Politics / Re: Who Is Most Likely To Become The Next Governor Of Anambra State? by Ofido(m): 6:29pm On Apr 11
Our Anambra is unpredictable. Personally i would have liked Andy Uba to win but he has not shown interest up till now. I think maybe he is stil rubbying with the oga at the top to give his blessings.
Another serious contender now is Dr Ifeanyi uba, my dear with the way that guy is going now he wil likely win that seat oooo. I even discussing with some of his pple to work for him in the grassroot.
The election i believe will jst be between APGA, PDP and ACN but i wil give it to PDP if they didnot start they normal infighting again and present an acceptable candidate like Andy or Ifeanyi or Nwankpo. Ngige time has passed in Anambra state. Apga can only make waves if ther present Ifeanyi Uba as they candidate, parts from that nothing for them.

Nairaland / General / Total Black-out In Anambra For The Past 5days, Its Ur State Affected? by Ofido(m): 8:02am On Apr 11
Its quite annoying and very bad that at this stage of our country the so-called NEPA abi na PHCN wil sieze light for 5days now almost in the entire state and do not even care to inform we the consumers on what the problem is.
Are we really moving forward or backwards? Since saturday 6th april 2013 and up till this thursday morning 11th april the people of Onitsha metropolis in Anambra state have not seem light.
Fellow nlanders, are u expriencing same in ur area?

Romance / Re: Why Men Like Confident Women. by Ofido(m): 9:06am On Mar 09
simdam500: An ideal woman, a girl friend or a life partner must exude confidence. Gone are the days when men crave for anopportunity to be a knight in shining armor. They don’t like weaklings or delicate darlings, but smart, street intelligent and confident women who know what they are doing and what needs tobe done. A confident woman is determined and head strong, and it’s what guys look for beyond looks or sex appeal. Here are 6 reasons why men like confident women.
I totally disagree with this post, most me including myself appreciate it the more when ur women call u to help her make a little decision which u knw she can make it on her own but respect and prestige on seeking for ur opinion goes a long way. Most time we men may sound arrogant and act gidi-gidi as if she is distorbing us but deep down in our hearts we love it.
Family / Gender Equality, The Cause Of Many Broken Families Or Not? by Ofido(m): 7:26pm On Mar 07
*Women Empowerment, The curse of societal moral decadence among our women or A Blessing to this generation?
**What is your take on the 50-50 bid by our female counterpart..?
***With the present 35% given to The Female Gender in terms of political representation and lets say the little rights they tend to have grabbed by themselves, is our society safer and more peaceful now?
I got the wind of International Women Day Cerebration while listening to the radio this morning, all i heard was ''equal rights for man and woman, equal this, equal that, that the men should see they wives as partners not as wife again... Haaa! So many things came to my mind.
Fine, Nigeria has made significant strides in gender equality and protection of the right of women but lets really try to examine this gender equality bid and the pros and cons.
I have said it without mincing words that gender equality is the cause of so many divorce we see today, broken homes, most marriages are today warzones, no body wants to be under a head and seriously it has taken toll on our youth which in turn have affected the society at large.
I am in full support of women right wen it comes to subjection to early marriage, female circumcision, girl child education, molestation, widows abuse, domestic violence but for single motherhood and girl child assess to contraceptics am yet to take a stand but for they 50-50 bid ''Waa-Waa na oburu ndi Abakaliki'' am totally against it, its like trying to say that all fingers should be equal.
