The list contains duplicates and misinformation e.g.
Folawiyo appearing twice on the list for the same company
Ayeni being wrongly attributed to Sahara Energy

In a 2018 interview, Peter Obi said he invested $20 million in International Breweries on behalf of Anambra state as a governor.

Obi’s claim was in response to questions on economic development, Anambra politics and his presidential ambition.

“… Anambra state is the single-highest shareholder in that facility. I invested in it, over $20 million,” Obi had said.

“It is worth almost $100 [million] today. That’s what government should do.”

My philosophy is buy and hold forever.
Surely this only works with companies with sound fundamentals (Great products, robust operating model and strong leadership)

Regardless, Audit companies providing assurance activities on these companies do still get it wrong from time to time and it’s not inconceivable to see another WorldCom, Enron, Patisserie Valerie et al

Who is with me on this yeye decision. Since I started stock market,I have never sold any stock below the price I bought it.what I do is
1.If I believe in the company,I average down till I sell later at above BE
2.The shares remain thr till the company closes shop like Union homes, and many insurance companies. That is why I no like insurance companies. They do me saga in this regard
3Then some stay till they delist or another guy buys them over.it happened to Dan flour. I was with it from alhaji to tiger brand and back to alhaji. Then finally olem..Luckily all delisting has been above my BE.Adova oil and gsk
4The remaining is just thr in my portfolio. I just sold japaul. I am waiting for tantalizer, abc to go above my purchase price

I know I have lost time value of money but I no dey gree sell at loss

I guess this only works if you have a diversified portfolio. It's a responsible decision to constantly risk assess your portfolio using the usual investment metrics. Counting your loss should also be an option even if it's the last option

Even the defensive stocks prices are falling too..this is a serious situation.

I'm 100% certain he has never put a gun on anyone's head though. I don't even get the incessant disclaimer of DD must be applied!!!

You are responsible for your own actions has never been true to the core !!!

You really shouldn't be investing your hard earned cash if you don't understand the game of pump and dump. It's really as simple as that and everyone is responsible for their own action/inaction

Brain-dead mongoloids

Let’s assume this is a brilliant idea, here are some pertinent questions for you to consider:
1) How should CBN source the outflow naira since they can’t simply use QE as soln
2) CBN can’t simply source Naira from the banks (Monetary Deposits) they regulate as that will simply turn them into a direct competitor

Please, I need very urgent advise on transcorp shares. I bought about 145,550units at 1.42 over 5years ago and I have been holding this, funds tied in there with no growth and no reasonable dividends. Though, I have no need for the funds now but I am thinking to sell off and look for a better stock with good appreciation to buy or buy back into transcorp with higher quantities if the price drops again as it has been doing? Kindly advise urgently please 🙏

**In the second chart I extended the data points back to 2020. Interestingly, there appears to be another pricing relationship from 2020 to 2022-03 of roughly 12 units of salt for every 10 units of sugar. I'm not sure if that is just coincidence.

Superb!!

Perhaps that’s how they arrived at the ratio

In any case, are you able to extend this analysis to possibly identify pairings that normally has a relatively stable historical deviation, and now lags significantly from such deviation. That could potentially provide a buying opportunity with the lagged stock if the analysis is bang on point

It is only logical that the two stocks must be priced in relation to the proposed announcement, even when the actual listing price is not known.

And since we know that DangSugar is the stock that is going to absorb the others, DangoteFoods' listing price should be very near DangSugar's or exactly it.

A huge variation of Nascon, especially below, from DangSugar would be a sure opportunity. So, I plotted the daily variations and noticed that it maintained close proximity to the proposed ratio.

On the other hand, I am a hobbyist stock data analyst. I ask questions and try to use statistics and stock data to answer questions as my power reach. cheesy

Volume of transactions is moving the price and it’s definitely interesting to see the perceived correlated pattern emerge

I don’t think the volume of transactions (post news) that directly correlates with price, can be manipulated to maintain the deviation. Hence my correlation doesn’t always equate to causation comment

To further test your hypothesis and validate the outcome as true positive, i have basically asked that you increase the scope of period used in extracting the daily deviation. This will allow us confidently and logically conclude the behavior is somehow related to the news even though it’s still an oddity

It is very surprising how data can reveal patterns that validate logical assumptions.

Below is a screenshot showing the percent deviation from the proposed 12 Nascon to 11 DangSugar ratio. You can see how the market has maintained this deviation between +5% and -5% starting in late August, coinciding with the announcement date of August 30th.

Even though the market does not fully agree on the price given its oscillation, it has maintained proportionality close to the announced ratio.

As of yesterday, we have a +4% deviation in favor of Nascon. I can assure you that one of two things will happen next week.

Either Nascon will fall below 60 or DangSugar will break its highest level of 70.

Edited: From the chart, I also noticed that the two stocks were already moving to align before the announcement date. Is this some form of inside trading? Have some people gotten the news before others? grin grin

Correlation doesn’t always equate to causation though

What’s the mean daily variance pre vs post News

Btw, are you a data analyst?

If you want to gamble, look for some stocks that respond to sentiments and gamble.

If you want a handsome reward in the future, look for Transcorp and buy with all your heart as much as you can.Remember it is trading at a range now.Btw 0.94 to 0.98.
Anytime you see it at 0.94,dont miss out.Keep on targeting at 0.94 until you are done. You must have a story to tell.Say na Loco told you this today.
