the budget accordingly

The list contains duplicates and misinformation e.g.
Folawiyo appearing twice on the list for the same company
Ayeni being wrongly attributed to Sahara Energy

In a 2018 interview, Peter Obi said he invested $20 million in International Breweries on behalf of Anambra state as a governor.

Obi’s claim was in response to questions on economic development, Anambra politics and his presidential ambition.

“… Anambra state is the single-highest shareholder in that facility. I invested in it, over $20 million,” Obi had said.

“It is worth almost $100 [million] today. That’s what government should do.”

My philosophy is buy and hold forever.
Surely this only works with companies with sound fundamentals (Great products, robust operating model and strong leadership)

Regardless, Audit companies providing assurance activities on these companies do still get it wrong from time to time and it’s not inconceivable to see another WorldCom, Enron, Patisserie Valerie et al

Who is with me on this yeye decision. Since I started stock market,I have never sold any stock below the price I bought it.what I do is
1.If I believe in the company,I average down till I sell later at above BE
2.The shares remain thr till the company closes shop like Union homes, and many insurance companies. That is why I no like insurance companies. They do me saga in this regard
3Then some stay till they delist or another guy buys them over.it happened to Dan flour. I was with it from alhaji to tiger brand and back to alhaji. Then finally olem..Luckily all delisting has been above my BE.Adova oil and gsk
4The remaining is just thr in my portfolio. I just sold japaul. I am waiting for tantalizer, abc to go above my purchase price

I know I have lost time value of money but I no dey gree sell at loss

I guess this only works if you have a diversified portfolio. It's a responsible decision to constantly risk assess your portfolio using the usual investment metrics. Counting your loss should also be an option even if it's the last option

Let’s assume this is a brilliant idea, here are some pertinent questions for you to consider:
1) How should CBN source the outflow naira since they can’t simply use QE as soln
2) CBN can’t simply source Naira from the banks (Monetary Deposits) they regulate as that will simply turn them into a direct competitor

Please, I need very urgent advise on transcorp shares. I bought about 145,550units at 1.42 over 5years ago and I have been holding this, funds tied in there with no growth and no reasonable dividends. Though, I have no need for the funds now but I am thinking to sell off and look for a better stock with good appreciation to buy or buy back into transcorp with higher quantities if the price drops again as it has been doing? Kindly advise urgently please 🙏
